“We appreciated the updates letting us know our dog was having a fun time during his stay! Great communication. It always means a lot to know our dog is being well cared for. Already booked a second stay!”

“Jacob was exceptional. He took in our 9 week old puppy Stella for a few days and took incredible care of her. From the initial meet and greet through pickup, he asked great questions, adhered to our requested schedule, gave her lots of exercise and snuggles, all while keeping us in the loop with daily status updates via pics and videos. We felt immediate trust and comfort with him and he did not disappoint. Stella will absolutely see him again soon.”

“Megan was very welcoming and accommodated some last-minute travel plans and made Copper feel right at home. He also got along well with her three pups. He enjoyed having a fenced in backyard where he could run around and play. Thank you!”

“Byron and Martha were great hosts and took great care of our Yorkie boys! They sent daily pictures and messages to let us know how the boys were doing, so we didn't have to worry during our trip. I highly recommend them, and I'll be bringing the boys back whenever my wife and I travel again.”

“Angela & David were the perfect hosts. We had never left Gladys with anyone so we were nervous about how she would react. She had a great time with them (even falling asleep on David’s lap) which allowed us to relax and have a great time while we were away. They were super accommodating and worked with our friend to arrange pick up when we could not make it. Thank you for making her feel loved in our absence.”

“My pet had spent the fantastic days in her house because I felt he didn’t want to go back home with me. I appreciated about what I could get good travel due to her care.”

“I highly recommend Rusty. Benny stayed with him while I was away, and I couldn’t have been happier with the care he provided. He sent me pictures and updates every day, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I was especially nervous because Benny has a history of resource guarding, but he handled him very well and everything went smoothly. Benny was well cared for, safe, and happy during his stay. I would def trust him to watch Benny again.”

“I was traveling overseas and my return flight was canceled and rebooked for the following day. My heart sank into my stomach as I would not be able to pick up my fur baby on time. Chisato went above and beyond to take care of my baby for the additional day. He's a needy baby to say the least. I wish I could leave a review greater than 5 stars.”

“Francine is very professional, a true dog lover and immensely kind with every one and every special needs. I had my little one taken care for 4th July weekend in a very short notice Francine was very eased very much our meet and greet appointment at her place. I received plenty of photos and I was relaxed and very happy during my dog’s stay. I would definitely book her again!”
“You want a second review? I already told you she was great with my dog, he had a fun time with her dogs and since he was recently adopted I was worried how he would do. He was fine when I picked him up!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve had the joy of raising two dogs from puppies, giving me firsthand experience with everything from potty training and basic training to the high energy and patience that young dogs require. I have been dog sitting for friends & family in Michigan & Illinois for 3 years now. In my professional life, I’m an Occupational Therapist who works with older adults. I regularly help residents safely care for and enjoy time with their beloved pets, so I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behavior, adapting to individual needs, and providing calm, attentive care. I’m also comfortable with senior dogs who may need a slower pace. Because I’m young and active, I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and adventures that help energetic dogs stay happy and engaged. Whether your pup wants a long walk, a game of fetch, or just lots of cuddles and companionship, I’ll tailor my care to their personality and routine. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re safe, loved, and having a great time while you’re away! I work a normal 9-5 Monday-Friday. Therefore I prefer to do Friday afternoon-Sunday evening stays! This way I am available 24/7 for the pet. I have a fenced in yard (that is also dig proof). I currently have one very friendly dog who would be eager to any pups companion. My dog is allowed on furniture/in beds. We have a lot of sidewalks & trails within our neighborhood for walks. I have multiple security cameras.

“Stella and her family hosted my Nora (border collie/husky) for 27 days, and I could not be happier. Nora was clearly very happy and integrated well with the family. I received frequent text updates, and never had to worry about my dog's well-being. Stella's fenced back yard is a huge asset. There were a few bumps early on a Nora acclimated to their home, but Stella and her family were very patient with her. I appreciate that so much!”
“Mary and Norman were wonderful. They sent photo updates each day and let me know how things were going. I could tell that my dog was very comfortable with them and will definitely use them again!”

“Anna was super kind and accommodating. She did take pictures (which I so appreciate) including on walks. My dog was a bit high energy and Anna managed well - I know because he came back tired. Also, super helpful when we had to cut the trip short. TY Anna!”

“Gage is amazing! This was only my second time using Rover and now I know I have a reliable dog watcher whenever I need. He took my dog on walks and to the dog park everyday and she got along so well with his dog at home. He responds immediately to messages and sends picture updates each day. I highly recommend him to watch your pup!”

“Elaina and Joseph V. were absolutely amazing with my dog during his stay from July 1 through July 5. They kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear they genuinely cared for him and treated him like part of their own family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I really appreciated their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail throughout the entire boarding experience. I would absolutely trust them to watch my dog again and highly recommend Elaina and Joseph V. to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitters.”

“Christy communicated really well. I had a family emergency at the end of Kali's stay and needed to extend her stay. Christy accommodated and wished us well. She even let me pick up Kali for a "sleep over one night since I was going through Kali withdrawal. It meant she had to get up an hour early the next day so I could drop her off again on my way back to the hospital. AMAZING team her and her daughters.”

“Dee is incredibly responsive and reliable. She was warm and welcoming at the meet and greet and again when we dropped off Stella at Dee's home. It was nice to get consistent communication and photos while were away, and we appreciate that Dee gave Stella so much attention.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Third Lake
Our dog had another wonderful stay — truly like a little vacation! We received daily photos showing our dog happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoying her “vacation.” The communication was excellent, the home environment is warm and safe, and our dog comes back calm and content every time. We’re grateful to have found such a reliable and caring sitter.

Thank you to Jacob: Your considerate, kind, attentive care of Maddy along with little doggie friends who visited during the week she boarded were appreciated. She was well cared for and we were kept well informed. Many good communications, quick responsiveness and pictures. Highly recommend.

Kim took really good care of my dogs. She constantly provided me with videos of them playing in her yard and updates on their feeding schedule and esting habits. My 2 dogs seem to have had a great time staying at her home for a few days. I will definitely book her again in the future.

Our experience was wonderful. Our dog had the best time staying with Jordan, getting lots of love, interactions, and playtime. Jordan made it really easy for us to have a relaxing vacation, knowing that our dog was taken care of. Our pup (and family) is so glad to have found a new friend!

Yolanda and her Husband are great. Hunter felt right at home and loved. They asked for suggestions when needed and assisted when I suggested hand feeding cuz hunter wouldn't eat. I was able to go camping and know hunter was being cared for like he was home with his momma. They even provided picture updates. Will definitely recommend and return.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
