About: What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for dogs. I understand that every pet has unique needs, so I adapt my care to their personality and routine. Whether it’s an energetic puppy needing extra playtime, a senior dog requiring gentle attention, or a shy pet that needs patience to build trust, I’m committed to providing safe, compassionate, and dependable care. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, happy, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind. I work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so I’m available for morning walks before work, evening visits, and overnight pet care during the week. I’m also available most weekends, which allows me to spend extra time with pets for walks, drop-in visits, or extended care. I always make sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to ensure each pet stays comfortable and maintains their normal routine. I respect feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications (if required), and any special care instructions. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or in the owner’s home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment while giving each pet the time, attention, and affection they deserve. My priority is making every pet feel secure, happy, and well cared for.

About: I've had my own dog since he was six, and now he's 14. From his puppy-like stage to being almost 90 in human years, I've taken care of him in all types of physicality. He was my first dog, but I took care of my friends' and neighbors' dogs since around 6th grade. I've taught him everything from shaking my hand, to weaving through my legs. My current job requires me to come in on an as-needed basis, typically on weekends, but only from 9-3. I have all the time in the world! My yard is not fenced, but we do have a long leash/rope that we keep our dog on when outside (he runs through invisible dog fences). My dog doesn't eat shoes and won't go on furniture unless allowed, so at night he just sleeps in a dog bed. I have worked with crate-trained dogs and always do my best to maintain the pet's daily lifestyle.
“Sheryl is amazing!!! We have a 90 lb lab, and she handled him beautifully! Browser had such an instant positive reaction to Sheryl that we knew she was the right person. Sheryl came same day with almost no notice - I had just gotten out of the hospital and needed someone to walk Browser. She is used to handling large dogs and it showed. Great communication skills, very personable. We will definitely continue to use Sheryl - what a great find!!”

I substitute teach and make my own schedule, so I have flexibility and availability for taking care of your pets. I love to walk dogs in all weather, and I am available for overnights with dogs as needed. I know that there is less stress for dogs and for owners if the dog can stay in a familiar setting which is why I have used rover myself in the past for vacations.
“Shannon was extremely reliable and great with our dog. We had no issues and she was really pleasant to work with. We will definitely be hiring her again whenever we need help watching/walking our dog!”

“Matthew was on time , polite and very friendly with my dog. He had the right questions to ask about where to walk in the neighborhood, area of disposal, can we interact with other dogs, does he like kids etc He even took my dog for a run , trained him a bit , helped let out some energy. All in all he was great, definitely recommend him”

“Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!”

Danielle is truly the best. She always takes tons of pictures of my doggo’s adventures and even goes out of her way to wipe him down (since he likes to roll around in dirt). She is a gem and I’m very fortunate to have her as Coco’s sitter. She is wonderful person and my doggo loves her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
