“Jarica and family took wonderful care to make our shy dog comfortable. Thankful for the peace of mind knowing that our dog had some play time while we attended an event. When in the area visiting friends in the future we will book with Jarica again. Loved the photos and the sight of our dog with little girls coming back from a walk!”

“Aneice was so helpful and sweet! She was really understanding and flexible with our changing plans. We got regular pictures of our girls and we always were comfortable knowing they were in great hands.”

“Jana was amazing! She took such good care of my rambunctious little golden doodle puppy while we were away. She went above and beyond by sending me videos and pictures throughout the day. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing my puppy was in great care. My little Harley came home happy and exhausted from all the play ❤️ I highly, highly recommend Jana!”

“Dianne was a wonderful sitter for our 8-month old pup Chili. Chili stayed with Dianne while my wife and I went skiing for two days. She had a great time and was very well cared for. We would absolutely book with Dianne again! Thank you :)”

“I have only had my dog for about a week and was really anxious about leaving him so soon after getting him. I poured over dozens of profiles and finally decided to go with Michael. I was not dissapointed at all! He was so nice and willing to work with me on scheduling and Jack was right at home immediately after meeting him and Ricky. With Ricky being a senior dog as well it was a perfect match. By the second time of Michael sitting Jack was completely at home. I loved the fact that Alex was just as passionate about animals as Michael was and after Jack being looked after Michael twice I will most assurdaly be using them again and again for dog sitting. I am so glad I chose Michael. Many many Thanks!!!”

About: Grew up training horses and caring for many animals including dogs, cats and rabbits to name a few. Each pet in my care will recieve some one on one time with me, and lots of cuddles and attention. I am a retired social worker, generally at home, I may leave for a few hours for errands then all pets are comfortable in kennels. I have 2 small dogs of my own, they are friendly, a fenced yard for play and exercise. Bring your own kennel and pet food. Pets are welcome on furniture but generally enjoy sitting on a pillow in my lap.
About: I grow up my whole life with dogs. My babysitter was 2 beautiful Doberman growing up. I know dogs can be different same as all of us people, but with the right care and treatment they can let you lead and show their love, respect, and be your best friend. I had many different dogs since they were puppies until it was time for them to go to heaven. And all of them I remember with so much love and gratitude. They’re the best creatures in this planet. And I will be more than pleased if you let me watch your pets because I know how important they are and they need the attention and love even in those situations that we won’t be home so if you’re going on vacation, small trip, etc. I will make sure your dog is being taking care, feed, had enough walks, and be comfortable being here at home ready for bed, and if they have any special care as medicine or something like that I’m more than happy to have them on track until you can come back from vacation. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns in case this small summary didn’t respond any of your questions. I’m working with a very flexible schedule. I can make anything to work around your dog needs or special care. Any drop of around 4-5PM any day of the week. Thank you. I do have currently 1 friendly golden doodle. She’s a girl and love to play and make friends. She love kids and other dogs as well. She will keep your fur babies happy and busy playing and taking naps together.
“Heidi is Great! She is always sending pictures and updates throughout their stay! The dogs love staying over there. My dogs are timid and Heidi is always aware and let’s them warm up to her house and her dogs. She has a nice spacious backyard where the dogs can play! The dogs always have a great time! I”

“I am so grateful to have found Nemesis! She was wonderful with my Frenchie Ava. Nemesis was so warm & inviting when we arrived to her house. Her dogs did not bark once! They showed such loving, sweet & exciting vibes when meeting my dog. Her dogs love meeting new dogs & people. They made Ava and I feel so welcome. We all felt right at home. My dog is usually a little nervous or shaky when going to a new house, but not at all at her home. My Frenchie was very well looked after. Nemesis sent great updates and photos/videos throughout the day. She followed all my feeding instructions as well. I would highly recommend Nemesis for doggy daycare, boarding, and playtime. I'll be boarding my Frenchie with her in the Fall, and scheduling doggy daycare ongoing as needed. Thank you Nemesis! So glad we found you!”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs since day one. As I got older I joined a local rescue as a pet foster parent and eventually rescued a few of my own outside of the rescue. I have had many types breeds of dogs in my care and have also watched ferrets, guinea pigs, goats, and cats. I have experience from newborn puppies/kittens/ chicks to senior care. I went through multiple puppy training classes with both my Dane and Shorthair. I am a stay at home human/pet mom so I have a very open schedule. I am able to watch pets in my home or drop in. I am typically always home. My backdoor opens into a 6 foot fenced, fully gated, dog run. They have 24/7 access to this, unless it's raining. We then have the "big back yard" or 1/4 acers, which has no shade and a chicken coop. So, I have to be a with them and it can'tbe blistering hot, that we work our some energy. We love outdoor time, so as long as the weather cooperates we are outside! When inside they are able to roam as they please, sit on the couch, sleep on the bed and get all the pets. I only use a crate if that is what they are used to.
“Our dog had a great time with Jessica! He seemed to have a great day and was happy and tired when we picked him up. She helped answer our questions/concerns, and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. Definitely will book again in the future!”

About: I have been caring for animals most of my life! I've cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens and even falcons! My favorite is caring for dogs. I grew up with my dog, Porky, our family Terrier. As I raised my own family, our dog, Lady, became a significant part of my children's lives. Now I often care for my children's pets, and that is where the cats, chickens, goats and falcons come in. I love them all! Occasionally I care for my children's pets; however, I don't have pets of my own. I am typically home most of the day, and if I do go out, it's only for a few hours. Please check my schedule for openings. I have a fenced in side-yard for dogs to run and play. I prefer to not walk large dogs but am happy to take them for a ride in my van. Pets are welcome on the furniture. I am open to feeding and care as suggested by my clients. I have a dog bed ready and waiting.
“This was our first time leaving our puppy and we were really nervous about it. But Ashley made us feel comfortable and at ease from the get go. Our little guy seemed completely calm and worn out from a fun day when we picked him up. Would definitely use Ashley again.”

Jarica and family took wonderful care to make our shy dog comfortable. Thankful for the peace of mind knowing that our dog had some play time while we attended an event. When in the area visiting friends in the future we will book with Jarica again. Loved the photos and the sight of our dog with little girls coming back from a walk!

Jana's love of animals really shines through! She was so patient & kind in getting to know my Frenchie named Ava, and astutely observed Ava's nervousness meeting a new sitter. She sent some great pictures of her dog Olive playing with Ava, and one cute pic of Ava chilling out. Jana provided Ava with her probiotic on time, and put all her treats back in her treat bag after they spilled out. Jana is a great sitter who I trust will give Ava everything she needs. I look forward to bringing Ava in the future.

Michael saved the day when I needed daycare last minute. He was responsive and so kind in our communication. When I dropped off my dog in the morning, I knew she was in great hands with Michael and his cute schnauzer Oliver. I received some happy updates as well. I will definitely be booking with Michael in the future and recommend him without hesitation.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
