About: My husband Ian and I have over 10+ years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. We both are comfortable with animals that require more medical treatment or attention. My husband Ian and I split up our bookings between the two of us typically or share the responsibilities. My husband Ian works M-F 7:30am to 4pm and I recently transitioned to working from home. We have a fenced in yard with two pups at home ourselves to keep your furry friend(s) entertained. We do offer you to bring their crate for sleeping to make them feel more comfortable, but typically we just have them set up in our living room to feel most comfortable. We are flexible!

Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!

About: I have worked as a pet boarder and sitter on Rover for about a year. Having previously worked as a certified nursing assistant, I have experience as a caregiver, and one of my greatest passions is caring for pets. Dogs and cats are members of a family, and it is so important to care for them as you would any other family member. I have several years of experience boarding dogs for their owners when they have been on vacation, and have also cared for my own animals throughout my whole life. I also have experience as an animal transporter for West Hancock canine rescue, in which I would work with a team to take dogs and cats from high kill shelters to foster homes or rescues. I also have a wonderful dog I rescued, Ollie, who is friendly and likes to play with other dogs at times. I’m working part-time so have time to play with pups! And our family loves animals, so it’s a great fit for us to pet sit, and we like providing a home environment for owners who need to travel. I provide a calm, safe and fun environment for pets to play. Provide walks and let pets out regularly. I believe it’s important to attend to all feeding and medication needs as a high priority.

About: I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for over 5 years. I have care for a range of dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I have also pet sit many cats! I work full-time and have 12-hour shifts three days a week. While my schedule changes weekly, I receive my schedule three weeks in advance, allowing me to plan ahead and work around your needs. During walks, I provide appropriate exercise, potty breaks, and positive reinforcement while staying attentive to their surroundings. During check-ins, I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding, refreshing water, administering medications if needed, cleaning litter boxes or pet areas, and spending quality one-on-one time with your pet. About: I have worked in Veterinary medicine for over 14 years. I started out as a kennel attandant and worked by way up to become an uncertified veterinarty technicican. I started pet sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and have done it part-time ever since. I have experience with all sorts of dog and cat behaviors. I am flexible and can accommodate for most things. I do work 4 10 hr shift right now. I am available in the early AM and late PM. I do have weekends off right now as well. Depending on the location, I can stop in on my lunch breaks if it isn't too far from my work. I will be able to do anything a pet owner asks of me. I think it is good to keep the pet's routine as close to their norm as possible when their owners are away. This helps limits the stress for the pets.

About: I am a retired high school educator, artist, outdoor enthusiast, and animal lover. I am a five-star walker and a very reliable and compassionate caregiver for your pet. I often feel we are kindred spirits and I am totally intrigued by their individual personalities. I have cared for dogs both personally or professionally for most of my life and willingly care for your pet and their individual needs. Whether it be exploring adventure, padding the neighborhood (walking or running), gifting belly rubs, or providing hydration & nutrition, your pet’s needs will be personalized while in my care with much love and affection. In the future, I hope to rehabilitate dogs and work with their family members to provide a safe space filled with discipline, affection, and a true sense of belonging. You can depend on me and trust that your pet will feel cherished and loved while in my care. Since retiring from teaching, my hours of 1:1 attention have expanded. I am now available to give full weekday hours to your pet in addition to my time during weekends. While caring for pets in parks and neighborhoods, I keep them on a leash during all walks and runs. If we are lounging in the yard I provide the dog an opportunity to relax on a lead while I am outdoors with them. For owners who allow their dogs to visit Lakewood Dog Park’s expansive exercise area, I monitor those dogs while they run and play off leash under my constant supervision. While indoors, I follow the rules that my pet owners prefer whether it be cuddling on furniture and slumbering in bed with me or crating them within their cozy caves with their favorite snuggle toy. I do everything I can to mirror the eating, playing, and napping comfort with the same positive experiences your pet receives in your living home while throwing in a little extra spoiling 🐶❤️🐶

About: Hi! I’m Lisa, a lifelong animal lover offering drop-ins and walks with lots of patience, care, and communication. I’ve had my two dogs for over 10 years, and they’ve taught me so much about meeting animals where they are. I've also had cats throughout my life and love them just as much! I’m very respectful of the energy your pet gives me - whether they’re excited, shy, anxious, or just a little quirky. I understand slow introductions, nervous pets, and those funny little routines they come up with that only their parents truly “get.” Whatever your pet needs or wants from me, that’s exactly what they’ll get: snuggles, playtime, a calm presence, a structured walk, or just someone to hang out with. And whatever you need as a pet parent, I’m here for that too. One thing I really focus on is communication. Whenever I’ve hired care for my own dogs, I always wished for more detail and more photos, so that’s what I provide. You’ll get a thorough visit report and plenty of pictures so you always feel connected and confident that your pet is happy and cared for. If you’re looking for someone patient, loving, and attentive to all the little details that matter, I’d love to meet you and your pet! Pet care is already part of my everyday life since I have two dogs of my own. I naturally build my day around walks, feeding routines, playtime, and checking in on how they’re doing - so adding in drop-in visits and dog walks fits really seamlessly. I have a flexible schedule with offering pet care full time, so I can easily accommodate different visit times. For drop-ins and walks, I always follow the pet’s usual routine so everything feels familiar and comfortable for them. I respect whatever the pet parent prefers like slow introductions, specific feeding instructions, medications, quirky routines, etc. In your home, I make sure your pup feels safe and understood, keep the environment calm, refresh water, handle feeding or meds if needed, and give them exactly the style of attention they want, whether that’s playing, cuddling, or just hanging out nearby. I’m very detail-oriented and always leave the home the way I found it.

About: Dog boarding at The Mutt House in Mundelein! We just celebrated our 12 YEAR ANNIVERSARY here at The Mutt House ! It has been a wonderful adventure and I continue to enjoy meeting new families and their furry family members. This is my passion and my focus- this is not just a side job to me- I take it very seriously and your dogs safety and comfort is my priority. They become part of the family while staying with us. The Mutt House is the perfect vacation destination for the (ALREADY) WELL-SOCIALIZED dog while you are enjoying your vacation with peace of mind. ( See note on which breeds I can not accept).. ( Please include PICTURE OF YOUR PUP with request) —————————— Your dog will enjoy a safe, large fenced in yard and plenty of room to roam around our smoke-free home. They are also welcome to lounge on the couch or wherever they are comfortable. We also take a lot of potty breaks and enjoy the outdoors when weather allows. I will send daily pictures and updates directly to your phone, so that you will have peace of mind while away! A few other things to note: 1) Dogs must be spayed/neutered to stay here. 2) Re: DOGS I CAN NOT BOARD: - I can not board dogs with anxiety issues or dogs that are not already socialized with other dogs. - I can not board Huskies, Pits or Pit Mixes, Guarding Breeds, Extreme High Energy Breeds (Australian Shepherd, Boarder Collie) 3) **Please no late drop offs. It takes a while for the dogs to adjust to each other and most settle down for the night by 8:00...so ideally before 5pm is appreciated...We can discuss at our meet and greet. 4) If you live within 10 miles of Mundelein, I am happy to pick up and drop off your dog for you. (Fee depends on distance ) I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for your consideration. *********************************************** About my yard: Spacious fenced-in yard (see pictures). The fence is 6” tall and is routinely examined for safety. My experience administering medication: I am able to administer oral medications and injections. I am home all day- if anything, I may run out to the store or to pickup/drop off my children nearby. My focus is to be home for your dog. We have a safe yard in which I keep the gate locked at all times. We also have an extra “catch” gate going out to the garage so dogs can’t sneak out.
