“Savannah is the best! She was very communicative and my kitty was in good hands while I was traveling. Highly recommend booking with her. Traveling is stressful but knowing my cat is in god hands is a huge relief.”
“I couldn’t be happier with Natasha and how well she cared for our cats and sugar glider. She is very attentive, meticulous and our cats love her calming energy. So thankful to have found someone so kind and responsible that we can trust while we are away. Will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Kristie did an awesome job caring for our fur babies while we were gone. Our pup required a little extra attention with his current meds and additional walks. She stayed on top of it and was able to check in on him regularly throughout the day. Both him and our cat seemed happy and cared for when we got home. So glad to have found her and will definitely use again!”

“Dara was great! This was the 2nd time she watched Toby (cat) and was very responsive and thorough. She sent detailed updates for each check-in and sent many pictures. Would trust her in our home again and with Toby again! Highly recommend.”

“Jessie went above and beyond to get to Winnie and give her a couple great walks and provide great feedback. A snow wall was not enough to keep him away. Thrilled with our first rover experience thanks to him!”

“Eliza was a great first time Rover experience. She was timely for her visits, played with Moby, and always gave updates and sent photos. If you want to have no worries with your pet she is the Rover sitter for you, looking forward to working with her again in the near future.”

“Miranda was great with our cat Jasper while we were gone. She communicated well, was timely with her visits and won over his little feline heart. Would certainly recommend her services to anyone.”

About: I cared for family dogs, cats & horses through childhood & my 20s. Here in Asheville, I've had two dogs (one at a time) for 13 years. I am attuned to safety & health first; then I focus on play/walking to provide fun & exercise for emotional, mental & physical stimulation. In addition to having food, water, shelter & a comfortable temperature, all pets need to feel safe, loved & respected. I am gentle, thorough, attentive, & caring, & I follow all instructions carefully. I have worked with puppies through senior dogs as well as my flighty, 52-lb. 6-yr-old reactive Pit Bull/Cane Corso rescue, whom I walk daily & hike with weekly. I've used the Behavior Adjustment & Doggy Dan training systems with this sweet companion, who had been abused & neglected before I adopted her at 14 months. I have done drop-in visits for friends for 10 yrs. & can give medications orally, in ears & as injections. Before a first service, I do a meet & greet to get to know you & your furry friend & learn about how your canine relates to people, other dogs, cats, squirrels & rabbits. Activiies include playing fetch, tug of war, food puzzles & your pup's favorites. I'm available for drop-ins and dog walking between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Also I'm free between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. I am a fulltime pet care giver. At this time, I do not stay overnight with pets in my home or my clients' homes. Instead, I do 30-minute drop-in visits and 30-minute walks in clients' neighborhoods.
“Benjamin is wonderful! Great communication and reliable. One of my cats is verrrrry shy and made himself known to Benjamin much sooner than he typically does, so I know they are very comfortable with him. I know my cats are in great hands when I am away!”

“Sydney is a pet sitter dream. My dog is really nervous and I’ve come back from travels in the past to a dog that is clearly depressed and has lost weight. This time, thanks to Sydney, Noomi was her usual self. The pictures throughout the week showed how happy she was. Sydney was very communicative and quick with her responses. I was able to enjoy my vacation bc I knew Noomi was in great hands. Thank you!!!”

“I adopted my dog fairly recently so I was nervous about leaving her with someone else for the weekend, but Megan was extremely attentive and made me feel comfortable on day 1! She was wonderful about providing updates and asking about details I hadn't even considered. I have a cat as well and I could tell they were both very fond of her by the end of the weekend. I would definitely recommend Megan to anybody looking for a petsitter.”

About: Having grown up with dogs and cats, I know how important taking care of our fur babies is! I have lots of experience taking care of both, big and small, for friends and family. I’d love to extend that personalized care I provide to my own dog to your pets! I accept requests mostly on weekday evenings at the moment, and some weekends depending on my personal schedule. Working in daily doggy walks is something I enjoy! I try my best to keep my calendar updated. Before any services are provided, I will set up a meet and greet to ensure I’m a good fit for your pet and your needs. First and foremost, I want to make sure we all get along and you feel excited to leave your pet with me! For pet visit care, you can expect me to do things such as: ensure their water bowl is full, clean their litter box (cats), feed them, give them pets and treats, pick up any small accidents (potty or house cleanliness-related), or let them out into a fenced backyard (dogs) for a bit. This, of course, can change depending on your needs for your service. Happy to adjust if needed for dogs that might need more specific care, such as medical treatments. Pet sitting would include all this, as well as walks for the pups and additional cuddle time! If tending to my own errands or other client’s pets during the day, I will only be up to 5 hours away from the home at a time, unless told otherwise is necessary. With house sitting, you can rest assured your home will be respected and taken care of. I will make sure I leave things clean, and your pets happy.
“Kara was wonderful as always! She gives great updates and pictures, informs you on any unusual changes for your pet, and gives all the snuggles or playtime your cat needs. We will definitely keep utilizing Kara in the future. Thanks for making Ramen feel loved while we were out of town!”

“Sherrie took great care of my pup! She understands dog personalities are all different and took care to acknowledge my pups boundaries while still taking great care of her. I will definitely be booking with her in the future:)”

“Not to be dramatic, but Louise is the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! My pup, Dolly, absolutely loves her and she’s always providing the sweetest most thoughtful updates and cute pictures. I always know Dolly will be well taken care of with Louise. I work long days in the summer months, so I need someone to give her exercise and attention during the day when I can’t. With other sitters I would come home and Dolly would still seem wound up, but she seems like she’s getting exactly what she needs with Louise. Couldn’t be happier with her!”

Mersadi was a joy to work with and took wonderful care of my 2 cats while I was away! Mersadi was very easy to communicate with, and sent me drop in notes and pictures every day. The peace of mind knowing my boys were taken care of while I was out of town is priceless!

Jen is AMAZING! My kitty, Phoebe, never leaves my side. I was nervous to leave her for 16 days because she is not used to being alone. However, there was nothing to worry about because Jen is a real pro: Phoebe did have separation anxiety when I left. Jen promptly reached out and worked with me daily until Phoebe was better. Jen even had to give Phoebe a medication that I had not anticipated. No problem! You can feel confident she will take great care of your pet.

I couldn’t be happier with Natasha and how well she cared for our cats and sugar glider. She is very attentive, meticulous and our cats love her calming energy. So thankful to have found someone so kind and responsible that we can trust while we are away. Will definitely rebook with her again!

Jennifer was a great cat sitter, she came over for a meet and greet and asked great questions. Her updates were the most thoughtful and thorough of any sitter I've had. I felt great knowing my cat was in great hands. She made sure everything was exactly how preferred. Thanks Jennifer!

Isabelle is the best petsitter Ive worked with through Rover! She was very kind and communicative through the whole process and sent me thoughtful updates on my cat Gizmo. He LOVED her! I would highly recommend Isabelle and hope to book her again soon. Thank you, Isabelle!

Lindsay agreed to my sit at the last moment and found time to come over and meet me and the kitties. Unfortunately, I had to terminate my sit early. Lindsay was very gracious about the change. She loved on my kitties and they seemed comfortable with her. She kept in touch and provided additional pictures of the kitties. I highly recommend Lindsay and hope to use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodfin. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
