“Lauren was great with our 2 dogs. She was very quick to reply to my initial message about availability, and was super responsive the entire trip. She watched our dogs close to the 4th of July and they don't do super great with fireworks, but it seemed like Lauren would take care of them as her own while we were gone, and that was definitely the case. I know our dogs were cared for, and wouldn't hesitate to book with her again.”

“Chris, and her family, were amazing with Harley. He was so well taken care of and loved in their home. I have already booked Harley's next stay. I have no hesitation in highly recommending them.”

“Exceptional Care by McKenzie and Her Husband for Our Furry Family Members Our experience with McKenzie and her husband as pet sitters for our two dogs, Luke the Labrador Retriever and Minnie the Goldendoodle, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we met them, it was clear that they are truly animal lovers who treat every pet like their own. Their warmth and professionalism shone through immediately, putting us at ease about leaving our beloved dogs in their care. They were attentive to our dogs’ routines and specific needs, ensuring that Luke and Minnie were not only well-fed and exercised but also showered with affection. Communication was seamless, with regular updates and adorable photos that brightened our days and reassured us that our dogs were having as good a time as we were. Their home was welcoming and safe, a perfect environment for our dogs to relax and play in. McKenzie and her husband went above and beyond to accommodate our schedules and any special requests we had, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. It was evident when we returned that Luke and Minnie had been spoiled with love and attention, as they were absolutely content and in great spirits. We wholeheartedly recommend McKenzie and her husband to any pet owner seeking a compassionate, responsible, and genuinely caring sitter. They have earned our complete trust, and we look forward to booking them again in the future. Our dogs have found a second home with them, and we couldn't be happier!”

“Aubrey was such a pleasure to work with. She took such good care of our kitten, she sent pictures, videos and daily updates. I will absolutely use her in the future. Nina”

“Ashley was so great with my two dogs. She helped them calm down and get use to being away from home. The pictures each day were very appreciated. I had peace of mind knowing my dogs were well taken care of. Thanks so much!”

About: Grew up training horses and caring for many animals including dogs, cats and rabbits to name a few. Each pet in my care will recieve some one on one time with me, and lots of cuddles and attention. I am a retired social worker, generally at home, I may leave for a few hours for errands then all pets are comfortable in kennels. I have 2 small dogs of my own, they are friendly, a fenced yard for play and exercise. Bring your own kennel and pet food. Pets are welcome on furniture but generally enjoy sitting on a pillow in my lap.
“Lana was amazing ❤️ Lana took care of our puppy like it was her very own. It was so nice to have the peace of mind that our dog was in safe hands while we were gone!! I'm so grateful for her and her willingness to share her home with our puppy! Thanks Lana you're amazing ❤️?”

“Wonderful experience. Mitchell was really flexible with us and took great care of our GSD. He has a beautiful yard and a friendly dog of his own . I feel a new freedom knowing I can leave my dog in a home environment instead of a kennel.”

“Julie was incredibly kind and took great care of our pups! My dogs like napping on the couch and we loved that they would make themselves cozy just like at home! Her home and yard were very clean, which my husband and I really appreciate:)”

“Everything was perfect, including great communication. My dog has a special diet and also requires medication, which was a non-issue for Kyla. Her dogs and children are so sweet. My dog loved his stay and seemed to have a great time! Thanks again!”

“Porter really had a great time plus was comfortable for his first stay away from home or me. Thank you Pazely for the photos and videos to calm my concerns. Porter will be back!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs around since I was a very little girl, I’ve experienced having small dogs, Medium-sized, and Large Dogs. My Mom bred Maltese so I got to constantly play with many adorable puppies and help bathe them too. My husband, has had about 8 years of experience with animals. He helped me with raising 10 puppies, a litter from our own dog Tyndale. Our whole family absolutely loves dogs! We’d love to meet and play with your puppy too! I am currently working from home, taking care of my family and pets, so I have plenty of time to take care of and play with your puppy. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog named Tyndale, she loves to play and would be happy to help keep your Doggie company.
“Kelsea, and her adorable family took excellent care of our high energy, super vocal, Coton de Tuléar. Her cute cute gave him lots of exercise and attention. I hope so! I think he misses their family! He definitely doesn't get played with as much at our home. We definately hope Kelsea will be willing to watch him again sometime!”

“Kimberly did a fantastic job! She went above and beyond to care for our pup including treating an ear infection, giving him lots of snuggles, and making him a new tag. He acted comfortable and right at home from the get go. Would love to have him with her family again!”

“Antoinette took such great care of our dog during a weekend that we left town. Would definitely recommend her to anyone on rover. She sent lots of photos of our dog, and we felt like she was in really good hands👍”

“Jason was fantastic! He was such a great communicator. He sent me updates daily and even asked how he could get my dog to eat better. We will definitely be using him again.”

About: I have been watching animals for 16 years and have been surrounded by them my whole life. My husband and I have two dogs and two cats. We have trained our dogs ourselves. We have a fenced in back yard and lots of toys and mentally stimulating activities for dogs of all shapes and sizes! I don’t love when animals are lonely and locked in cages all day - so I want to help you as best as I can! I work from home off eastern time with occasional work trips. I’m pretty flexible during the week and can move my schedule around to accommodate you! I have a fenced in yard with two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. We also have two cats but they tend to hide when there’s a lot of commotion. I can crate your fur baby at your request! I am all for open and honest communication and would love to send you updates through the day!

Margaret was incredibly organized. We were able to meet with her prior to our dog's stay. She took notes on all the needs our dog had, including his chicken allergy. When we dropped him off, it was clear she had reviewed her notes and was ready to give him the attention and love he needed. She sent us pictures of him while we were gone. Her communication skills were excellent and she was flexible with our drop off and pick up times.

Jess was an amazing sitter for us this week! It’s always nice to know your pup is in good hands when you’re away. Dot was well cared for, had a blast with the other dogs, and we received photos/updates daily which was so fun to see. She came home happy and healthy (and a little tuckered out from all the adventures). Jess is super accommodating and the communication was fantastic. We would recommend to anyone!

Becca was absolutely wonderful! We had 2 meet and greets for dogs to acclimate to each other. She is very good reading dog’s body language. She was able to keep things in control and let the dogs get adjusted. Becca is also very accommodating. We had to cancel due to an urgent matter and she worked with us until we could move forward and set a date for our trip. She was wonderful with our dog. She loves animals and she loved Cash and his sweet personality traits. Cash needs a little extra care and work and she was very willing and happy to accommodate everything I asked. I will definitely use Becca again. She is a great find!
I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. We lucked out when we found him several years ago. He has been our consistent pet sitter for going on four years now and it’s so upsetting that we’re moving because I fully trust my pets in his care. He truly cares about the animals he watches and I know my animals are in the best hands

Morgan was amazing! She was easy to communicate with and took the best care of my golden doodle! She sent pictures regularly and made me feel comfortable at please while our family was away! We were all able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was being well cared for and entertained while we were away! Highly recommend!

Chaylee was wonderful. This was our first time ever boarding or having someone watch our dog that wasn’t a family member. She was extremely kind, very responsive, sent many photos that honestly helped with the anxious feeling of our Ghost being in a new place. It was very much a new happy place. Truly she deeply cares for pets and is just a kind and sweet soul. Thank you very much

Liz was amazing at taking care of our dog while we were on vacation over the 4th of July. Our dog is very nervous of fireworks but she and her family helped accommodate him to not be so anxious. Auggie seemed to fit right in with their family and was well taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
