“Laura saved us last minute when our previous Rover booking fell through! She was so kind & accommodating to our dogs. They were so comfortable at her home & we got pics to prove it!”

“Becca was super great with our dog and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. I loved that our dog was in a loving home, not a big facility where she'd be stuck in a cage most of the day. Becca sent me daily updates and photos of our dog and I knew she was well cared for and was happy while there. Communication was easy and I'm happy I chose Becca to watch her while we were away.”

“Jana, along with her husband and son did an awesome job with our lil Gracie. At first we were hesitant because we had never done anything like this, but after our Meet n greet we felt alot better about it. She sent pictures to us that showed Gracie playing and hanging out with her 3 lil dogs!! Gracie is a Lil 4 yearold Yorkie, and Jana has 3 dogs of her own, two of the Yorkies as well so that was a bonus !! We feel like we now have a second family, and whenever we leave town for a few days, Gracie is for sure going to return to her "New Friends" house for a sleepover !! Thanks Jana !!”

“Chris and her family are the most loving and caring people. We have absolute total peace of mind when we leave our little pup with her. She’s always incredibly easy to communicate with and sends the sweetest updates. We hope she never stops watching, she’s our person without a doubt. Thank you Chris🩷”

“I deeply appreciate Jackie and her family taking Lucky in for a couple of nights. I'm particularly happy with her routine texts to let us know how he was doing, interacting and all, and I was very glad they were able to accommodate his medication routine, as well.”

“We couldn’t have asked for better sitters than Mitch and Tara! From the moment we dropped Skadi off, we knew she was in amazing hands. They loved her like she was their own, taking her on lots of walks, playing with her, and showering her with attention. They sent us so many sweet photos and videos, and in every single one she looked like her happy, playful self. It was such a relief to see her so comfortable, relaxed, and clearly having a blast while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing she was safe and loved. In fact, we’ve already booked her next stay with them for our upcoming trip because we know she’ll be just as happy the second time around. Mitch and Tara are absolutely amazing, and we’re so grateful for the way they cared for our girl!”

“Our pup Maisy was very well taken care of and when we had to add an extra day on short notice Cara worked with us. Super stoked with the whole process and will happily work with Cara again.”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Angelia took amazing care of Piper and kept me at ease the whole time. I’m so grateful for her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend her!”

“Chandra was great with my dogs and accommodating to my schedule. My dogs typically get nervous when I have to leave them. They seemed to really enjoy their stay. I would definitely leave them with Chandra again.”

“Porter really had a great time plus was comfortable for his first stay away from home or me. Thank you Pazely for the photos and videos to calm my concerns. Porter will be back!”

“Marina did an excellent job on taking care of Harley. She went beyond what I expected. Took Harley out for walks, and even took Harley to her favorite dog park. Keept me updated and sent pictures. I highly recommend Marina.”

“Tammy and Jeffery were amazing to take care of Coco. She came home exhausted because she had such a great time and played a ton. I got tons of pictures and videos of Coco while we were away. I highly recommend them for anyone. I will definitely be using them again to take care of our precious dog. Thank you Tammy and Jeffery.”

“Kylee was amazing with our little Daisy! It was my first time ever leaving her with someone other than family and she made me feel super comfortable. She responded right away and was super good about checking in. Will definitely be contacting her to watch our pup again!”

“Oh my goodness I couldn’t leave a happier review! Nemesis was absolutely amazing with our puppy Dune!! We received lots of updates throughout the stay along with pictures and videos. Her dogs also loved to play with Dune which he enjoyed! She took him on adventures and gave him lots of love, we would definitely use her again in the future!!”

“Kayla took our Boon on short notice over the holidays, after another provider cancelled due to an emergency. So responsive and accommodating!! Boon came home happy and healthy! We loved getting pictures and seeing he was well taken care of.”

This is the second time I have used Rebecca to watch my Archie, and she was incredible once again. She provided outstanding care, keeping me updated with regular photos and messages so I never had to worry. Rebecca genuinely loves animals and treats Archie like one of her own. He came home happy, healthy, and completely relaxed. I highly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and loving pet sitter!

Henry had the time of his life over at Kara's with her pups! Kara was wonderful! We met her and her dogs before leaving him with her and she was so sweet and so kind and made me feel very comfortable leaving him with her. I appreciated the care and love she gave Henry while we were gone. She even picked him up and brought him home from our house because of early and late flights. We will definitely be using Kara in the future!!

100% recommended! I can tell Brooklyn really loves dogs. Our golden retriever Nube came home so happy after spending six days at her care. It is hard for all dog lovers to leave their pup when traveling, however we could instantly feel a good vibe at Brooklyn’s home and with her dog Sully. We left to our vacations with peace of mind. Brooklyn sent us pictures with updates. Communication was awesome. I will definitely use Brooklyn next time.

Baylee was awesome! She was super easy to communicate with, and our dog Jude had the best time. He loved playing in her fenced yard and got along great with her dog. We felt so good knowing he was in such great hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Baylee again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
