“Mallory takes great care of Sasha and Sasha lives her walks and play with Mallory. We try to use her every time we aren’t able to take care of Sasha ourselves. She is great.”

“Jo was absolutely wonderful looking after our kitties. She was extremely informative and very responsive. It’s always stressful leaving our kitties alone, but Jo made us feel at ease. Would absolutely rebook again!”

“Christina did a great job looking after my cat. He unexpectedly had surgery right before our trip and she managed his medications and care. It was good to have a knowledgeable and reliable person in this stressful situation. I highly recommend her!”

“Anna was just wonderful! She came for drop-in visits and looked after my dog and cat while we were gone for 8 days. I looked forward to seeing the photos of my sweet dog on his walks and I couldn’t believe my extremely shy cat made appearances for photos, too! We were relaxed on our vacation knowing our pets were well looked after. Thank you so very much, Anna!”

About: I grew up with German Shepard named Stormy. I loved taking her for long walks or playing in the yard. Throughout college and grad school, I did a lot of pet-sitting for others when they were on vacation. I finally got a dog of my own in my late twenties. Goose is a very lovable, yet lazy dog. We go for long walks but also love a good afternoon nap. I currently work full time. I am looking to do some dog walking on the weekends. Dogs are humans' best friends and should be treated as such. My dog is always my priority in my own routine. I hope that she is when others care for her. I will treat your dog the same. I am looking to be a dog-walker primarily. I love long walks. I am very kind and gentle with animals but also can handle a reactive dog if needed. I have experience with reactive and protective animals. I have only ever had larger dogs in my own home. I'm comfortable with any size dog and any personality type.
About: I have been pet sitting cats and dogs for over 10 years. As my family as always been animal lovers, taking care of furry friends comes naturally to me. I love getting to help others while spending time with and caring for their pets. I am a substitute teacher and freelance creative, so I have a lot of freedom to build my own schedule - I usually build it weekly. This allows me to create the best possible schedule for my clients and myself. When I enter someone’s home to care for a pet, I have the utmost respect and care for a clients belongings and spaces. On a walk, I focus on making sure the dog is safe & being aware of our surroundings and having a good time enjoying the fresh air.
“Great sitter. Took tons of photos of my kitties so I knew they were well. Followed instructions for daily visits. Connected it my friendly cat all the time and made progress with my shy girl. Will definitely use again.”

About: I have lived with and played with dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a German Shepard, and later on, two cats. I started caring for dogs as an adult in 2023. I have experience pet sitting, dog walking, and playing with dogs and cats. I have a love for animals all shapes and sizes, and will make your pets' needs a top priority. I'm currently home from school. I work a part time job as a server on weekday nights. I also have a remote class Tuesday afternoons. I'm available any time outside of that range to care for your pets! I'm flexible when it comes to scheduling, and willing to accommodate to whatever is best for you. When caring for other people's pets, I make sure to send frequent check-ins, photos, and questions to the owner. If needed, I have my own car in case of any vet trips/emergencies.
“This was our first time with Sandy watching our two cats and she was fantastic! She fed our cats, changed the litter, and sent pictures during her visit. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Raagini did an amazing job watching our cats. She provided fun updates each day with plenty of pictures. She went above and beyond by keeping the cat area clean. I highly recommend Raagini's drop in services.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
