“Gabi did awesome with our Rory! She is a 4 month old lab mix that can be quite the handful. Gabi stayed over at our house for 4 days and was able to handle her great :)”

“Beth is very attentive with Otto. We got daily updates with pictures. She took him on multiple walks daily, played with him, and spent time relaxing with him so that he was comfortable with her. Otto sometimes has trouble on walks around other dogs, and Beth made sure he was safe when in the leash. Otto enjoyed his time with her!”

“Christina did a great job with Gracie. The first time they met, it was as if they were long lost friends! Christina communicated frequently and sent wonderful pictures while she was at our house. I would definitely book her again.”

“Anna was such a dream. I had an unexpected delay in my flight and she was willing to stay a few extra hours to ensure my dog was taken care of helping ease the stress of the travel delay. I highly recommend her. She’s very responsive and communicates very well. Thank you for saving the day Anna!”

About: I've worked for a dog walking company, wrangled ferrets, and outsmarted wily cats. With nearly a decade of pet sitting experience I'm ready for just about anything your furry friend can throw at me. I'm adept at problem solving and can meet your pet where they need me to be. I have experience administering medication and coaxing the anxious and stubborn out of their shells. I am free most days in the morning and the afternoon if you need a walker quickly. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to work with clients to meet their needs. I will follow any instructions clients give for how much freedom they want their pets to have. I usually like to keep them in sight or in an enclosed area like a fenced in yard when not out on a walk. I like playing and keeping them entertained or sitting quietly together if they're tired. It mostly depends on the energy levels and temperament of each individual.

“Christina did a great job watching my dogs. We had a good meeting before I booked with her and I could tell right away how comfortable my 2dogs were with her. She texted me when she got to my house, sent pictures and texted again the next morning early to let me know the dogs had breakfast and had been outside. She confirmed both our meetings before I booked and confirmed the dog sitting as well which I really appreciated. I will definately use Christina again.”

“Yuliia was terrific with our very quirky, anxious rescue dog and with our sweet, easy dog. She was patient with the anxious guy and didn't give up on becoming his friend. We'd definitely recommend her!”

“Ke'vin was very flexible with scheduling when we had to find someone quickly to leave town for a family emergency. With little notice, he came to our house for a first meeting and then started the next day for a overnight sitting service for five days. Our senior dog is always afraid of new people but Ke'vin sent videos of her and it's clear she warmed up quickly to him and really liked him. He gave her meds with no issue. I'm glad we found Ke'vin on Rover!”

“We would re-book Jillina without hesitation. She is a high integrity, super responsible pet sitter who will make it a priority to comfort and care for your pets. She truly bonded with our felines (2 mature Siberian cats). Her attention to our details, which we clearly outlined, were kept without compromise. We graced her with a lot of latitude in our home which she treated with great respect and did not in any way take advantage of. Our cats will miss her! Jillian personifies the ideal pet sitter.”

“Joseph was great with our dogs, they were in a great mood when we got home! Good communicator and house sitter. He’s stayed with our dogs twice now and we will definitely book him again!”

“Ana was so attentive to our dog Willow’s needs. She was great with communication and gave her some love & great walks! Would definitely recommend Ana as the caretaker for your dog or pet!”

About: My ability to quickly bond with an animal my flexibly and customer service. I may just move your pets more than you do . I’ve always had multiple pets and now I get to give back . I am retired and can work as many house as possible. I am looking for a full time role and I am free day and nights By protecting them each pet and hind is different. In my house we have a fence in others we used leads. At other homes they’ve had everything from electrical fences ….. nothing would be new to me. I just believe in the safety of the pet

About: I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and have over 30 years of experience caring for them, so being with animals has always felt natural to me. I’ve looked after everything from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs who need extra patience and support. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, and I especially love going on long walks together—it’s one of the best ways to bond and keep them happy. What makes me different is how much I care—I follow their routines closely and make sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at home while you’re away. After years in a fast-paced office role, I’m taking a break to reset and refocus after some of life’s unexpected turns. During this time, I’ve chosen to do what brings me the most peace and joy—spending time with animals. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine now, and I’m grateful to have the flexibility to give each dog my full attention, whether it’s for daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. This isn’t just a side gig—it’s something that truly fills my days with meaning and calm. When caring for pets in their own homes, I do everything I can to keep their routine familiar and stress-free. I pay close attention to their needs, respect their space, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions closely because I understand the importance of those details. I treat your home with the same respect and care I give your pet, and I always aim to build trust with both of you from day one.

“Raagini took such good care on our fur babies! She sent lots of pictures and updates, and spent plenty of time each visit just hanging out and loving on our pets. Will definitely use her again, and highly recommend her. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 15 and have had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have a cat, so I’m comfortable with both cats and dogs. I’ve previously provided dog walking and house sitting services during the week, and I understand the importance of keeping pets happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every animal like family and bring years of hands-on experience to each visit. I work a full-time job Monday through Friday, but I’m available for pet care after 5 PM on weekdays and fully open on weekends. I love spending my free time with animals—it’s the perfect way to unwind and bring joy to my week. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a clean, calm, and supervised environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I never leave pets unattended outdoors and always use leashes on walks to ensure their safety.

Vernon Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Krystal was wonderful with my two senior cats who have a lot of medical issues. I gave her a lengthy list of our routine, preferences and requirements and she took them and broke them down into a beautifully organized list with my notes and notes she had taken when she did a pre visit to see what was needed. She was thoughtful and caring for my two guys. I came home and she left a note with some details on how things went and it was hard to tell that she was even here as she had cleaned my house. I haven’t had good experiences with sitters from Rover in the past but Krystal definitely stands out. I’m a worrier about my guys with their health issues but she put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend Krystal Thank you Krystal!

Brianna was an absolutely phenomenal dog sitter! She took such great care of our dogs, adhering to their schedule/ instructions and going above and beyond in many ways! Brianna stayed over at our house and was able to let the pups out first thing in the morning and before bed. She gave them lots of attention and took them for walks, sending many pictures every day. We came home to well cared for pups and a clean house! Brianna has excellent dog handling and communication skills, and I can’t recommend Brianna enough!

Rebecca was great & our pets loved her. Communication was excellent & we loved the photos & videos she sent. It was so nice to come home to happy, calm pets instead of stressed out pets that were kenneled. Having her stay in our home reduced our worries about our pets & allowd us to enjoy our vacation. Would definitely use Rebecca as a housesitter again!
