“Baileigh did a wonderful job with our cat Babette! Babette's mood was warm and happy when we returned. She warmed up to her right away. Baileigh kept us updated with cute pics and our place was just as we left upon return!”

“She was wonderful! Tiffany was very responsive, sent daily updates and photos, and took great care of our fur-babies. Even during unexpected cold and snowy weather, she brought in our strawberry plant as requested and got the dogs out for a couple walks. Our pets loved her, and we came home to happy animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“I would recommend Karlee to anyone looking for a sitter. While she watched our Golden Retriever, she stayed in communication with us while we were away, sent photos with updates, took her on walks, left our space clean, and she took really good care of our girl. With our permission, she even took her over to her house during the day to play with her own dog. We had a great experience with Karlee and would book with her again!”

“Rin is very professional, responsible, and kind. When we got home, our dogs were happy, healthy, and well cared for. It was clear that Rin took great care of them while we were away. We truly appreciate all the time and effort Rin put into looking after our pets. Thank you so much, Rin!”

“Amber was extremely flexible with her schedule and after a last minute cancellation from my other dog sitter, she responded quickly to my Rover request. She was very attentive to the dogs but also the house and cleaning up. She put away my dishes and loaded the dishwasher and started it for me. We were just gone one evening but it was nice to come home to a clean home and happy fur babies. Thank you, Amber!”

“The dogs, and cats, absolutely loved Cameron. Which is quite impressive for my babies! And he sent updates by photo and messages letting us know what fun activities they were doing. Will definitely book with Cameron next time we leave town!!”

“Amber did a great job taking care of the house, it looked better than when we left and the pups were all well cared for. We have a couple of tricky doggos one is aggressive with other dogs, outside of his pack, the other guards their food and one is just a bit older and can just be a little needy from time to time. All to say Amber did great and we’d recommend her without question. Thank you!!!”

“Anne was amazing! Super communicative and easy going. She cared for and loved on our dogs like they were her own. She even sent picture updates of some of the happenings. I definitely recommend her for your dog sitting needs!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid. I would feed, walk and scoop the poop of my childhood dog for years. I also sitted for my sisters dog every day for a summer when she was a puppy. I currently have two cats and one kitten that enjoy a happy home full of treats, catnip and toys. I also have experience administering an inhaler to cats which I do morning and night for one of mine. I have open availability and can work Monday-Friday. I feed, clean the litter box, and play with my three cats daily and always make time to make sure they are happy and healthy. I have two cat trees for my cats to rest and relax on as well as plenty of toys, treats, and hard and wet food for them. I make sure to give them plenty of belly rubs and attention. I can assure that your cats and dogs will be happy, safe, and well fed with me in their care.
About: I have been house sitting for neighbors since I was in high school as a side hobby because I loved to have an excuse to hangout with all of their animals. I myself grew up in a 5 dog, 4 horse, 3 cat household so I am also used to handling multiple animals at a time. I would love a reason to come play with your animals! I currently work part time between the hours of 8-4 varying most weeks. I am more than happy to spend nights at the home if needed! I usually get up pretty early in the mornings so that I can spend about two hours with the fur baby’s before I have to leave for work. I have taken care of dogs with specific medical needs (medication, massages, etc.) so I am able to administer anything needed.

“Thank you Melia for taking such great care of the boys. When I got home, my two dogs seemed happy and calm! Melia took great care of the home too, stripped the bed and cleaned up after herself. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Haley was incredible! She sent tons of pictures and took my dog on loads of walks. She left my house super clean and was very communicative the whole time. I’d definitely recommend her and book her again myself!”

“We have never left our babies alone without a family member watching them. Tammy made us feel so comfortable. She communicated several times a day on how the dogs were doing, which put me at ease being away from them. I would highly recommend Tammy. She definitely treats your babies as her own. I already have our next sitting appointment with her!”

About: Hello! My name is Nichole. I am the owner of a small pet-sitting business in the Salt Lake City, UT area. Much of my experience is with exotic animals (avian, aquatic, small mammals), as well as numerous dog breeds, including both toy and working breeds of all ages. I've enjoyed the privilege of working with animals of all varieties (including cats, allergies can't stop me x)! I take care of exercise and playtime needs, grooming, drop-in visits, overnight care, and am experienced in handling a variety of mild-moderate medical and behavioral needs. Additionally, I'm deeply fascinated by animal behavior and psychology. I offer positive reinforcement and classical conditioning training, should that be of interest. If you like, I'll add some tricks to your pet's repertoire, provide some insight on your pet's state of mind, or simply tidy up their manners to your specifications. Feel free to reach out with inquiries. I am more than happy to provide references and answer questions! I take clients one at a time, 7 days/wk, meaning your pets will have my undivided attention. Time slots are first come first serve- I will try my best to accommodate! Typically, I do drop-in visits and/or overnight sitting in your home. I offer boarding on a case by case basis only! I find that most animals do best in a familiar environment. My specialty is providing customized in-home assistance for beloved pets to meet mental stimulation and exercise needs!
“Xion was amazing! They went above and beyond in home sitting our dog over our Thanksgiving vacation. From near-daily text and photo updates, to even shoveling snow from our driveway and sidewalk, they really took care of everything and more. So grateful and would absolutely book again!”

“Kimmie was great. She very much enjoyed sitting and playing with our Springer. And, she was generous and fun with the photos she sent. I will definitely ask her back.”

About: I have been a pet sitter for many years and have experience in dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles. I have walked dogs and have had several pets. I am good with animals and would love to help! I am a high school senior with my CNA and EMT certifications. I work part time for an assisted living and have only two classes so I have time to work midday. I can do overnights on certain days, especially the weekend. I have had several pets and currently have a cat. I know how I would want my kitten treated and I strive to give others the same level of respect and happiness. I want to make sure that you and your animal are the number one priority and that you can feel comfortable leaving me with your pet!
“Zoe was prompt, communicative, respectful, and an all around great caretaker of our fur babies and our home - we definitely hope to get Zoe’s help again the next time we travel!”

“Gabriella went above and beyond to ensure our cat was cared for! She quickly and happily adapted to a change in our care plan from drop-in visits to house sitting when our cat started to feel unwell while we were away. We received great photos and communication throughout. We came home to a happy cat and our place was better than we left it! Thank you so much!”

Reagan is absolutely amazing! This was the longest trip we have taken away from Willow and we felt 100% comfortable the whole time. I’m not even sure if Willow missed us much because she loves Reagan so much! 😝 Reagan sent lots of photos and updates. She made us feel so comfortable and it’s clear Willow was very well taken care of.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Centerville on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,640 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Centerville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Centerville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Centerville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Centerville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Centerville. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
