About: I have lived with and played with dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a German Shepard, and later on, two cats. I started caring for dogs as an adult in 2023. I have experience pet sitting, dog walking, and playing with dogs and cats. I have a love for animals all shapes and sizes, and will make your pets' needs a top priority. I'm currently home from school. I work a part time job as a server on weekday nights. I also have a remote class Tuesday afternoons. I'm available any time outside of that range to care for your pets! I'm flexible when it comes to scheduling, and willing to accommodate to whatever is best for you. When caring for other people's pets, I make sure to send frequent check-ins, photos, and questions to the owner. If needed, I have my own car in case of any vet trips/emergencies.

I am now retired so I can spoil your fur baby 24/7. I have experience with my "nephew" a very large male german shepard all the way down to my soul dog, 8 lb Ellie Mae and everything in between. Multiple dogs is not an issue either. I have watched up to three dogs all with different schedules and needs. I will also leave your house as clean if not cleaner than when you left. I would consider it an honor for you to trust me with both. I have been retired for five years which means I will only be focusing on your dogs happiness and safety. I have been busy on the trusted housesitters site for over a year and have travelled the US visiting friends and family and falling in love with many dogs and taking care of some great homes. I have plenty of references available for you as I transition to this platform. I currently don't have any animals so I'm able to give yours my undivided attention I will take your lead, and the dogs, as to what you require. I love to walk for miles, I love to be outdoors and play fetch and I also appreciate a good chill on the couch. If you dog likes to ride in the car we can go get a pup cup and stick our head out the window. Whatever rules, requirements or special needs your fur baby requires I am able to provide. I will never be gone more that four hours at an absolute maximum and that would be a rarity just depending if I am in a new area and want to explore a little. If it is local to this Chicago/Northern IL area been there/done that.

“Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!”

About: I have been dog-sitting for five years now. I would say I’m a very patient person as I teach dance to young children. I am very hardworking and trustworthy person. I’m currently finishing a degree in dance and marketing! Following my college graduation, I will be available during the day until I go to teach dance. My schedule varies each day and sometimes varies week to week, but I always have my morning available. I am definitely a morning person! I keep my home and my own spaces very clean and organized. I really don’t like clutter which makes for safer environments for your animals.

About: I have worked in Veterinary medicine for over 14 years. I started out as a kennel attandant and worked by way up to become an uncertified veterinarty technicican. I started pet sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and have done it part-time ever since. I have experience with all sorts of dog and cat behaviors. I am flexible and can accommodate for most things. I do work 4 10 hr shift right now. I am available in the early AM and late PM. I do have weekends off right now as well. Depending on the location, I can stop in on my lunch breaks if it isn't too far from my work. I will be able to do anything a pet owner asks of me. I think it is good to keep the pet's routine as close to their norm as possible when their owners are away. This helps limits the stress for the pets.
