About: I am lifelong dog owner with over 40 years experience with 8 dogs and breeds from Terrier mixes to labs, German short hairs, pit bulls, bully breeds and many mixed breeds. I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks and studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard with a cabin like interior that is very welcoming to dogs. I offer both a fun and safe environment for my pet guests, and will treat them like family. I have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dog(s) along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of TLC

Elisa is truly caring nature, and I felt totally at ease leaving my baby with her. She treats your dog like it’s part of her own family, and on top of that, her home is spotless! Dorota was such a wonderful sitter for our puppy! She was very communicative providing regular updates and photos, and I know our pup was well loved and taken care of. This was our first time leaving her for a few days and I was confident the entire time she was in great hands with Dorota!
Yolanda and her Husband are great. Hunter felt right at home and loved. They asked for suggestions when needed and assisted when I suggested hand feeding cuz hunter wouldn't eat. I was able to go camping and know hunter was being cared for like he was home with his momma. They even provided picture updates. Will definitely recommend and return.
I left my little Boston Terrier / Beagle mix dog with Gwen during a week-long vacation. She has two large dogs at home, and my elderly and cranky Lucy has a history of being randomly reactive with other dogs. But during our meet and greet, it was clear that Gwen and Jake have an excellent handle on how to manage dog behavior and introducing dogs to one another. After the visit, I felt confident in leaving Lucy at their home for a week. During my vacation, I received many pictures, videos and updates. She described how they were gradually introducing the dogs to one another, always under supervised conditions. I was able to see how the dogs were interacting with videos and pictures, and it was clear that Lucy became fast friends with Earl and Saber. I think that this is due to the careful and attentive process that Gwen and Jake followed in order to make Lucy comfortable in their home and with their dogs. In addition, Gwen kept me informed about her eating habits and antics. I would definitely leave Lucy in her care again!
