“We would love for our golden to stay with Crowe and Taylor again! He came back to us happy and healthy. He seemed to have a blast with the other animals and we got frequent updates and pictures of him! Perfect experience all around.”

“This was our first experience with dog boarding and we couldn’t be happier. Cassi was a great communicator and provided all the info we needed. She sent pics and/or vids everyday which our kids looked forward to while traveling.”

“LINDSEY IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. It’s never easy to trust a stranger with your fur baby, especially when you know your pup better than anyone and know their different quirks, along with if they struggle with separation anxiety. First off, meeting Lindsey she is sooo sweet & has the most warm loving energy. I have strong intuition when it comes to people and can always tell whether or not something seems off, but as soon as she opened the door to meet & greet us, I knew that my dog Daisy would not only be completely safe, but especially LOVED. Lindsey was the best communicator, provided updates, cute pictures & it was honestly the first vacation we were able to relax knowing Daisy was having her own fun vacation absolutely loving Lindseys dog becoming instant best friends. The only negative thing I need to warn others about… is your dog will not want to leave once it’s time to go home with you after how much fun and happy their time has been there.😂❤️🫶😅❤️😍 10/10 ABSOLUTELY WILL BE BOOKING WITH HER FOR ALL OUR UPCOMING TRIPS. Best service and best family you can trust & count on to leave your fur babies with 🥹🙌👏”

“We couldn’t have asked for better sitters than Mitch and Tara! From the moment we dropped Skadi off, we knew she was in amazing hands. They loved her like she was their own, taking her on lots of walks, playing with her, and showering her with attention. They sent us so many sweet photos and videos, and in every single one she looked like her happy, playful self. It was such a relief to see her so comfortable, relaxed, and clearly having a blast while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing she was safe and loved. In fact, we’ve already booked her next stay with them for our upcoming trip because we know she’ll be just as happy the second time around. Mitch and Tara are absolutely amazing, and we’re so grateful for the way they cared for our girl!”

“Ashley was so great with my two dogs. She helped them calm down and get use to being away from home. The pictures each day were very appreciated. I had peace of mind knowing my dogs were well taken care of. Thanks so much!”

“Kylee was amazing with our little Daisy! It was my first time ever leaving her with someone other than family and she made me feel super comfortable. She responded right away and was super good about checking in. Will definitely be contacting her to watch our pup again!”

“Wally loves staying with Joel when we travel and we will continue to keep using him for daycare and dog sitting! He sends lots of pictures and keeps you updated throughout the stay. Thanks again Joel!”

“Tammy and Jeff are awesome! We got so many videos of our pup playing fetch (her all time favorite thing to do) - she was loved and spoiled! Highly recommend Tammy & Jeff to watch your fur baby.”

“Jason and Bridget did a wonderful job taking care of our dog! We received daily updates and pictures to keep us informed of how she was doing. They were very flexible and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Cassie and her family were so welcoming and loving for our German Shepherd, she had a great vacation and was definitely spoiled and cared for. Cassie sent us updates and photos during the whole stay and it was so comforting knowing our girl Harley was in good hands while we were away!”

We loved Brian and Ash! They took such good care of our girl and sent lots of pictures and updates which we appreciated. They were very knowledgeable about dogs and taking care of them.Their home is set up perfectly with a big fenced in backyard. Pretty sure our fur baby did not want to come home because she had such an amazing time! We’ve already recommended them to others and would use them again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Macie did a great job taking care of our sweet Lucky! She is super sweet & you can tell she loves animals! 💕🐾 We enjoyed the pics she sent & grateful she took Lucky on walks & brushed him! I wish I could share the pic of him grinning from ear to ear in their beautiful backyard. Macie was willing to take care of Lucky even with his special needs at the moment & it was a last minute ask. 😊 He came home soft, happy & healthy! Thanks so much for taking such great care of our sweet Lucky Blue!!! I highly recommend Macie & her family, they are Awesome!!! ✨💕🌈💕✨

Bailey is the best! We keep coming back because we know she takes good care of our dog Cookie while we are away. Our dog always jumps right out of the car and runs up to her. Cookie loves Bailey! She's great at communicating and awesome to send updates. Thanks for another great experience ❤️

Sandy is very personable and knowledgeable about dogs. Since our first meeting, she has provided info about how she cares for dogs, her own as well as others. Cooper liked Sandy & her home and yard right away. He was happy to leave with her and happy to come home. She was kind and understanding about the nervous peedles. Sandy sent videos showing Cooper having fun running, and playing with a dog she provides daycare for which I appreciated. I provided Cooper's food, but when he charmed her into giving a little more rice with carrots and green beans, she cooked more for him. Will definitely ask Sandy and Chris to take care of Cooper again.

Our absolute favorites. They love our dog like he is their own, and then some. We actually feel bad picking him back up every time because we know he is having so much fun and being so well cared for. They are always so patient, communicative, and kind. We always check with them first and can’t recommend enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
