About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have been the go to for friends and family members when they travel because I have had such a flexible schedule during my career. I am now retired so I can spoil your fur baby 24/7. I have experience with my "nephew" a very large male german shepard all the way down to my soul dog, 8 lb Ellie Mae and everything in between. Multiple dogs is not an issue either. I have watched up to three dogs all with different schedules and needs. I will also leave your house as clean if not cleaner than when you left. I would consider it an honor for you to trust me with both. I have been retired for five years which means I will only be focusing on your dogs happiness and safety. I have been busy on the trusted housesitters site for over a year and have travelled the US visiting friends and family and falling in love with many dogs and taking care of some great homes. I have plenty of references available for you as I transition to this platform. I currently don't have any animals so I'm able to give yours my undivided attention I will take your lead, and the dogs, as to what you require. I love to walk for miles, I love to be outdoors and play fetch and I also appreciate a good chill on the couch. If you dog likes to ride in the car we can go get a pup cup and stick our head out the window. Whatever rules, requirements or special needs your fur baby requires I am able to provide. I will never be gone more that four hours at an absolute maximum and that would be a rarity just depending if I am in a new area and want to explore a little. “Katy was absolutely amazing! She watched our sweet Sophie when we went out of town for 5 days over Thanksgiving. While Sophie is an easy dog in general, she has a medical condition that requires her to take medication 2 times per day. While her medication in the afternoon is the same, her 4 morning medications alternate each day. Katy did great following the medication regimen. She was excellent at getting Sophie to take her meds which she sometimes puts up a fuss about. I got regular updates on Sophie. If Katy had any questions or needed anything she was not afraid to ask. If they require something and I am attending them I make sure it happens. Not only is your space respected when I watch them but also the pets space. Feeding times, walk routes, and any medical requirements and boundaries will be discussed because all situations are different. If something happens like say something fell or they went potty by accident I will clean it up no problem. A work space is better when it's clean but also when it's fun!!! I do bring things like cleaning baggies and lint rollers but I can also make sure any particular scents are avoided.

Because of the paw injury, extra care was needed, and Amanda handled it all perfectly—she cleaned and applied medication to the wound every day, took our dog on gentle, easy walks, and even gave her a thoughtful bath on the last night. When we returned, we were touched to find a carefully prepared gift along with new toys and supplies for our dog. Amanda truly treats every dog like a member of her own family. I can’t recommend her highly enough—she is absolutely wonderful, and we are so grateful to have found her.
This was our first time using Rover and we could not have been more lucky to find Hailey! Hailey is very responsive, provided clear communication, and many awesome updates, including pictures and videos, while we were out of town. Our dog is 13 with many health issues so we are very hesitant to leave him with anyone other than family, but as soon as we met Hailey there was an immediate sense of comfort and relief knowing he was going to be in great hands in the comfort of his own home. Jo stayed with our nervous, reactive dog Luna for a full week. Jo came over to house multiple times prior to the trip so Luna could get comfortable with her. Jo has a great calm nature about her. We felt very comfortable with her staying out our house and knew Luna was in good hands. Jo gave us daily updates (with pictures). We highly recommend Jo to watch your loved one(s).
