“First time using Cody and Rover. I usually do not leave reviews but felt I had to. Dropped my Luna off and she immediately took to introduce herself to Cody's dogs. They all got along great, played and had such a great time. I was sent picture and video of Luna playing and having fun. She looked so worn out from having too much fun...lol. they took such good care of Luna, like she was there own. I have another booking with them and all my concerns are gone now that I got to see how much fun she had and how they took such good care of her. So much better than putting her in a kennel for boarding. I will be using Cody and his wife as long as they are available. Thank you for taking good care of my baby while I am gone.”

“Christy and Luke gave great service to our dog Sammie, while my wife and I went out of town for four days. They both gave incredible attention and care. Taking Sammie for walks and lots of ball time. They provided daily photos and updates on how Sammie was doing. Sammie even got along with the cat in their home. It was of great comfort knowing that Christy and Luke care a lot for pets and they showed this through their service. Will return back to them both. Excellent service and care!”

“She sent pics+updates, was very responsive, and was willing to work around a change in plans. My dog was very happy when I picked her up. We plan to use her again in the future!”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Angelia took amazing care of Piper and kept me at ease the whole time. I’m so grateful for her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend her!”

“I loved that Ashley set up a little meeting before the visit and knew that my baby was going to be well cared for! He hardly cared that we came home because he loved his time away!”

“Mitch and Tara were fantastic with our nervous girl, Chloe. They were so sweet with her. They updated us regularly with pics and updates. They took especially good care to follow all of our instructions. They were just wonderful! We truly appreciate them keeping our girl happy and safe and we highly recommend them! :)”

“Elvis has a great time and I loved the regular updates we got about how much fun he was having. He was well cared for and I felt so comfortable knowing he was somewhere trusted”

“We were so happy with Ruby’s care while we were gone for a prolonged period. They kept us up to date with pictures and their dog thankfully loved to play with Ruby and kept her busy and worn out. They shared toys, walked her, and let her snooze close by which really are Ruby’s favorite things. We would unquestionably choose Ashley and Michael again for Ruby’s care.”

“Hailee was very good at communication. We received updates daily. Our sweet girl was so well cared for and loved! When we came back to get her, she was happy to see us, without any anxiety we might see if her stay was not excellent. We could tell that she had a great time and was safe and happy. I will definitely use Hailee again in the future and highly recommend her service!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Aimee. Willow seemed to really love staying there and we felt very comfortable leaving her for the week. We will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Kasey and Mason were great! I wanted our dogs to stay at a home where they would be well taken care of and feel like part of the family. I know they had that with Kasey and Mason.”

“Ally and her dogs were awesome! She sent lots of updates and her house was also very pet friendly with a huge fenced backyard. My pup came back happy and tired from all the playing, we’re looking forward to seeing her and her dogs again :)”

“Micah was great! He was very responsive, sent great updates about my doggies little adventures, and helped keep my critter very comfortable and well taken care of.”

“Tara was an amazing sitter! This was my first time using Rover.com. I had to travel to NC for a wedding, but couldn't keep the dog at the hotel where the party was staying. After reading the reviews and seeing how well Tara took care of her own pups, I knew mine would be in good hands. She provided great communication and lots of pictures and videos. My dog felt comfortable and had a wonderful stay. I wish I lived closer to her because I would work with Tara again in a heartbeat. Any other sitters I book will have a lot to live up to! :-)”
“Grecia was amazing and clearly had much experience with dog behavior. My girl is a bit overreactive with strangers and Grecia immediately assessed this and knew how to handle the situation effectively calming my dog and building up her initial trust. I explained that she also has some reactivity issues with new dogs until she warms up to them which she noted and apparently worked on because she was able to get my dog to walk along with hers. I even noticed that my Mei Mei was not going crazy when confronted with a pair of loose dogs at the park on my first walk back with her. Lastly, she was able to take this booking last minute as I had unplanned lengthy work hours for a couple of days and so that in of it self was so much help. I very much appreciate her ability to work with me and the awesome experience she gave. Thank you!”

Brooke and her family took such great care of our two dogs while we were away! She sent regular updates, which gave us complete peace of mind—we never had to worry about them. It was so comforting knowing our dogs were in such good hands and getting so much love while we were gone. Thank you so, so much, Brooke! We truly appreciate everything you did for them.

Brynne took wonderful care of our pup Stella. Stella had a cyst burst while we were away and Brynne cared for her well and helped ensure Stella didn't lick or scratch the wound. She communicated well and also did a great job acclimating Stella to the other dogs she was watching.

Embry is always treated like family at Casondra’s house, you can tell because when I drop her off she walks in like she owns the place and hardly turns around to say goodbye. Our girl always has the best time there, thank you always for loving on her like she is your own!

We left our 3 yr old wire haired pointing Griffin Stanley, with Alyssa while we went on vacation. I could tell Stanley was so well taken care of! He ate well and got along well with her cute dogs. It was so nice knowing he was happy and well taken care of. He was happy and in good spirits when we picked him up, and I could tell it was a fun and not a stressful stay for him. We loved Alyssa, and hope she is available next time we need a dog sitter!

Loved Josie! This was our first time using Rover - using a pet sitter actually and Josie was wonderful to work with. She was super responsive and flexible. She even gave us some helpful tips as first time pet owners. She sent us pictures which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed! It was fun to see our cat being well taken care of while we were away! We will definitely be using her again!

I was incredibly grateful to Makell and family for watching over my beloved boy while I was away for work responsibilities. This was the first time we had to leave him for a week and it was stressful for me. Makell was so kind, allowing us to come for a pre-visit before my departure, which significantly put my mind at ease. I received daily updates and photos which were truly appreciated!! I can tell he had a great time and made new friends when I picked him up. Their fenced-in backyard was a great place for Lucas to play with their kids and their dog, Charlie! Thank you so much!! I can't express enough how much this relieved my mind as my dog means everything to me. I would highly recommend Makell to anyone needing a clean, kind, fun and safe place for their furbaby!🥰

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
