“Laura was amazing. She took great care of my lab for the weekend. She was so easy to work with, followed all of my instructions, and gave great updates. I would definitely use Laura again.”

“Ashley was so great with my two dogs. She helped them calm down and get use to being away from home. The pictures each day were very appreciated. I had peace of mind knowing my dogs were well taken care of. Thanks so much!”

“Sandy, Chris and kids were just awesome with our little Coco. She was loved and cared for as if she was theirs. She came back to us exhausted, she played so much. Thank you ALL for taking such great care of Coco. Truly recommend them to anyone needing a home away from home for their fur baby!!”

“Jessica took such good care of our sweet puppy. It was our first time going somewhere without her (she’s only 6-months old) and we were on vacation during the 4th of July holiday. Jessica went above and beyond to comfort and care for our girl, even amidst all the stress that fireworks bring with dogs. We will definitely use Jessica again next time we need pet services. ?”

“Once again, our pup had a great time with Hailee. She takes such good care of our fur baby! Reasonably priced. Safe environment. Loving care giver. Great communication. I could not ask for more.”

“Ashlee was amazing! Received daily updates while our pups stayed with her and her family. Highly recommend, I’m so glad she was available to take our dogs. They went out of their way to make our girls feel at home, and taken care of. They were also sad to leave and whined the whole way home! 🤣”

“Becca and her family are amazing! They took our dog last minute and loved her like their own, she was so accommodating and our dog was comfortable the second she walked in!! So grateful to have found Becca- we now have a consistent sitter that our dog loves to go to!!”

“Cody and Tia were great! Super responsive and sent me photos and videos throughout the day so I knew my pup was being well taken care of. He came home tired and happy and I will definitely be using them for any future dog sitting needs.”

“Chris and her family are the most loving and caring people. We have absolute total peace of mind when we leave our little pup with her. She’s always incredibly easy to communicate with and sends the sweetest updates. We hope she never stops watching, she’s our person without a doubt. Thank you Chris🩷”

“First time having Kara watch our dog and after an awesome experience I will not hesitate to do so again. She communicated well through photos and videos, our dog was well entertained, nice and tired coming home, and enjoyed the 8 day stay. Your dog is in good care.”

“They accommodated my dog last minute for the second time. I’m so grateful that they’re flexible and professional 💕 i love using them as a dog sitter. My dog always comes home safe and happy.”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Angelia took amazing care of Piper and kept me at ease the whole time. I’m so grateful for her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend her!”

“Kayla took our Boon on short notice over the holidays, after another provider cancelled due to an emergency. So responsive and accommodating!! Boon came home happy and healthy! We loved getting pictures and seeing he was well taken care of.”

“We couldn’t have asked for better sitters than Mitch and Tara! From the moment we dropped Skadi off, we knew she was in amazing hands. They loved her like she was their own, taking her on lots of walks, playing with her, and showering her with attention. They sent us so many sweet photos and videos, and in every single one she looked like her happy, playful self. It was such a relief to see her so comfortable, relaxed, and clearly having a blast while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing she was safe and loved. In fact, we’ve already booked her next stay with them for our upcoming trip because we know she’ll be just as happy the second time around. Mitch and Tara are absolutely amazing, and we’re so grateful for the way they cared for our girl!”

“LINDSEY IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. It’s never easy to trust a stranger with your fur baby, especially when you know your pup better than anyone and know their different quirks, along with if they struggle with separation anxiety. First off, meeting Lindsey she is sooo sweet & has the most warm loving energy. I have strong intuition when it comes to people and can always tell whether or not something seems off, but as soon as she opened the door to meet & greet us, I knew that my dog Daisy would not only be completely safe, but especially LOVED. Lindsey was the best communicator, provided updates, cute pictures & it was honestly the first vacation we were able to relax knowing Daisy was having her own fun vacation absolutely loving Lindseys dog becoming instant best friends. The only negative thing I need to warn others about… is your dog will not want to leave once it’s time to go home with you after how much fun and happy their time has been there.😂❤️🫶😅❤️😍 10/10 ABSOLUTELY WILL BE BOOKING WITH HER FOR ALL OUR UPCOMING TRIPS. Best service and best family you can trust & count on to leave your fur babies with 🥹🙌👏”

“Louie was in great hands!! I’m very appreciative to the services I received. Aneice sent pics daily and kept me updated on how my dog was doing each day! I’d recommend her to anyone looking for dog care.”

“Marina did an excellent job on taking care of Harley. She went beyond what I expected. Took Harley out for walks, and even took Harley to her favorite dog park. Keept me updated and sent pictures. I highly recommend Marina.”

Elise was absolutely wonderful with our dog! She was very communicative throughout the entire stay and sent us lots of pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was also incredibly understanding and flexible when our flight was delayed, which we really appreciated. It was clear that our dog was well cared for and loved while in her care. We highly recommend Elise and will definitely be booking with her again!

Henry had the time of his life over at Kara's with her pups! Kara was wonderful! We met her and her dogs before leaving him with her and she was so sweet and so kind and made me feel very comfortable leaving him with her. I appreciated the care and love she gave Henry while we were gone. She even picked him up and brought him home from our house because of early and late flights. We will definitely be using Kara in the future!!

100% recommended! I can tell Brooklyn really loves dogs. Our golden retriever Nube came home so happy after spending six days at her care. It is hard for all dog lovers to leave their pup when traveling, however we could instantly feel a good vibe at Brooklyn’s home and with her dog Sully. We left to our vacations with peace of mind. Brooklyn sent us pictures with updates. Communication was awesome. I will definitely use Brooklyn next time.

Baylee was awesome! She was super easy to communicate with, and our dog Jude had the best time. He loved playing in her fenced yard and got along great with her dog. We felt so good knowing he was in such great hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Baylee again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
