âKayla was a warm, very reliable and punctual dog walker. She quickly became besties with our dog who can be a real stinker about who she likes and trusts. She was a pleasure to work with and we would no hesitation working with Kayla again.â

âChris is a dog lover! He is very caring, respectful, always prompt and helpful. My dogs love him. Mostly he just walks them, but on occasion has fed and walked them while I was away for the afternoon. Great communication about visits, dog behaviors etc. Great guy!â

âBrittany was great with my reactive dog and was able to accommodate a schedule change without issue. She took and sent photos and look forward to next time!â

About: I've lived with cats for most of my life, and I have experience sitting for both senior dogs and puppies! I'm comfortable around dogs of any size and can handle most medications and messes, provided some instruction. In case it's relevant, I also have some limited experience with a variety of other animals, ranging from birds and mice to horses and rabbits! I'm currently waiting for the growing season to start up again (I'm an environmental technician), so I have plenty of free time during the week to spend helping out with pet care. I have a rather skittish kitty of my own, so I can't board any animals, but I'm happy to come visit others. So long as the information is provided, I'm happy to help feed, play with, clean up after, and help give medications to your furry family members as needed.
âRoxanne did a wonderful job this weekend walking our two dogs. Roxanne is patient and communicative with us, especially regarding our quarantine rules our puppy Killian and an avoiding other dogs until she is fully vaccinated. She is also wonderful with our adult dog Guinness who has a lot of personality and energy. We love Roxanne and highly recommend her!â

âFrom the minute Amy came for our meet and and greet, I knew they were too going to love her. She asked a lot of questions about how to care for Archie and Zoe and I knew it was going to be ok. Amy was on time and sent wonderful report cards and pictures that showed that they were well cared for. Amy adapted to the stubbornness of the two Westies and made sure that they were eating and doing their business. From the pictures she sent it was evident that they loved her. I will definitely request her to watch them again when we have to leave our fur babies. Thank you Amy!â

About: I am a lifelong dog parent, with over 40 years experience with many different breeds; ranging from Terriers to Labs, Shepherds, Huskys, Bully Breeds, Hounds, Herding dogs, Sporting and Working breeds, Toy groups, and many mixed breeds. I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks; studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs and their pet parents. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard with a cabin like interior that is very welcoming to dogs. I offer both a fun and safe environment for my pet guests, and will treat them like family. I have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dog(s) along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.
âMy dog is very skittish at first but ashley made him feel at ease. He started getting separation anxiety but after we started the walks he seems better. He hasn't had accidents and he seems very happy! thank you ashley!â

âBill has been a godsend with walking our girl! We, the doggie parents, both work almost an hour away and canât get home to walk her. Heâs been so awesome and informative. Definitely going to keep using his services.â

These experiences fine-tuned my ability to read dog and cat body language and behavior, ensuring that your pets are safe! I am Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid & CPR Certified. Additionally, I have my own 90lb GSD/staffy mix, who helped me learn so much more about dog training, enrichment, and nutrition. I currently WFH on a flexible schedule, so I am super flexible on bookings! I am able to make weekdays, nights, weekends, and mornings work to fit your needs. FOR OVERNIGHT CARE, PLEASE READ: If you are seeking overnight pet-sitting, please note that I can only stay overnight for clients whose pets are dog-friendly, as my own dog would need to come with so that he is cared for overnight as well. I would require a meet and greet (these are free!) before your set dates to make sure they get along; my pup has never met a dog that he doesn't like! I am huge on safety and comfort for every pet that I work with. To ensure the safety of both your pets and myself, I consistently monitor body language and behavior to assess how your pet is feeling! I follow all special instructions given to me to a T.

About: I have a lot of experience working with a reactive and anxious rescue pit-bull mixâŚmy sweet baby girl, Abby!! Itâs been a process but sheâs made huge strides! So Iâm quite familiar with having to be extremely vigilant on walks, training treats on hand, knowing when to cross the street to avoid triggersâŚetc. I fostered an adorable blue nose pitbull puppy! I house trained him and worked with him for a year. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to doâŚlet that handsome boy go to his forever home! I also had a dog when I was growing up. The only way we were going to get her was if I was willing to take most of the care of her and I happily obliged! I was also the pet sitter in the neighborhood. I love all dogs! Iâm currently not working so I have quite an open schedule! Iâve been a teacher for 21 years and Iâm taking a break to do what I loveâŚspending time with my girl, Abby, volunteering at Save-A-Pet, and helping people out by walking their dogs! Iâm not able to have pets in my home because Abby doesnât get along well with other dogs. Iâm happy to do whatever a client wants me to do with their pet! I live a very active lifestyle, so if your pet needs to go for a few miles run not a problem! Also happy to just give scratches and make your pet feel comfortable while youâre away!
About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I have never had a moment in my life where I was not around pets in some capacity. I was also my friends and neighbors contact when they needed someone to care for their pets. I have been an active volunteer with a local pitbull rescue for many years and spend my free time with the rescue dogs and doing adoption events. I also started volunteering at the local animal rescue by my house as and spend time taking dogs out and helping with fundraising events. I currently have two dogs and one cat of my own that I love very much. My pets stay home with their other pawrent when I am away. I am available on a case by case basis during the day throughout the week but have open availability on weekends for in-home sitting or walks. I can do early morning, lunch, or evening walks/check-in for those busy days to bring you peace of mind that your pets are safe and cared for. Do you need someone to come keep your pet comfortable and happy while youâre out for the day? Or a few drop-in visits? Maybe even just to bring yourself peace of mind?
