“Leaving our puppy with Rachael and her family was stress free as she took such great care of him. She was in communication with us the entire time, gave us updates and sent lots of pictures to keep us at ease! They made sure to give him all the love and care while we were gone!”

“Alicia was very accommodating for Norman, he ended up staying one extra night with her because my flight got canceled! He’s a very happy tired pup from all the activities and love she gave him”

“Kellie did an amazing job caring for my dog, Rue! I really appreciated receiving photos while I was away. It was wonderful to see Rue had such a fun time playing in the backyard and getting along so well with their dog, Noodle. I will definitely be trusting Kellie with dog sitting again in the future!”

“What can I say? Tara was and is absolutely incredible! Not only did she accept my request for a sitter only a couple of days before my trip, but she was amazing while I was gone. My poor new puppy got an eye infection while I was gone and Tara went out of her way to take her to the vet and take extra special care of my dog. She continuously kept me updated throughout my trip with texts and sending plenty of pictures. I am so glad I went with someone so experienced and would a) request her again and most importantly, b), would recommend her in an instant!”

“Alexis has watched our animals (two cats and an English bulldog with some medical issues) multiple times. She does a fantastic job taking care of them, giving them their medications, grooming them, and just giving them lots of love and attention. We feel so lucky to have her!!”

“Ziggy had a great time with Valerie and Nicholas. My wife and I recently moved to SLC from the east coast and this past week was the first time we've traveled anywhere without our pup. We so appreciated Valerie and Nicholas's communication while we were away. They made sure Ziggy got time outside and exercise and lots of snuggles! We will definitely book with Valerie and Nicholas again next time we travel.”

“Erica is our go to sitter. We don’t worry about our dogs at all, we know they are being well taken care of. They get walks and lots of love! We also get pictures throughout their stay. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Erin was awesome with Milo, sent us photos and shared updates while we were gone for 10 days. Milo loved playing with her 2 dogs and came home very tired, which is always a good sign. Highly recommend Erin”

“This was my first time boarding our dog and Cambree was awesome. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. She was so patient and helpful throughout the whole process from helping our dog transition and feel comfortable and communicating with me on how he was doing. She was very accommodating with our schedule and quick to respond. Our dog came home happy and relaxed.”

“They are incredibly awesome people!! Milo loves going over there! The pics they send show how happy he is. I’ll definitely be taking him back!”

“Grecia was amazing and clearly had much experience with dog behavior. My girl is a bit overreactive with strangers and Grecia immediately assessed this and knew how to handle the situation effectively calming my dog and building up her initial trust. I explained that she also has some reactivity issues with new dogs until she warms up to them which she noted and apparently worked on because she was able to get my dog to walk along with hers. I even noticed that my Mei Mei was not going crazy when confronted with a pair of loose dogs at the park on my first walk back with her. Lastly, she was able to take this booking last minute as I had unplanned lengthy work hours for a couple of days and so that in of it self was so much help. I very much appreciate her ability to work with me and the awesome experience she gave. Thank you!”

“Ashley was amazing! She’s very quick at responding and sent me updates while I was away. For a dog that has pretty bad separation anxiety, Reggie seemed to love his stay! Will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Holly’s such a sweet soul! We did a meet and greet to see if our dogs are compatible to be around. She’s patient with her dogs in meeting mine, by slowly introducing them one by one. We met for about an hour until my dog was ok to be with everyone. She kept me posted while I was away, providing pictures of how the days went. I’m so happy my dog had a wonderful time! Thank you, again, Holly!! ☺️”

About: Your dog will receive so much love and attention during their stay. With Mom and Dad home throughout the day, your pup will have consistent companionship and supervision—not just a place to stay. We also have 3 boys at home that love all things dogs! (Ages 14-17) We tailor your dog's stay to their energy level, whether that means trail walks, runs, playtime, fetch in our large fenced yard, or simply relaxing and soaking up attention. Meals are prepared according to your instructions so your dog’s routine stays as familiar as possible. Our family has a calm, friendly 70-pound Labradoodle who loves having canine visitors. He is easygoing, non-dominant, and does not have territorial issues. We know getting ready to leave town can be hectic, so we are also happy to help with local pickup before your trip or drop-off at your home after your dog’s stay. We always have one or two adults are home throughout the day. One works from home, and Mom is also here to provide supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and plenty of attention. The only regular exception may be while we attend church, and we will always make sure your pup is comfortable, secure, and settled before we leave. Pictures and update texts will be sent daily! Your dog will enjoy a fully fenced yard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore, along with lots of toys to keep them entertained. We also have a dog door for pups who are used to moving freely between the house and yard. Our two 14-year-old boys are true dog lovers and happily help with playtime, attention, and care. We only care for one guest dog at a time, so your pup receives personalized attention and is treated like part of our family. Everyone in our home has experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. We understand when a dog wants affection, when they want to play, and when they simply need a little space to relax.
“Shana was amazing! I have a challenging dog and she warmed up to Shana so fast because she has such a good energy and awareness with dogs. She sent pictures and kept me updated. This was the first time I ever used Rover and I was so nervous but I knew my dog was in good hands with her. I would definitely use Shana again.”

“First time using Cody and Rover. I usually do not leave reviews but felt I had to. Dropped my Luna off and she immediately took to introduce herself to Cody's dogs. They all got along great, played and had such a great time. I was sent picture and video of Luna playing and having fun. She looked so worn out from having too much fun...lol. they took such good care of Luna, like she was there own. I have another booking with them and all my concerns are gone now that I got to see how much fun she had and how they took such good care of her. So much better than putting her in a kennel for boarding. I will be using Cody and his wife as long as they are available. Thank you for taking good care of my baby while I am gone.”

Roxana was wonderful with my elderly chihuahua. He definitely has a big personality and some quirks, but she got along with him wonderfully and was very accommodating of his needs. She was very flexible with drop-off and pickup times and communicated very well. I would definitely send my dog to her again!

Kenzi and her family are amazing! They took such good care of Ralph and loved him as their own. She had things prepared like frozen lick mats and a little pool for outside when our weather was going to be close to 100*. I’m sure Ralph can’t wait for our next trip so he can stay at Kenzi’s house again!

We left our 3 yr old wire haired pointing Griffin Stanley, with Alyssa while we went on vacation. I could tell Stanley was so well taken care of! He ate well and got along well with her cute dogs. It was so nice knowing he was happy and well taken care of. He was happy and in good spirits when we picked him up, and I could tell it was a fun and not a stressful stay for him. We loved Alyssa, and hope she is available next time we need a dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
