“Ben is great!! My dog is a rescue and can be a bit skittish around strangers especially men, but Jethro isn’t scared seems to really like Ben and enjoys his visits with him. Ben has been walking and playing with my dog during visits and really trying to get to know my dog. I appreciate everything he has done and will continue booking him for weekly visits. Ben is definitely five stars!!”

“Elise is awesome! She came in with very little notice to help us and did a wonderful job with a high maintenance German shepherd. We are so grateful to have her watch/walk our doggo. Timely, professional and a tired/happy dog.”

About: HELLO! I have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs, all wonderfully cared for!! My passion is animals and I am working towards a career in veterinary medicine and research! I may be young but I have worked for a dog walking/ sitting business before (in Williamsburg, VA) for around 2 years. I have had years and years of experience with my own pets and helping out with others!! I am currently away from my home in Ogden (living on campus) and I would love to continue to make an impact in animal lives! (Don’t worry my fur babies are being cared for by my lovely parents while i’m away). I will always prioritize your pets comfort and happiness and am great with flexible schedules and spontaneous events! If you need to cancel or you need an on demand pet-sitter, i’m your girl! I go home each weekend on friday and stay through Sunday morning to visit my family and my pets! When i’m home, I am mostly on-duty for my animals. I always put them first and then when they’re ready to nap I can do schoolwork! I have no problem getting down and dirty with cleaning up messes as cleaning is another thing i enjoy! While i’m here, pet care fits in for me in between my classes and in the evenings! I’m pretty flexible with my schedule! I will provide walks, play time, feeding, treats, and clean up!! My favorite thing is a happy animal, so I will work hard to ensure this happens!
About: I have experience with small puppies (2 months old) and older dogs, and I am super comfortable with big dogs, but I also love smaller dogs! I currently am a full-time student, so pet care is ideal for me as I have plenty of time to spend with the dog(s), but can also still get my assignments done! I am comfortable leashing dogs and walking them in safe areas, I have experience with reactive and anxious dogs, and am more than willing to do whatever eases the owner’s mind!
“Paige is everything that I was hoping to find in a dog walker! My pup loved her immediately. She is very reliable, easy going, and communicative. So glad to have found her. Highly recommended.”

“Kady was so sweet and kind to Russ. I can tell that he absolutely adored her. She was very professional and flexible with the changes I wanted to make. Will def book a walk with her again.”

About: With over 7 years of experience and a lifelong love of animals, I bring genuine care and connection to every pet I look after. Having had a dog of my own, I understand the trust involved in leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, and reactive dogs. I’ve completed dog training with my own puppy and regularly reinforce basic commands during walks to encourage structure and positive behavior. For senior pets, I am comfortable managing dietary needs, mobility limitations, and medication routines, always adapting my care to each dog’s individual needs and energy level. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine and personality to ensure a calm and stress-free experience. I keep pet parents updated with photos and check-ins, so you always feel connected and reassured. My goal is simple: reliable, attentive care you can trust every time. Pet care is a consistent part of my weekly routine, and I structure my day to provide reliable, attentive care throughout the day. Monday – Friday: Morning walks: 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM Midday drop-in visits: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Afternoon walks: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Evenings & Overnight: Overnight pet sitting available for continued care, comfort, and companionship. From pavement temperature checks to carrying emergency supplies, your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities—whether on walks or during in-home care. Before each walk, I check weather conditions and pavement temperature to protect your dog’s paws. I also bring fresh water, a portable bowl, an extra leash, and paw-cleaning supplies to keep your pet comfortable throughout the visit. Before care begins, I take time to understand your pet’s dietary needs, treat limits, allergies, and any special instructions. I also collect vet and emergency contact details so I am fully prepared for any situation. My goal is to provide calm, attentive, and reliable care so your pet feels safe, and you feel completely at ease.
“McKenzie has just started walking my dog. She has been great with her. She’s great with Communication, patience, kindness, and going the extra mile. My girl loves her. I can’t recommend McKenzie enough!”
About: I've been my street's resident animal lover since I was a kid. I've always loved being around dogs, cats, snakes, and more, and am always honored when someone trusts me to take care of a part of their family! I have two dogs of my own, and three cats that share my home! Although I technically have no professional experience in this specific area, I promise to give your animal the best care possible! I am currently working at a small caramel factory grim 10am-2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Other than that, I'm free to give your pets all the attention they need! I am unavailable for boarding, though I am happy to watch and play with your pets at your house while you are away. I am more than willing to comply with whatever boundaries you set relating to your house and animal. It's most important for you to feel comfortable with who is watching your animals!
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for the last 10 years before getting my own pup! I love all animals, and after using Rover myself, I know how important it is to find a great caretaker who will set your mind at ease and take great care of your fur baby. I am very responsive and flexible with my schedule, and will always keep you informed. I have experience with reactive dogs, administering medication, and handling multiple animals at once. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds and will give them the love and care they deserve as if they were my own. I have my own dog, so I am fully aware of how much time needs to be committed to their care, and will be very detail oriented with your pet! I will gladly accommodate specific walking routes, favorite toys or play times, or any special foods to treat or avoid. I have a fenced yard and am very conscious of dog interactions since my dog has some reactivity. I am always mindful of other dogs or animals on walks to make sure my dog is safe and I can redirect his attention or avoid confrontation with off leash dogs, and will show the same attentiveness with yours! For any boarding/doggy day care requests, I require that your pup be crate trained for at least 1 hour at a time comfortably.
“Natalie has gone above and beyond with walking and caring for my very large, reactive dog. She is punctual, patient and communicates clearly with me. I would rehire her in a minute, but she is going to college. I wish her the best of luck in all her endeavors!”

About: The summer between 3rd and 4th grade I knocked on the doors of everyone in the neighborhood asking if I could walk their dogs for $2 a walk. Only 2 houses said yes initially but by the end of the summer I was walking more than half the neighborhood’s dogs. I have always had cats, from recluses to cuddle bugs, I do not discriminate. I currently work remotely for an East Coast company and my typical day looks like waking up at 5:00am, hiking with my hound mix, Tanner. Then I am in front of the computer from 6:30-12:30, and then my days are free onwards. Typically, Tanner and I will then either go on another hike, a swim or head to a dog park to sniff and play. Tanner loves all dogs, and we’d love to bring companions with us on some of our adventures. Tanner also gets lots of love and walks at home, and is perfectly okay staying home with his dad and cat brother if your pup likes one on one time. At my home, I have a fenced in yard, a sweet pup and a big ole sweetie cat. We have a guest room and plenty of space for a crate if privacy and a secure place is important for your pups comfortability. I try to replicate our guests routine as much as I can, without compromising my dogs routine too much. When I watch a pup in their own home, whatever their owner tells me to do, I am happy to do.
About: I have been around dogs and cats of all ages! I am a licensed veterinary technician and have years of clinical and home care experience. I love taking care of pets any age, size, or shape. I treat all pets that I meet like my own and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I work three days out of the week so I have plenty of time to spend some time with other pets! I love meeting other dogs and spending time with them. I will follow all of your instructions. I am very type A, and love to have instructions and keep your pets on a schedule if that is what works best for them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
