About: I have worked as a pet boarder and sitter on Rover for about a year. Having previously worked as a certified nursing assistant, I have experience as a caregiver, and one of my greatest passions is caring for pets. Dogs and cats are members of a family, and it is so important to care for them as you would any other family member. I have several years of experience boarding dogs for their owners when they have been on vacation, and have also cared for my own animals throughout my whole life. I also have experience as an animal transporter for West Hancock canine rescue, in which I would work with a team to take dogs and cats from high kill shelters to foster homes or rescues. I also have a wonderful dog I rescued, Ollie, who is friendly and likes to play with other dogs at times. I’m working part-time so have time to play with pups! And our family loves animals, so it’s a great fit for us to pet sit, and we like providing a home environment for owners who need to travel. I provide a calm, safe and fun environment for pets to play. Provide walks and let pets out regularly. I believe it’s important to attend to all feeding and medication needs as a high priority.

“Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!”

About: My husband Ian and I have over 10+ years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. We both are comfortable with animals that require more medical treatment or attention. My husband Ian and I split up our bookings between the two of us typically or share the responsibilities. My husband Ian works M-F 7:30am to 4pm and I recently transitioned to working from home. We have a fenced in yard with two pups at home ourselves to keep your furry friend(s) entertained. We do offer you to bring their crate for sleeping to make them feel more comfortable, but typically we just have them set up in our living room to feel most comfortable. We are flexible!

I am a licensed clinical massage therapist and I am planning to go to school for canine massage. I have been walking my neighbor’s dogs for many years. About: I have worked in Veterinary medicine for over 14 years. I started out as a kennel attandant and worked by way up to become an uncertified veterinarty technicican. I started pet sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and have done it part-time ever since. I have experience with all sorts of dog and cat behaviors. I am flexible and can accommodate for most things. I do work 4 10 hr shift right now. I am available in the early AM and late PM. I do have weekends off right now as well. Depending on the location, I can stop in on my lunch breaks if it isn't too far from my work. I will be able to do anything a pet owner asks of me. I think it is good to keep the pet's routine as close to their norm as possible when their owners are away. This helps limits the stress for the pets.

I am passionate about the human/canine bond and have experience with most breeds, ages, and temperaments of dogs. I’ve spent time walking dogs for a company, on my own, in a shelter environment, and working in doggy daycare. I love to bond with dogs and learn what makes them feel safe and loved. About: Have taken care of dogs since I was young. Neighbors and family friends alike. I’ve also always had a dog since I was younger as well. Pet care is a part of my daily life since I have my own dog and help with my sisters. Dogs can’t talk so sticking to a routine helps them out. I’ve taking care of both small and bigger dogs so the level of care and exercise varies. I’ve taken care of dogs who need to take meds and not exercise too much as to not hurt themselves. Along with active farm type of dogs who have needed an hour or two walk.
