Jana is awesome. My dog Cessy felt right at home. I didn't worry about her at all! Jana sent me pics throughout the day too, so cute. Cessy came home both times very content. I will definitely be taking Cessy back to Jana.

Ashley was amazing with my little Penny! She let her outside every hour, and always kept her busy. She sent me pictures all day, and her dog Blue was so sweet for my pup to play with! Her kids were absolutely adorable and loved playing with Penny! Will definitely go back!

I am so grateful to have found Nemesis! She was wonderful with my Frenchie Ava. Nemesis was so warm & inviting when we arrived to her house. Her dogs did not bark once! They showed such loving, sweet & exciting vibes when meeting my dog. Her dogs love meeting new dogs & people. They made Ava and I feel so welcome. We all felt right at home. My dog is usually a little nervous or shaky when going to a new house, but not at all at her home. My Frenchie was very well looked after. Nemesis sent great updates and photos/videos throughout the day. She followed all my feeding instructions as well. I would highly recommend Nemesis for doggy daycare, boarding, and playtime. I'll be boarding my Frenchie with her in the Fall, and scheduling doggy daycare ongoing as needed. Thank you Nemesis! So glad we found you!

Jarica and family took wonderful care to make our shy dog comfortable. Thankful for the peace of mind knowing that our dog had some play time while we attended an event. When in the area visiting friends in the future we will book with Jarica again. Loved the photos and the sight of our dog with little girls coming back from a walk!

About: I grew up with cats and dogs since day one. As I got older I joined a local rescue as a pet foster parent and eventually rescued a few of my own outside of the rescue. I have had many types breeds of dogs in my care and have also watched ferrets, guinea pigs, goats, and cats. I have experience from newborn puppies/kittens/ chicks to senior care. I went through multiple puppy training classes with both my Dane and Shorthair. I am a stay at home human/pet mom so I have a very open schedule. I am able to watch pets in my home or drop in. I am typically always home. My backdoor opens into a 6 foot fenced, fully gated, dog run. They have 24/7 access to this, unless it's raining. We then have the "big back yard" or 1/4 acers, which has no shade and a chicken coop. So, I have to be a with them and it can'tbe blistering hot, that we work our some energy. We love outdoor time, so as long as the weather cooperates we are outside! When inside they are able to roam as they please, sit on the couch, sleep on the bed and get all the pets. I only use a crate if that is what they are used to.

Connie is such a sweetheart who took such great care of my sweet little boy. He’s lived a life and can be nervous in new places, but her sweet self and her fun little pup Patty helped Toby settle right in and enjoy a fun filled day! I’m excited to rebook with Connie to help my little guy get more comfortable in our new town!!

About: I have been caring for animals most of my life! I've cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens and even falcons! My favorite is caring for dogs. I grew up with my dog, Porky, our family Terrier. As I raised my own family, our dog, Lady, became a significant part of my children's lives. Now I often care for my children's pets, and that is where the cats, chickens, goats and falcons come in. I love them all! Occasionally I care for my children's pets; however, I don't have pets of my own. I am typically home most of the day, and if I do go out, it's only for a few hours. Please check my schedule for openings. I have a fenced in side-yard for dogs to run and play. I prefer to not walk large dogs but am happy to take them for a ride in my van. Pets are welcome on the furniture. I am open to feeding and care as suggested by my clients. I have a dog bed ready and waiting.

I have only had my dog for about a week and was really anxious about leaving him so soon after getting him. I poured over dozens of profiles and finally decided to go with Michael. I was not dissapointed at all! He was so nice and willing to work with me on scheduling and Jack was right at home immediately after meeting him and Ricky. With Ricky being a senior dog as well it was a perfect match. By the second time of Michael sitting Jack was completely at home. I loved the fact that Alex was just as passionate about animals as Michael was and after Jack being looked after Michael twice I will most assurdaly be using them again and again for dog sitting. I am so glad I chose Michael. Many many Thanks!!!

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals, and that’s shaped me into someone who shows up for them especially the ones who can’t advocate for themselves. Over the years I’ve helped stray cats, done dog runs for rescues, participated in pulling dogs from kill shelters, and volunteered at local organizations where I take neglected or anxious dogs out for walks and hikes to help them decompress. Caring for animals isn’t a hobby for me; it’s something I’ve always felt responsible for. What sets me apart from other sitters is the combination of hands-on experience, patience, and calm confidence with animals of all backgrounds. I’m comfortable with puppies who need structure, senior pets who require a gentler approach, and animals who come with trauma or nervous behaviors. I pay attention to body language, adjust my pace to each pet’s comfort level, and make sure they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Your pet won’t just be looked after, they’ll be treated with the same compassion and commitment I bring to every animal I’ve ever helped. Caring for others is already at the center of my life. I work full time taking care of my three little kids, and I build my days around making sure my kids and animals get the attention, structure, and care they need. When I’m looking after an animal, they’re fully integrated into that routine, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, quiet time, or any special instructions you have. I have a genuine passion for helping those who need a little extra support, so I’m used to adjusting my schedule to meet each animal where they are. Whatever your pet requires, I make sure it fits smoothly into the flow of my day so they feel safe, cared for, and part of the family while they’re with me. When I care for pets in my home, they have plenty of space and stimulation throughout the day. I have a large fenced yard where they can run, play, and explore safely. There are always toys and treats available, and my two friendly dogs provide great company for any visiting pup. My three kids also love helping out and make sure your fur child gets lots of attention. I focus on maintaining a safe, comfortable, and structured environment that helps each pet feel at ease. I will follow your instructions closely feeding schedules, routines, quirks, and any special needs so your pet’s routine stays consistent.

Jana's love of animals really shines through! She was so patient & kind in getting to know my Frenchie named Ava, and astutely observed Ava's nervousness meeting a new sitter. She sent some great pictures of her dog Olive playing with Ava, and one cute pic of Ava chilling out. Jana provided Ava with her probiotic on time, and put all her treats back in her treat bag after they spilled out. Jana is a great sitter who I trust will give Ava everything she needs. I look forward to bringing Ava in the future.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Washington Terrace

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Washington Terrace on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 894 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Washington Terrace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Washington Terrace commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 894 sitters in Washington Terrace, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
