“Chris is a dog lover! He is very caring, respectful, always prompt and helpful. My dogs love him. Mostly he just walks them, but on occasion has fed and walked them while I was away for the afternoon. Great communication about visits, dog behaviors etc. Great guy!”

“Brittany took great care of Zelda over the weekend while I was out of town! Zelda is reactive towards dogs and anxious around strangers, but Brittany did great with her and Zelda loves when Brittany stops by to walk her!”

“I am very happy with Guadalupe’s care of my pup. Communication: great; following special instructions: excellent; general care and love of my pup: fantastic. She was also available for a last minus request (due to failed planning on my part), which was a big deal for me. This was my second booking with Guadalupe, and I will likely book again. Thanks Guadalupe!”

About: I am lifelong dog owner with over 40 years experience with 8 dogs and breeds from Terrier mixes to labs, German short hairs, pit bulls, bully breeds and many mixed breeds. I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks and studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard with a cabin like interior that is very welcoming to dogs. I offer both a fun and safe environment for my pet guests, and will treat them like family. I have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dog(s) along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of TLC

About: Hello! My name is Sam; I’m an experienced petsitter and have worked with animals nearly my entire life. I volunteered at Save-A-Pet in Grayslake for over 6 years. Additionally, I worked as a dog handler at Central Bark doggy daycare in Grayslake, and was a stablehand at Shorewood Acres in Grayslake for 4 years. These experiences fine-tuned my ability to read dog and cat body language and behavior, ensuring that your pets are safe! I am Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid & CPR Certified. Additionally, I have my own 90lb GSD/staffy mix, who helped me learn so much more about dog training, enrichment, and nutrition. I can assure you, your pets will be safe with me as your pet sitter, dog walker, or drop-in visitor. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet. Thank you for your time and consideration! I currently WFH on a flexible schedule, so I am super flexible on bookings! I am able to make weekdays, nights, weekends, and mornings work to fit your needs. FOR OVERNIGHT CARE, PLEASE READ: If you are seeking overnight pet-sitting, please note that I can only stay overnight for clients whose pets are dog-friendly, as my own dog would need to come with so that he is cared for overnight as well. I would require a meet and greet (these are free!) before your set dates to make sure they get along; my pup has never met a dog that he doesn't like! I am huge on safety and comfort for every pet that I work with. To ensure the safety of both your pets and myself, I consistently monitor body language and behavior to assess how your pet is feeling! I follow all special instructions given to me to a T.

About: I’m an animal lover and have been privileged to own and care for fresh & saltwater fish, frogs, turtles, salamanders, hamsters, rabbits, parakeets, blue front Amazon parrot, cats & dogs. I’m able to care for animals that need shots or need to be hand fed. I raised my parrot as a baby and had to prepare special food and feed with a syringe as well as take care of a dog with diabetes. My pets are always the stars of our home. We are currently a pet free home since the recent passing of our beloved Brittany Spaniel Bailey. We are undecided on the next pet we will adopt, but I’m deeply missing the love and affection pets offer. For now we are looking to spoil your pets. Safety is always the most important thing I consider when watching all animals. I hope I can be fortunate enough to care for your pet. I’m currently working from home and will be home all day M-F to walk and care for pets in my home. On the weekends I would never be away from a pet in my care for more than a few hours. I have a fenced in yard, but I provide 3 walks per day for exercise. I try to establish a routine or stick to the pet owners routine in order to keep pets on schedule.

About: I use to work for a family friends dog walking business when I was younger. I have experience with dogs of all ages! I also had my own dog from 3 years old when I adopted her, through her senior years. I currently work as a nurse a few days a week, but my passion is animals. I would love to be involved and help out on my days off! I am not currently available to care for pets in my home, but respect that they need to be trusting in a person to care for the in their own home. Introductions are important, as well as just being open and fun with them!
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and truly love them more than anything. As a kid, I volunteered at shelters and even donated my lemonade stand money to Save-A-Pet. That same passion has followed me into adulthood—I’ve worked with and supported the Laguna Beach Animal Sanctuary in California, and my family has been housing and walking dogs through Rover for several years. Because of that, I’ve learned how to adapt to all kinds of personalities—from shy rescues to high-energy pups—and make each one feel comfortable and cared for. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or endless belly rubs, I’m happy to do whatever your pet needs to feel happy and at home. I also have a flexible schedule, so I can give your pets the consistent attention they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I love staying active and spending time outdoors. I make it a point to get at least 10,000 steps a day, so walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures with pets easily become part of my rhythm. I also have a very flexible schedule, which means I can give pets my full attention and adjust to their needs without rushing or cutting corners. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space and routines with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure each pet feels comfortable and secure by keeping their normal feeding, walking, and play schedules consistent. I give lots of affection and attention, but I also pay close attention to any special instructions; whether that’s medications, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. During overnight stays, I make sure the home stays tidy and that pets feel calm and cared for throughout the night.
“Lindsey was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and she matched our needs perfectly. Lindsey came over so we could meet before which was perfect. She bonded almost immediately with our two dogs. They loved her! We will use her again. I really appreciate her daily updates and pictures. We could be at ease knowing that they were being cared for. Thank you Lindsey!”

About: I treat your dog(s) as my own. Being attentive to their needs and giving them companionship. I am a very energetic person who loves to go for runs and be out doors. Your dog(s) will get the exercise they need. I am a reliable and loyal person. You will feel comfortable knowing that I am your dog(s) sitter. During home stays, I will Store your mail while you are away and give your house a cleaning (nothing like coming home to a clean home after a vacation!) I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years now and I find it very enjoyable. I have experience working at a dog daycare with small, medium and large dogs. I hope to make this a full time career. I look forward to working with you!
“Gwendolyn went above and beyond to help us in a bind with our best boy! She gave him a good walk, refilled his bowl with fresh water and even gave him some snackies to hold him over until we got home. On top of that she spent time after the walk to love on him for a while! 10/10 and will be using her again!!”

“Rachel was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover for pet care and we will definitely reach out to Rachel in the future. She was quick to reply as soon as I entered our request and she set up an in person meeting before our trip. She arrived for services at the times we requested and provided pictures, comments and maps of her walks with our pet. Great experience!”
