About: I have rescued 3 Frenchies over the years, and fostered numerous others starting in 2008. I've fostered multiple Roadogs and Slaughterhouse Survivors (our second Frenchie rescue was a meat trade rescue who came from SHS) and currently foster for It Starts with One. I currently have one very mellow, very dog friendly, female, adult spayed Frenchie now named Reagan - who I recently adopted from the Labelle Foundation. Reagan is happy to play a little with other dogs, but she could take it or leave it. She does not resource guard and she's never shown any aggression toward the other dogs we've fostered and cared for. We also have a foster currently from Starts with One Today named Luna. She's a French Bulldog found on Skid Row and she's a gentle giant with a similar disposition to Reagan. I am a stay at home parent and I'm home for the majority of the day. I have a single story, single family home with a fully gated backyard with a 6' fence - we also have a small/medium sized doggie door (with optional ramp for the 2 steps (raised foundation) for seniors) which is available all day (we'll teach them how to use it). Please bring a harness for your dog. You are welcome to send their bed from home if you think that is a comfort item, but I don't need you to bring anything besides their food and a harness. I have experienced with: - Senior Dogs - Giving Medications (syringe, hiding in food, pushing) - Syringe Feeding - Post Surgical Care - Senior Care - Basic Potty Training Reinforcement - Palliative/Hospice Care We Have: - Dog Bed - Food and Water Bowls - 36" x 36" gated enclosure [if needed] - Crates [medium travel or large wire, if needed] and crate liners In my house: my husband and two teenagers. They give extra love but won't be responsible for any actual pet care. Note: the nightly rate is based on 24 hours. I do not prorate if you pick up early. The rate is per each night ie 8am to 8am. Or 4pm to 4pm. You can schedule your pick up or drop offs for anytime between 7am and 8pm. It's rare that I'm not home during the day - when that happens, it's usually for a very short period of time (like dropping kids at school). I'm kinda a homebody. I close the dog door around 9/10pm and reopen it at 7am. It stays open as long as I'm home, so pretty much all day 7am-10pm. I care for pets in my home only at this time. I do not offer pet sitting in your home. I have a single family home with a fully gated backyard and doggy door. Safety: Please be sure to convey any triggers or behaviors - I can probably handle most - but to ensure everyone is safe its important to know before you book. When your dog arrives at my home, I will place an airtag on your dog's collar with geofences set up, as well as a dog tag with my information, just to be extra safe. I feed dogs separately just to be extra sure there are no food squables. Our dog is not a resource guarder, but why risk it? I crate boarded and foster dogs when I am not home (which is rare) to ensure safety - once I'm comfortable that a dog is doing fine with our dog, we can stop (or feel free to request me to continue if you feel better about that).

About: I have taken care of my own dog and friend's dogs for almost 10 years. Understanding their needs and befriending dogs makes me likeable as a pet caregiver. I trained my family dog myself and he is such a great boy. I have also groomed small dogs before and am very gentle. I currently have a hybrid work schedule where I am home Thursday, Friday, and then of course the weekends are flexible and would love some companionship from a dog while I am home. I live in a large one bedroom apartment with an alarm system in unit. My neighborhood is very safe and walkable. There are lots of people in the neighborhood who walk their dogs as well.

About: I have always had pets in my home whether that’s dogs, cats, fish, etc. I’ve fostered many kittens, one time 4 at once, and i’ve fed them and taken care one left behind by its mother. There has always been at least one dog in the home and currently i have two! I’m currently working a part time job and I have only one class in person at my college so I have a lot of free time! About: I grew up taking care of pets! My childhood dog Olivier was an unusual mix; he was an eye-catching, mutant-sized Dachshund who got a lot of attention walking down the street, and we had a couple of independent-minded kitties. My family still has multiple dogs and cats. I absolutely adore dogs and feel strongly about tuning in to who they are - if they want to play, it's on! If it's a shy guy or gal, I respect their space if and until they feel more comfortable. I facilitate healing workshops and I'm an artist with a variable schedule that I keep up-to-date on my Rover calendar. I'm currently living in a building that doesn't allow dogs and I love cats but am super allergic. So daily pet care for me is making friends with and greeting my doggy neighbors. When I've had pets or boarded them previously with Rover, I always make sure to find out the basics of their personality from you, their favorite human. About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 15 years old :) I have experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, smaller rodents, and some amphibians as well! I am good with both young and old pets, and have had to administer medication for animals as well including shots - there is very little that phases me.
