About: I grew up with hunting dogs, mostly labradors, and for years, I have taken care of friends’ dogs when they’ve been out of town or need to work overtime for a bit. Much like dogs, I need enough active time during the day to really get good rest later, and I’d love to help your dogs get the attention they need! Disclaimer: I’m not a runner. If your dog needs a good run, we’ll need a dog park nearby where they can go off-leash. I’m currently running my own business from home and have a lot of availability during “normal” working hours. I take care of my own 2 cats in the during the day as well. I will treat your pets as if they are my own, and I will have the utmost respect for your home, leaving it in the same condition I found it.

About: I have owned all kinds of pets (chickens, lizards, dogs, cats, frogs, birds etc.) throughout my life. I am experienced in training new pets and taking care of difficult ones. I love being around all animals, especially after moving back from college and having to leave my roommate's cat :( I'm currently working a remote, part-time job so my schedule is fairly flexible! Willing to commute large distances to care for your pet! I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, maintain their pet’s usual routine, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while keeping their home safe and tidy.

About: Professional Pet Care from Someone Who's Done This for 35 Years I've spent decades caring for animals—professionally at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium as a diver in the Wild Reef Exhibit and personally through friends and my own ownership. What I Offer Dog sitting (drop-in visits or overnight care) Dog walking (I also hike and can take dogs on longer walks if applicable to their health and weather permitting - not too hot!) Secure, attentive supervision—I actually know your dog, not just checking in What Makes This Different I'm new to Rover, but I'm not new to responsibility. I treat your pet like mine, I notice what matters (appetite, behavior, routine), and I follow the care plan you set. Your dog gets experienced hands and someone who shows up. We will need to meet firstly, that's how we will know it's a good fit for everyone, and it's how you know I'm serious. After that, you can book with confidence! I am currently retired so I have the time to spend with your fur baby. Also, I am an avid hiker so if that is also something you are interested in for your dogs I would be a good fit! I bring plenty of experience and water! I will only hike with pets early in the morning or afternoon if it is a hotter day. I am very considerate of their wellbeing and safety! I live in a duplex; there is a park about three blocks away that I bring the pups. If the dog is capable of off leash, after I have gotten to know them a bit and feel comfortable, they will be safe, I can take them to play catch. If not, a walk or hike is my specialty. I am extremely contentious to safety first.

About: You've spent a lot of time and energy training your dog. You don't want to come back from vacation with all your hard work undone because a sitter threw your rules out the window! This is dog sitting for the 1% who take their training seriously and want a loving substitute teacher while you're gone. *** A hunting dog attacked me when I was four years old. On my way to the cul-de-sac mailbox, it jumped the fence and slammed my head onto the concrete. Scalp split open, I ran home screaming. From then on, dogs terrified me. I hid behind my mum around dogs bigger than me…and at the time, every dog was. I declared myself a cat person, and that was that. Then YouTube appeared. The algorithm’s “infinite wisdom” served up a video of Cesar Millan transforming a “mean” dog into a “nice” one in five minutes. Were all dogs really this easy to understand? If I could do what Cesar did, if I could master dog training, maybe they wouldn't scare me anymore? It became an obsession. I watched thousands of his videos. Before/after. Wild/controlled. Chaos/manageable. Scary/incredibly cute. But watching dogs on a screen was a different beast than working with them in real life. My great aunt in Cape Town, South Africa, gave me my first round of exposure therapy when she took me to a Great Dane farm. Dozens of giant dogs loomed around me. She held my hand the whole time and introduced me to every. single. one. I can do this. I can do this. She has since passed, but being around dogs reconnects me to her memory. It's a heartwarming comfort. Years later, a friend was having trouble on her walk. “Can I try?” I gave her a few concrete instructions from my musings: “Krishna, you’re really good with dogs.” “What? Nooo.” “Uh, yes. She never listens to anyone else, but she’s perfectly calm with you.” “Nahhh, she can just sense I’m vegan.” I assumed everyone understood dog body language and I was just slow on the uptake. Turns out, they don't! Not only was I no longer afraid, I was giving lessons! Today, clients fly me across the globe to care for their dogs. My last assignment took me to London for two glorious, busy weeks. While I hope to have a dog of my own again someday, I want to dedicate my time to caring for yours in the meantime. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for the walkers, the cuddlers, and the mischievous rascals. Growing up, I had two high-energy Australian Shepherds and two cats, so I’m no stranger to pets with personality. I’m a medical student at UCLA, so I service the areas around campus and near my home by LACMA. I am genuinely looking forward to spending time with your furry family members — this is something I’m doing because I love it, and that will come through in how I care for your pet! My schedule is hybrid and varies week to week, but I can almost always make time for walks and drop-in visits. With enough advance notice, I’m also available for weekend dog or cat sitting. About: Hello from Alicia and James!  First off, we love animals! We each had pets growing up and as adults - dogs, cats, hamsters, everything. Over the past ten years or so, our house has become a landing spot for our friends' dogs so we're used to providing a nice space for them - we play, run through commands, go for lots of walks, and give plenty of affection.   Having used Rover to board we know what makes a good experience. You will receive as many photos as you’d like – If you want a lot of pics and details, like me, you’ll get them. If your dog requires medication or special treatment, they’ll get it and on time – our last dog Smuckers was on meds in her older years so we know how important it is.    Our drinking water is Berkey filtered and we run two air purifiers. Our home is clean and spacious. Including a large enclosed side-patio. Our home is also a peaceful place to be. The vibe is calm. We read books, listen to music, cook, laugh, go to bed early :) and we’d love for your pet to join us. We will spoil them! I work from home so your pup will get all the attention and love they need. And lots of walks too - three a day is no problem! We previously had two dogs of our own so our home is very dog friendly - it's an indoor/outdoor space that is secure and homey. Your dogs will be treated as if they were our own - with lots of love and attention.

While being in LA, I have house and pet sat for a single dog and two dogs, and it has been so rewarding. I have looked after friends dogs too when they travel.
