Pet care experience

Quiet pet-free home!

Hi there! For as long as I can remember I’ve always been in love with dogs. I’ve recently moved back to Utah and bought my first home! It gets lonely at times, but I am not in a space financially for a dog just yet, which means I would love the opportunity to take care of yours! You can look forward to a focused and attentive visit without other pets or children hanging around! I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for a long time and have loved every minute of it. Most of my experience is with medium to large dogs, but I am also good with small dogs. I’ve worked with chill dogs, but also very aggressive dogs, so I’ve pretty much seen it all. I can’t wait to have a dog running around the house!

Grace was great ! Our dog was well taken care of and we loved the daily updates with photos. She was able to accommodate us last minute and was flexible with our changing plans.

I’ve known Grace for 11 years, and if there’s one thing everyone knows about her, it’s that she absolutely loves dogs. She has always had dogs of her own and takes incredible care of them. Grace has a lot of experience training and caring for dogs at all stages of life. She is fantastic with high energy puppies, rambunctious teenage dogs, and gentle senior pets who need extra patience. As a person, Grace is a wonderful friend who is always reliable, well natured, and passionate. I would trust her with any dog without hesitation, and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter.

Grace watched my American Bully multiple days at a time for months and I was so happy to not only have someone familiar for him to be with, but someone who I already knew was great with dogs. He absolutely loved her and was so spoiled whenever he went with her. She would leave work everyday at lunch just to come home and check on him and give him love and treats. He would go on walks with her daily, and she has training experience from family dogs, which was also a bonus. She is truly a blessing for taking such great care of my big baby.

Grace loves animals more than most humans, in all the best ways! She cares and is compassionate, but she doesn't let them walk all over her. If somebody had instructions for their pet, she would follow it and be respectful of what they are asking. We used to foster dogs that were training to be service animals and had rules for training them and such that she followed. Dogs love her because she loves them, but she's not in their face and overwhelming them. She's had quiet, sweet dogs and a dog that's very dog aggressive, so she knows how to deal with them all and how to handle things and stay calm. She's seriously the best pet owner.

Schedule

I currently work during the weekdays, but the office is only a 10 minute drive from my house so when I have a dog over I have no problem coming home during lunch to play with the dog and let them out and make sure that everything is okay! This might not work with smaller or younger dogs, but my job is pretty chill so if they need the extra attention, reach out and I will try and work it out if possible. I don’t work weekends (and am a homebody to a fault) so most of my weekends are spent at home hanging out. You can also expect nightly walks after dinner!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced yard and live right next to a park that hardly ever has people! I live in a very quiet neighborhood and everyone is super chill! I grew up fostering dogs that were training to be service animals, so while I am not a certified trainer, I know a few tips and tricks, but I also know how to follow specific instructions based on what your dog needs!

A typical day

I love playing fetch and tug-of-war, but I am also down to sit on the couch and cuddle or completely ignore each other! Whatever your dog needs or wants!

Let me know of any special requests or needs your dog has! I grew up with very chill dogs, but I have also had a very aggressive dog that had to be introduced to people a special way, so let me know and I can adjust!
