“Baileigh was so great! Very sweet and interactive with Bandit. Bandit can be a little standoffish to new people and she was really great with reading his behaviors! Would absolutely recommend!”

“Tiffany was very good to my two, somewhat complicated cats. She was very attentive and eased my concerns about the administration of their medications while I was gone. She was very communicative about her visits and sent many pictures. She won the love of my very bashful cat while caring for them. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Amber was great to work with from the very beginning of interacting with her. This was the first time leaving our dog and she made it an easy transition. I felt very at ease leaving him. She went above and beyond taking care of him with house visits twice a day for 4 days.”

About: Hi, I’m Summer! I just moved to Utah from Florida and have lived with and cared for dogs my whole life. I have experience with small and large breeds, as well as puppies and senior dogs. In college, I looked after my roommate’s labradoodle solo for about three months, handling walks, feedings, and plenty of playtime and cuddles. Now that I’m getting to know Utah and spending more time outdoors, I’d love some furry company along the way! I truly love dogs and treat every one like family. Whether your pup loves adventures, playtime, or cozy naps, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. My schedule is really flexible right now since I’m not currently working, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pup! I’m usually around during the week for walks or drop-ins. I always treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I keep a close eye on safety during walks, double-check doors and gates, and follow your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and happy. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and pictures so you always know your dog is safe and cared for.
“Jenny was great, we needed a last minute sitter and she was very accommodating! She was great with our pup and sent photo updates throughout the whole weekend. Will definitely use her in the future!!”

“Easy five stars. I'd give more stars if there was an option. After my initial person fell through, Ben, day-of, accepted my request to drop in 3 times a day. Ben was punctual, thorough, and very caring. He went above and beyond. I feel extremely comfortable and confident in recommending Ben to anyone out there!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs at every stage of life. My most recent pup had several health issues, which taught me to be especially attentive to medication schedules, routines, and changes in behavior or well-being. I’m passionate about providing a safe, loving, and happy environment where every dog feels comfortable and cared for, no matter their age or needs. I’m currently full time- however I work a hybrid schedule. I will be working from home on Thursdays and Fridays to help accommodate any weekend trips! Although I do not have a yard, I have access to grass outside my home and the surrounding neighborhood. I myself no longer have my own pup, but I live with my sister who owns a French bulldog. He can help keep your pup company, and for those pups who are a little less friendly and prefer to keep to themselves, I am able to keep them completely separate, and will crate if needed/wanted.
“Amy was super fast in replying and so accommodating with my very short notice. She was so kind and I could tell my babies were well loved and taken care of. Would love to have her care for my pups again!!”

“Christina is awesome! This is the second time she’s taken care of my cats, and my super shy cat even came out to say hi. They love her, and she sends great pics and is very responsive!”

“Thank you for taking care of my fur babies. I came home to happy and healthy kitty cats. Thank you for taking the time to make sure their food was prepared as they need it. The extra effort goes a long way.”

“Hannah is exactly the type caretaker you want for your cat while you are away. She is very loving, kind hearted and thoughtful which puts your pet at ease without stress. It's an immediate attachment between the two. This helped me to not worry as well. I give her my highest recommendation and know that I would readily call upon her again.”

“Sydney was great! She came and took care of my cats over the Thanksgiving holiday. She was very good at communicating and sending photos. I would highly recommend her to help you out with your pets!”

“5 Stars – Highly Recommended! Rachael is an outstanding cat sitter! She cared for my cat with genuine love, attention, and professionalism. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Rachael again!”

“Nicole was a life saver! I had an unexpected outing that kept me away from home for too long. I contacted her very last minute and thankfully she was able to stop by for a check in. Would definitely book again.”

“Rachel was an amazing Rover, and we truly appreciated her ability to accommodate our needs on such short notice. This was our first time booking through Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Laura was very friendly and took great care of sugar. Sugar looks like she had a blast. Laura was also quick to respond to a change in the care plan which I absolutely appreciated!”

“Christine was amazing! She visited our place daily to take great care of our young kitten while we were away. She clearly did a wonderful job and kept us updated, even ensuring our house stayed nice and tidy while we were away. We truly appreciated Christine keeping our kitten happy and our minds at ease while travelling. Thank you Christine!”

Reagan is the best sitter I could have asked for. She took care of my two kitties for 10 days and kept them company as well as was extremely reliable. She has fast communication and is very friendly. I loved having her as a sitter and if needed/possible, I will be requesting her again!

Keeli was phenomenal and took great care of our senior kitty. She was communicative, punctual, and great about meeting our cat where he was at. Our cat often takes time to warm up to new people, but he took to Keeli very quickly (which have us great peace of mind). We will definetly ask her to care for him again when we go out of town!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
