“I cannot recommend Baileigh enough! She stayed at my apartment with my pup, Lanikai, for three weeks while I was away, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Baileigh sent me several pictures, videos, and updates every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was gone. I could tell almost immediately that Lanikai took to her and felt completely comfortable with her. Being away for three weeks is a long time, but knowing Lanikai was happy, loved, and in such great hands made it so much easier for me to actually relax and enjoy my trip. Baileigh also took incredible care of my apartment. I came home to everything looking fantastic, and somehow the place was even cleaner than when I left! It is such a relief to find someone I completely trust with both Lanikai and my home. Baileigh will absolutely be my go to pup sitter anytime I am away in the future. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, communicative, and genuinely wonderful with animals. Thank you so much, Baileigh, for taking such amazing care of Lanikai! We will absolutely be booking with you again! 🐾❤️”

About: I have a BS in Animal Science and have 2 years direct experience working with animals. I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter, as well as received Volunteer of the Year award during that time. I've walked dogs, changed cats litter, fed rabbits, and made sure all animals in the shelter had fresh food and water, as well as clean spaces. I’ve always had a caring heart for animals, and am looking forward to taking care of you and your beloved pets! Tambien hablo español! My regular full time job is an accountant. M/F I am free in the evenings, and weekends I am available as well. Having a consistent work schedule for my regular job gives me more flexibility to do what I want in my free time. I adopted a bird a few years ago and have loved taking care of her. She is a cockatiel, and takes certain weekly/monthly maintenance requirements, which shows I'm careful in what I do. Myself being also a fit athletic person makes me a good fit for all size dogs and cats, which I have experience working with at my local animal shelter.
“I would recommend Karlee to anyone looking for a sitter. While she watched our Golden Retriever, she stayed in communication with us while we were away, sent photos with updates, took her on walks, left our space clean, and she took really good care of our girl. With our permission, she even took her over to her house during the day to play with her own dog. We had a great experience with Karlee and would book with her again!”

“Everyone loves a sitter who is attentive, genuinely cares for animals, and provides regular updates with photos & videos, right? That was Kimmie for me. She was wonderful with my pup, Koko. Kimmie noticed that Koko had some cough symptoms and an abraded paw. She alerted me right away, sent videos, offered suggestions & insight, treated her injury, and was willing to bring her over to the vet if needed. She was in constant communication about Koko's status and sent photos regularly. That definitely gave me peace of mind while I was away. Her home is also full of toys to keep the pups entertain! I would recommend Kimmie to anyone in need of boarding.”

About: I worked at a vet clinic for over a year and worked with a dog trainer afterwards as an assistant trainer. I have 2 German Shepherds and a French Bulldog of my own that I trained myself. I love all animals and want to continue working with and care for them. I love hikes, and long walks. If allowed, I would prefer take your pup for a stroll up in our beautiful mountains to give them extra enrichment. I am currently unemployed, waiting to go back to school full-time in January. My schedule is almost always open, and I never cancel unless for emergencies. I have trained several dogs and am familiar with temperament. I love taking long walks or hikes up in the mountains. I have a very sweet puppy that loves everyone if you would like your furbaby to have some company. I have housesitted for several neighbors growing up and am familiar with the typical process. Your pets and/or house is in good hands.
“Rin is very professional, responsible, and kind. When we got home, our dogs were happy, healthy, and well cared for. It was clear that Rin took great care of them while we were away. We truly appreciate all the time and effort Rin put into looking after our pets. Thank you so much, Rin!”

“Nicole was awesome! Took great care of our fur babies while we were out of town. She was incredibly flexible with our last minute change to travel plans as well. 10/10 recommend and hopeful that she will choose to sit for us again in the future.”

“The dogs, and cats, absolutely loved Cameron. Which is quite impressive for my babies! And he sent updates by photo and messages letting us know what fun activities they were doing. Will definitely book with Cameron next time we leave town!!”

“Amber was extremely flexible with her schedule and after a last minute cancellation from my other dog sitter, she responded quickly to my Rover request. She was very attentive to the dogs but also the house and cleaning up. She put away my dishes and loaded the dishwasher and started it for me. We were just gone one evening but it was nice to come home to a clean home and happy fur babies. Thank you, Amber!”

“Fantastic human, great house/catsitter. My cats instinctively took to her during the meeting and greet… Which is always reassuring 😻 I was gone for two weeks, and came home to a clean house and well taken care of cats. Macy was very responsive to my requests of daily updates on the little monsters, even when I did not have service… something that really helped me let go of my pet responsibilities and enjoy my trip 👌🏽 Would definitely hire again”

“Meredy took care of my cat and dog while I was away for a couple of days and I came home to them healthy and in great spirits! I will be using her as a sitter again, she was great and communicative throughout!”

“Maegan was perfect for what we needed! Love, play, medication support, even some plant watering while we were away. Dogs loved her so much they kept going into our guest room looking for her after got home for our trip!”

“Zoe was prompt, communicative, respectful, and an all around great caretaker of our fur babies and our home - we definitely hope to get Zoe’s help again the next time we travel!”

About: Hi, I’m Greta! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a special place in my heart for dogs. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 12, starting with my own pups as well as neighbors’ and friends’ dogs. I now have two wonderful dogs and a very sweet kitten of my own, so I understand how much love, attention, and consistency they need to feel safe and happy. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or snuggles, I’ll treat your dog like they’re part of my family. I’m reliable, responsible, and committed to making sure your pup feels cared for while you’re away. From energetic walks to cozy companionship, I’ll provide the same level of care I’d want for my own dogs. I do have some experience in training, specifically with my own puppies. Im currently working as a part-time nanny, and I would love to use my extra hours pet sitting! I’m available evenings and overnights, but I need to be out the door on my way to work by 7am. Tuesdays and Thursday's I end work at 12, so there’s a lot of extra daytime hours there. I have fridays, saturdays, and sundays completely free! When I’m pet sitting, I try to devote all my attention to your best friend! I love to play, walk, and cuddle! I am also happy to do some light housework, and I will be sure to clean up after myself and your pet every day.

We already have her booked at Christmas!! Thank you Rachel!”

“Amber took care of our French bulldog Arlo for the weekend and was amazing! She spent so much time with Arlo and was great at helping him around. We would love to have Amber watch Arlo again in the future!”

Caroline was fantastic with our Golden Retriever and Border Collie this weekend! She clearly has a great way with dogs both of ours came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. She kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us total peace of mind. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dog loving sitter!”

Could not be more pleased with how Amber took care of our 2 older German Shepherds. Completely exceeded all of our expectations. The dogs immediately were at ease with her during our meet and greet which was so comforting. One of our dogs is very skeptical of strangers and it was a non issue the minute she walked into our house. Amber spent 10 days with them and gave us regular updates and was super cautious, communicative and caring for our fur babies. This was absolutely the most at ease we’ve been on a vacation away from our fur babies ever. She was very respectful and clean with our home and will have her back for our next vacation. Can’t recommend her enough!!!!

Nichole is a top notch dog sitter. She stayed with our older greyhound in our home for five nights. She provided updates and was excellent at communicating. Our dog was happy and well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely have Nichole stay with him again!

Karlee was so awesome! We didn't have to worry that Gracie was without a loving caretaker. Karlee even took our very naughty doggie on a walk. It is such a relief to know that we can leave our dog and go on vacation. I highly recommend Karlee and will ask her again to take care of our dog. The pictures she sent were proof that Gracie had warmed up and made a new friend.
Cameron was great. I have three dogs and my dog Sam requires some additional care and cleaning, Cameron was willing to provide it and did a great job. He provided daily updates and pictures from their walks. My house was clean and dogs were happy when I returned. I'll use Cameron's services again and highly recommend him!

Alex did a wonderful job watching our two babies on a last minute request. He was clean and tidy, even went to the extent of removing his bed sheets (which was very thoughtful) and making sure the trash was taken out when he was finished with his stay. He made sure our pup got all of his medications and was a great house guest.

Tiffany was the best kitty babysitter! She sent us so many photos and videos of our babies while we were gone. One of my cats got scared of the fireworks and Tiffany sat in our unfinished basement with her to help her feel safe. She kept our home clean and did exactly as we asked. The cats were happy when we arrived back home. We will definitely work with Tiffany again in the future!

A+ rating every time! Pavel is awesome and so helpful when taking care of our pets. He is very attentive and communicative, and our pets love him. He’s always our go-to sitter when we’re going out of town. We are so grateful we found him on here. Definitely recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woods Cross walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woods Cross maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woods Cross choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woods Cross. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
