“Dashing took extremely great care of our Lou! Five stars, we will be booking with her again! It was very comforting to know our pup was in such great hands and allowed us to enjoy our vacation!”

“Kelsea, and her adorable family took excellent care of our high energy, super vocal, Coton de Tuléar. Her cute cute gave him lots of exercise and attention. I hope so! I think he misses their family! He definitely doesn't get played with as much at our home. We definately hope Kelsea will be willing to watch him again sometime!”

“Jessica was great. She sent pics and communicated with us at least once a day, but more on several of days we were gone. We had no worries or concerns with how she took care of our Bailey girl!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets since I was about 10 years old. I love animals and I will certainly make sure your pet is well cared for and in good hands. I am currently out of school for the summer and looking to make some money to enjoy my time off. I am available for boarding on the weekends and weekdays at any time. I have a fenced yard at my house and zero pets. Which will ensure your pet gets the best love, care, and attention as possible.
“Kimberly was really great with Sampson. It was his first time staying with someone that wasn't family. The pictures she sent were wonderful. I will use Kimberly for any future stays Sampson may need.”

“Becca did a great job communicating both before and during Baxter’s stay. She went above and beyond to keep me updated and ease my worries over leaving him for the first time. Highly recommended, would use again.”

“Elise did such a good job with my puppy! Our cute little furball came home happy and very well loved. Not only did her kids give her lots of attention (which is just like home), but our puppy got lots of interaction with their dog too, which was really helpful for her socializing. We knew she was in good hands! And as an added perk, Elise even sent a picture and video of our puppy playing in the snow. Too cute! Thank you, Elise! We will definitely be returning!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs around since I was a very little girl, I’ve experienced having small dogs, Medium-sized, and Large Dogs. My Mom bred Maltese so I got to constantly play with many adorable puppies and help bathe them too. My husband, has had about 8 years of experience with animals. He helped me with raising 10 puppies, a litter from our own dog Tyndale. Our whole family absolutely loves dogs! We’d love to meet and play with your puppy too! I am currently working from home, taking care of my family and pets, so I have plenty of time to take care of and play with your puppy. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog named Tyndale, she loves to play and would be happy to help keep your Doggie company.
“Wonderful experience. Mitchell was really flexible with us and took great care of our GSD. He has a beautiful yard and a friendly dog of his own . I feel a new freedom knowing I can leave my dog in a home environment instead of a kennel.”

About: Grew up training horses and caring for many animals including dogs, cats and rabbits to name a few. Each pet in my care will recieve some one on one time with me, and lots of cuddles and attention. I am a retired social worker, generally at home, I may leave for a few hours for errands then all pets are comfortable in kennels. I have 2 small dogs of my own, they are friendly, a fenced yard for play and exercise. Bring your own kennel and pet food. Pets are welcome on furniture but generally enjoy sitting on a pillow in my lap.
“Allison and Sloan did so good taking care of our puppy! We were gone for almost 3 weeks and they treated our dog as their own! They sent tons of photos and took him on walks and hikes. We felt like our puppy was taken care of above and beyond! We would definitely have them watch our puppy again when we leave town!”

“First time using Cody and Rover. I usually do not leave reviews but felt I had to. Dropped my Luna off and she immediately took to introduce herself to Cody's dogs. They all got along great, played and had such a great time. I was sent picture and video of Luna playing and having fun. She looked so worn out from having too much fun...lol. they took such good care of Luna, like she was there own. I have another booking with them and all my concerns are gone now that I got to see how much fun she had and how they took such good care of her. So much better than putting her in a kennel for boarding. I will be using Cody and his wife as long as they are available. Thank you for taking good care of my baby while I am gone.”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Angelia took amazing care of Piper and kept me at ease the whole time. I’m so grateful for her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend her!”

“Joel did an awesome job working around my schedule. I scheduled a day off and he was very understanding. He did so good with my energetic dog and gave me pointers on how to get him to walk on a leash better. Thank you Joel for all the pictures and videos. I would recommend anyone to Joel.”

“First time having Kara watch our dog and after an awesome experience I will not hesitate to do so again. She communicated well through photos and videos, our dog was well entertained, nice and tired coming home, and enjoyed the 8 day stay. Your dog is in good care.”

We got lots of pictures and updates throughout my pups' stay with Susie. When i picked them up, they didnt seem stressed, dirty/stinky, deprived of love and attention. Susie was very aware and cautious of my one dog's bee allergy. I definitely felt comfortable with her care of my pups

Sandy is very personable and knowledgeable about dogs. Since our first meeting, she has provided info about how she cares for dogs, her own as well as others. Cooper liked Sandy & her home and yard right away. He was happy to leave with her and happy to come home. She was kind and understanding about the nervous peedles. Sandy sent videos showing Cooper having fun running, and playing with a dog she provides daycare for which I appreciated. I provided Cooper's food, but when he charmed her into giving a little more rice with carrots and green beans, she cooked more for him. Will definitely ask Sandy and Chris to take care of Cooper again.

Chaylee was wonderful. This was our first time ever boarding or having someone watch our dog that wasn’t a family member. She was extremely kind, very responsive, sent many photos that honestly helped with the anxious feeling of our Ghost being in a new place. It was very much a new happy place. Truly she deeply cares for pets and is just a kind and sweet soul. Thank you very much

Liz was amazing at taking care of our dog while we were on vacation over the 4th of July. Our dog is very nervous of fireworks but she and her family helped accommodate him to not be so anxious. Auggie seemed to fit right in with their family and was well taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
