“Susie was so sweet and attentive with Sunny. She took lots of pictures and videos to update us while we were away. I definitely know that Sunny was loved while we were gone! She had lots of positive socialization with the neighbor puppy too. The only downside was Sunny was pretty dirty when we came to pick her up. It had rained that weekend, so it is somewhat understandable. We would definitely recommend Susie for a safe and loving place for your pup!”

“Emily was wonderful! She made it very comfortable to leave our dog with her. We knew Stella would be well taken care of with her. If we are ever that way again we would definitely use Emily.”

“Jason and Bridget were awesome with our pups. This was our first time using rover, and leaving our pups with someone we didn’t know and we were rest assured everyday from multiple pictures, updates, and love throughout the day. They were so flexible with our inconveniently delayed and rescheduled flights and so easy going throughout the whole process. Highly recommend Jason and Bridget and will be using them again!”

“Pazely was wonderful! Very attentive to the needs of my dog. I felt like she really got to know him and gave my dog a great vacation while I was on vacation. She sent pictures and videos and communicated beautifully. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Brittany was so amazing and took such good care of Miya! Miya ended up being a little sick from something she ate at my house prior to me dropping her off. I hadn't realized it at the time, but Brittany informed me of her upset stomach and kept me updated the whole time and took such great care of her! I couldn't be more grateful. She was flexible, organized, and so loving to my dog. She also sent me the best pictures of Miya while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to care for any of your furr babies! ♥️”

“Heidi and her family took care of our dog Bucky for a week while we were out of town. She went above and beyond to make sure Bucky was safe and had a good time while he was there. We felt comfortable and confident leaving him with them for 5 days!”

“Aubrey was such a pleasure to work with. She took such good care of our kitten, she sent pictures, videos and daily updates. I will absolutely use her in the future. Nina”

“Casey was a great sitter. We felt much better about having our doggie with her and the attention her family gave while we were away for a week rather than a traditional boarding business. We were able to have an initial meeting to have her and her dogs meet our dog to establish a comfort zone; this was very professional and appreciated. Casey's communication was great throughout and even the drop-off went well with no drama; I'm guessing because we had that initial meeting and she wasn't a stranger at that point. The experience went great and I would feel more than comfortable utilizing Casey again for our pup if travel needs arise in the future.”

“I was very nervous about leaving my lab, Hank, with anyone. Ashley provided confidence that he would be fine and would do well. Ashley provided photos and messages each day which helped me not to worry. Hank was in great spirits when he got home, which had not been my experience when leaving him with a different dog sitter. I have a GPS tracker on Hank and he received more active time than normal so I know he had a good time playing during his stay and had plenty of exercise. I finally feel like I can leave Hank and know that he will be well taken care of, thank you, Ashley and family. I hope you will be available to watch Hank again for us. Thank you!”

“Julie was so great and patient with our buddy who wasn’t feeling his best and acted out at times when she had him. So greatful for her experience, patience, and time spent with our doggie.”

“Charlee was the perfect person to board our boys. She was super responsive during the set up and booking process, listened to everything about the dogs and made us feel so comfortable leaving them in her care. She provided plenty of photos and updates, played and walked them, and made sure they got everything needed for the weekend. We would recommend them to anyone!”

“Joel was great. I took my dog for a meet and greet at Joel's home, in order to see how my dog would react to Joel, his dog, and the other dogs in his care. After a successful first visit, we arranged for Phoebe to stay for a weekend while I was out of town. Joel sent pictures everyday and gave a mini updates. I felt that my dog was in good hands and she was happy and not traumatized when I returned. I have already booked future visits with Joel, and feel my dog is in good hands in his care.”

“Jessica is amazing! She watched our Frenchie puppy for a week on short notice after our other sitter cancelled. Her house is clean, puppy proof and she is so kind! From the second I met her, I could tell that she truly loves dogs and was going to take great care of our girl. She sent updates, photos and let us know how our girl was doing while we were gone. We came back to a very happy pup who had been loved. I would trust Jessica anytime with our girl! I highly recommend her!”
“Kimberly did a fantastic job! She went above and beyond to care for our pup including treating an ear infection, giving him lots of snuggles, and making him a new tag. He acted comfortable and right at home from the get go. Would love to have him with her family again!”

“James and Drax (his dog) were the best companions for my dog. Rollo stayed at their house for 11 days and he seemed so happy. My dog is very shy and takes him a while to adjust and open up to new people and dogs but James knew how to get him to trust him and felt comfortable. He was very good at giving us updates and sending pictures throughout. I’d definitely recommend James for your pups, no doubt I will leave my dog with them again.”

“Daisy really liked staying with Dashia. She was excited to see me when I picked her up but day after she has a bit sadness from missing her new dog friends and humans. Dashia was very accommodating with my flight situation and I appreciate her understanding. She did a great job with Daisy.”

“Really loved Krystal as a sitter! She was able to take my dog last minute on a holiday. She was great at responding to any messages I sent and she was awesome at giving detailed responses on how my dog was handling everything!”

Mitchell is an amazing dog sitter. He exceeded our expectations! We appreciate he only tends one dog at a time. We also like his safe, fully fenced back yard. Mitchell sent us daily photos and updates on our fur baby. Our dog takes medications and Mitchell had no issues in giving the meds to our dog. We had a human medical emergency while we were gone. Mitchell was very accommodating with our pick up time We will definitely will use Mitchell again!! If you are needing a dog sitter, we recommend Mitchell 100%

Amber took such amazing care of our 15-year-old dog, Hugo, while we were in Europe for two weeks. Leaving a senior dog for that long can be stressful, but Amber immediately put our minds at ease. She was incredibly patient, loving, and attentive to his needs, and it was clear she genuinely cared about him. Hugo is family to us, and knowing he was being treated with so much kindness allowed us to fully enjoy our trip. We came home to a happy, comfortable pup, and we are so grateful for the care and affection Amber showed him. It takes a special person to care for a senior dog with the patience and understanding they deserve, and Amber was exactly that person. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would trust her with Hugo again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Amber, for taking such wonderful care of our sweet old guy!

We got lots of pictures and updates throughout my pups' stay with Susie. When i picked them up, they didnt seem stressed, dirty/stinky, deprived of love and attention. Susie was very aware and cautious of my one dog's bee allergy. I definitely felt comfortable with her care of my pups

We are very happy that we chose Charlee C. for boarding our cat, Chaplin, for 2.5 weeks. Charlee and her partner provided exceptional care to Chaplin. He was kept safe and secure in a separate room, away from their dogs. They gave him lots of attention and affection. They followed our instructions for his care closely. We received daily detailed updates on how he was doing (even on his use of the litter box), which gave us peace of mind during our vacation. Chaplin was in very good shape when we picked him up. We will definitely use Charlee's services again if and when we need to board Chaplin again. I am confident that there is no better pet sitter around than Charlee C.
James was very accommodating, taking my dogs last minute. They got along so well with his Dalmatians, loving all the playtime and attention. I couldn’t have asked for a better scenario for my mini golden doodle pup and senior golden retriever. They came home relaxed. I can tell they were very well cared for. Loved the daily photos, grassy yard, companionship and expert care. Thanks James!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
