“Ben is great!! My dog is a rescue and can be a bit skittish around strangers especially men, but Jethro isn’t scared seems to really like Ben and enjoys his visits with him. Ben has been walking and playing with my dog during visits and really trying to get to know my dog. I appreciate everything he has done and will continue booking him for weekly visits. Ben is definitely five stars!!”

“Cari is absolutely amazing, and my dog, Faraday, already adores her: head tilt, tongue out, excited jumping all show up when he hears Cari's name. She's responsible, flexible, and excellent at communicating and sending pictures. I cannot praise her enough. She deserves all the props! Love her!”

“Becky was fantastic. She has a very outgoing personality and is always smiling. My dog Goldie knows when she is coming over and gets so excited to see her and loves her walks with Becky. Becky is always on time for her appointments and truly loves pets. I absolutely recommend her.”

“Cydnee & her sister are a mission critical part of my family's support system. I truly wouldn't trust my pup with anyone else. My pup also ADORES them! She picked her up once while I was working & my pup didn't even look back at me 😂❤️”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12. Different abilities from young to elderly dogs and from 15 lbs to 150 lbs. I like to practice calmness in regular and unknown settings. I usually have the mornings free to be able to walk/ run or hiking. I like to make sure the animals and myself are safe. I make sure animals have a clean area to eat and play. A healthy trusting relationship between caregiver and animal is crucial for me to know that everyone is safe and happy.
“Jenna was quick to respond and provide a picture at the start and end of her walk with my pup! At the end of the walk I would have appreciated an overview of how the walk went with a bit more detail eg. he went #2 and it was solid, he mostly sniffed around, etc.”

“McKenzie has just started walking my dog. She has been great with her. She’s great with Communication, patience, kindness, and going the extra mile. My girl loves her. I can’t recommend McKenzie enough!”

About: I honestly know how difficult and STRESSFUL it can be to find the right person to care for your pet. I hope I can help bring you peace of mind in the process. It's hard enough to be away from our loved ones without worrying that they're not getting the level of care you give them and they deserve. I've taken care of and owned cats my whole life with dogs stepping into the last half of my life. With 3 dogs of my own, including experience with a chronically ill pup, I'm used to catering to pets with special diets and regular medication. I deeply enjoyed the time I spent working in a veterinary and boarding clinic, getting to experience the joy of taking care of every pet's needs, whether that be overnight boarding, day boarding, health and wellness, or basic training. I have loved pet sitting for people close to me for the last 4 years and decided to take it further to be able to fully enjoy the love and company that pets bring every day. I can provide comfort for any pet parents worried about their safety and standard of care. I would be delighted to get to spend more time with your pet and will keep you updated with photos, videos, and any special experiences during the time you're away. I'm a home-body and have a very flexible schedule, making me available for full attentiveness at any time, day or night. I understand how vital it is to find the right person to trust with your babies. I hope I have the opportunity to be that right fit you're looking for. I am currently caring for pets full time and am able to provide any routine your pet needs to be happy and at peace while you are away. Whether in my own home or yours, I can make any adjustments needed to accommodate any specific needs your pet may have. I have high standards of care I provide, whether in my home or yours. I am able to keep a close eye in any situation to ensure your pet is safe, healthy, and happy.

Mayra did an amazing job with my pup Nyx! She was so attentive, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Nyx was comfortable and happy the entire walk. I really appreciated the detailed updates and photos. Mayra paid close attention to her energy level and needs. She’s friendly, thoughtful, and went above and beyond. I’m so grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
