“Deidre was fantastic! Will definitely use again when we’re in town next! At drop off, my dogs were comfortable with her right away and at pick up my dogs came home tired and happy! Thank you!”

About: As an experienced, full time dog sitter, I'm here to provide your small to medium sized dog a safe, clean, & cozy home environment. If your dog is not comfortable in a kennel, I'm your answer. As a former paraprofessional for children with special needs, and a mom, I have the experience and loving heart to meet your dog's emotional and structural needs. BOARDING: The core of my business is overnight sitting in my smoke-free home environment. Your dog will get my love and attention all day and through the night. No crating unless you request it. Protected mealtimes, proper rest, and outdoor time in my fenced in backyard. Whether your dog sleeps in a crate, a floor bed, or in my bed, I am there with your dog all night long. My mission is to keep your dog happy and healthy, and give owners peace of mind. You will receive photos and updates by text messaging throughout your dog's stay. Check out my photo gallery! Resident dog, Hawkeye, is a "Teddy Bear", (mix of Shih Tzu, Bichon Frise, and Poodle). He does not shed, and is hypoallergenic. His personality is calm and relaxed, except when the garbage trucks come by. 😉 DAYCARE: Offered only as needed for existing customers. CHECK-IN SERVICES: If you have a larger dog or cats, I can stop by to let your dogs outside, provide food and water, & clean litter boxes. On an as needed basis only, not full time. ABOUT ME: I love getting to know and care for guest dogs, and have been living with and learning about dogs for over 8 years as an owner, and over 7 years as a host. A love for dogs (and all animals) is so natural, enjoyable, and rewarding for me. My approach with dogs is based on the philosophy of Temple Grandin's “Animals in Translation” research to fulfill a dog's emotional needs first. Prior to this, for 5 years, I was a paraprofessional with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). I have experience in ABA therapy for children with autism, positive reinforcement, crisis management, and classroom management. Pet care IS my daily routine. Your pet will settle in quickly as she/he always has a person to depend on, and my friendly dog keeping watch over her/him. Your dog will enjoy outdoor freedom, fresh cold filtered water, protected meal times, comfy beds and furniture for lounging, and a nice lady who cares as much about your peace of mind as she does about your precious pet. A safe environment is a must, that’s why I have a fenced in yard, and a three door system for entering and leaving the house. I keep a clean house too.
“Jean was so friendly and welcoming. She kept in touch frequently with updates and photos, which put our minds entirely at ease while we were away. Our dog had a good time while her stay at Jean’s. Most importantly she came back happy. We will definitely book her again”
About: I have had pets since I was 1 years old - whatever my parents let me get away with (dog, cats, fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs). As an adult I continue to own cats and dogs and currently own 2 cats. I will treat your pet as a member of my family while in my care. I nursed my cat to health from losing a kidney and he lived till he was 17yo. I nursed my geriatric dog with eye disease, arthritis until he was 14.5yo. I am more experienced with adult and geriatric pets than babies but welcome all. I am currently unemployed and seeking supplemental income. I'm also healing from CIRS/Lyme and need a walking partner to improve my health! My schedule is flexible although I do often have evening commitments with my son and his activities. My yard is large and fenced in. I live next to several walking trails and have a quiet neighborhood. I live close to a dog park and dog beach. I am familiar with crate training and administering medications.

“Thank you so much for accepting my booking at the last minute — I truly appreciate it! 😊 Thank you also for taking such good care of Nysa and making sure she was fed, even though she can be a little stubborn sometimes. That really means a lot to me. I felt very comfortable leaving her with you, and I would definitely love to have Nysa stay with you again next time! 🐾”

About: I grew up with a dog and loved him very much. He passed away, and the family has not yet gotten another, but I miss caring for a dog. I love all dogs and cats of any size and any animal, for that matter. I am incredibly attentive to animals and always love giving them care, even when they are not mine. I am almost always home and able to pet sit through the day and overnight. I am currently in college, but taking classes online, so I am constantly available to tend to your pet's needs. I am a very active person who can take your pet on walks or runs more than once each day if need be. If your pet enjoys resting, I will also do it with them as I complete work on my computer and will pay close attention to them or snuggle with them if it's what they like. I will care for each pet depending on their specific needs, whether they need to have walks, use the bathroom often, or receive personal care. My home is very safe for pets, as it was already set up for a dog in the past with carpeted stairs and a yard to play in. The yard has a fence around part of it, but it is still open, so if I take your pet outside to play, I will use a leash and keep them in the yard safely separated from any danger. The only other person living in the home will be my mother, who is also an animal lover, but is generally at work during weekdays.

“Thank you Dee for wonderful care you provided to Nikita while we were gone. I felt confident and calm that you would take great care of her! I would love to keep in touch and use your services in the future. I also highly recommend your services to others, especially to highly worrisome and demanding pet owners:)))”

About: Hi I'm Taylor! I have been around dogs my whole life! I live in a house with a huge fenced in yard. My puppies (Emmy, Bowser and Felix) and I are willing to bring love, attention, and play to your fur baby. We have several parks nearby that we walk to and play on a daily basis. I work from home during the weekday, so will be home throughout the day to care for your dog or cat. Your pet will be in good hands under my care. Emmy Bowser and Felix are very friendly and haven’t met a dog they don’t love. I also have a two year old daughter who loves dogs, but your dog must be good with young children. I work from home so I can easily let your dog out for potty breaks throughout the day and take them for walks on a break I have a fenced in yard and a crate if needed. My dogs sleep in the bed with me so that’s fine if that is what your dog is used to
“Megan was great with my dog! She sent lots of pictures and I could tell my dog was having the best time ever. Megan was an excellent communicator and so easy to work with. I will book with again and recommend others do as well.”

“My wife and I are incredibly grateful that Byron and his wife were our dogsitters. They truly went above and beyond in taking excellent care of our furry companions. We will definitely book them again whenever we need reliable dog sitters to look after our dogs.”

“Pat took great care of my dog. She has a lot of experience and really cares about animals. This was my dog's first time with Pat and he seemed to have enjoyed himself (even though he was a little uneasy with an unfamiliar environment). I definitely recommend Pat to care for your fur babies.”

“Julie has been an accommodating and loving caregiver to our Bella. Bella really seems to enjoy her time at Julie's place. She will be our first-choice sitter whenever we need a caregiver for Bella. Thank you Julie!”

“Wendy was very dear and took great care of Schatzi during the days while I visited nearby sites during my stay in the Bronx. I would never have been able go to Botanical Gardens and Zoo and museums without her help with my mini dachsie. Wendy has a mini dachsie and the two greeted each other very amicably on first meet. "We loved having her (Schatzi)."”

Green Oaks dog parents share their Rover experiences
Juliana was a blessing for us and Molly our Labrador Retriever. While attending an out of town birthday party I needed a few hours of daycare for Molly. I originally thought a nearby PetSmart would be the answer however after viewing their confined and noisy facility I knew Molly would not be comfortable there. Juliana was close by, and on short notice, available to care for Molly. While I was at the party Juliana sent me some photos and videos of Molly happily playing at a nearby dog park so I knew all was going well and not to worry about her. Molly and I would definitely recommend Juliana if you're in need of a sitter for your dog.
