About: I have been pet sitting off and on for over 20 years, and have done it as my full time job for around 2 of those years. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, as well as cats and kittens. My most challenging experiences have come from my personal pets, and I am happy to be able to share anything I have learned through those challenges. I currently have 2 amazing dogs, Tico and Reuben. Reuben is a rescue pittie with a lot of trauma from before we got him. He is an 85 pound strong puller on leash and also reactive towards other dogs so I have become quite adept at navigating those challenges on walks. Working with him to try to move past his trauma and learn to trust has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life! I had another pittie before Reuben, so I am an expert at cleaning ears/applying drops. If you know, you know! :) I have never met a dog that enjoys getting a bath, but we get through them and then have a blast during "towel time"! I have years of experience being a thunder buddy, providing comfort during storms or fireworks. My schedule is fully flexible so I am happy to care for your pet when it is most convenient for you. I am also happy to take your dog to a nearby park or walking trail if your area is not ideal for walking. I look forward to working with you to customize my care for your pet to best suit their needs, whether that means taking a walk, playing fetch or tug-of-war, or just giving belly rubs and butt scratches.

Kayla was diligent about sending us daily photo updates with a small blurb about the happenings, and checked-in/out in a timely manner. She was communicative and familiar, to the point where I chatted her up and had to reel it back hahaha I truly felt like I left my cat in the care of a friend Id known forever! Kayla is clearly kind and affectionate, because while our cat is not mean and would ever attack/bite/scratch, he is 16 years old so he can be picky about who he dotes on - and he was loving on Kayla a lot! About: Ever since I was a little kid I fell in love with every animal I met. Starting in high school I began watching pets for neighbors, family and friends. I have lived in the Asheville area now since 2017 and have spent time pet sitting many dogs, cats and chickens. I am open to watching all pets and look forward to meeting them! I have reliable transportation and am happy to come take care of your animals in your home. I have a Subaru Outback and can easily put your dog in the car to go to a park or walking trail. I do not watch pets at my own home. I currently live in an apartment building with restricted animal rules and have my own cat who is older and does not want to be around other animals.
