“Sam was great! Even my shy cat warmed up to her and came out to visit and my bolder cat climbed her by the end. If I wasn’t moving out of the area I would absolutely use her again the next time I needed a sitter. I’m thrilled.”

“Brittany was amazing! Our pup is a little high maintenance, and Brittany came through with flying colors. We would 100% recommend Brittany, as she will adapt to your dog's needs. She will do everything to make both you & your pup feel safe and provide timely updates.”

“Guadalupe did 2 dropin visits. I contacted her right away when i found out our sitter we had planned would not be in our home for the duration we expected during the holiday due to work obligations. Very professional and responsive and scheduled meet and greet which was needed 2 days prior to our travels. Sent pics, and reported any behaviors. For example our dog was little nervous coming out of crate first day since they had only met 1 time. She handled the situation well. She provided details on actions she had taken and followed my instructions. By the end of the visit our dog was laying on his back for a rub like he does for our family.members.”

“I read reviews for Haley before we booked our visit and they all seemed to be sparkling, as were her Visits with our two cats. She represents your company very well and is well-spoken, professional and w we’ll be very happy to ask for Haley in the future. 👍💕”

About: I've lived with cats for most of my life, and I have experience sitting for both senior dogs and puppies! I'm comfortable around dogs of any size and can handle most medications and messes, provided some instruction. In case it's relevant, I also have some limited experience with a variety of other animals, ranging from birds and mice to horses and rabbits! I'm currently waiting for the growing season to start up again (I'm an environmental technician), so I have plenty of free time during the week to spend helping out with pet care. I have a rather skittish kitty of my own, so I can't board any animals, but I'm happy to come visit others. So long as the information is provided, I'm happy to help feed, play with, clean up after, and help give medications to your furry family members as needed.
“It was our first time using Rover and we were a little skeptical of the app, however, Hope was AMAZING. We hardly ever go on vacation, so leaving our cats and bird alone stressed us out. Hope was a perfect fit for us and we were able to have a stress free trip! At the meet and greet she was professional, sweet, and attentive. She asked a lot of questions to get to know us and to figure out our pets' needs. She updated us everyday with pictures and funny stories about our pets. She's hilarious and we can tell she enjoyed her time with our babies. The moment we came home from our trip we could tell our pets were well taken care of and loved. She's a true animal lover! We would without any hesitation rebook with Hope and highly recommend her!! Thank you Hope!!”

“Barbara did a great job! She took extra care in communications, and even checked on our cats extra when she had a concern. We'll definitely be booking her again!”

“Miranda - thank you so much! You did an incredible job and took wonderful care of the our dogs. Thank you for the constant communications and updates. So thankful for you.”

“Gwen is wonderful! She is very thorough, attentive and kind with my two shepherds. She communicates and is very reliable with bookings, which is much appreciated. I was initially nervous finding someone for drop-in visits, but I found the right person.”

“Sara was amazing with our two cats. One of them is very shy, and she completely won him over. Our boys were well-loved and taken care of while we were away. We got lots of photos of them to enjoy! Upon our return they are happy and healthy. I can tell they had good company and lots of love. We look forward to working with Sara again!”
“Chris is always amazing at handling our high energy puppy. He has been doing drop ins for us and is always flexible, on time and always shows us what a great time our puppy is having.”

“Our babies love Gage! Especially Finnegan. Gage took wonderful care of them while we were gone. He was attentive and friendly, making them comfortable around him. He was very respectful of our home. Sent plenty of pics for momma! We highly recommend him and will be using him again.”

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs almost my whole life! My personal pet care background is incredibly diverse. I currently manage a lively three-cat household with my sweet cuddle bug Lillie, and my sister’s rambunctious and silly littermate brothers, Scout and Sawyer. I am also the proud owner of a childhood calico named Luna, and a Shepherd/golden mix, Osa. Because Osa is a high-energy, reactive dog, I learned a lot from her and personally worked on training her. Additionally, I have experience with senior pets. I lovingly cared for my late childhood dog, Sisi, which included managing her daily medications. I have also administered short-term medications to cats. I specialize exclusively in house sitting at your home, drop-in visits, and neighborhood dog walks. I look forward to giving your pets the absolute best care! :) My schedule is very flexible this summer, which makes it easy to stick to whatever daily routine your pets are used to. Whether they need a mid-day drop-in visit, a walk, or someone to stay overnight to keep them company, I can easily accommodate their regular timing. Since I will be caring for your pets in your home, my main priority is keeping their environment safe and consistent. I am highly attentive to details like securing doors and gates, keeping dogs properly leashed during walks, and following your specific household instructions. I always send regular photo updates and check-ins so you have full peace of mind while you are away.
About: 16 years experience caring for my own dogs. Entrusted by family and friends to reliably care for, play with and love on their dogs, too! Most weekdays and some weekends I am available to provide for your pets needs, such as potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, feeding. Daylight hours are preferred I prefer to care for pets in their own home, or taking for walks, following the directions of the owners, I’d like to know makes their pet special and happy!
“Faith was a fantastic pet sitter! She communicated really well & kept our pets very well cared for while we were away. Faith went above & beyond by cleaning out food dishes & guinea pig crates. She even got our piggies a new water bottle! We will definitely be booking with Faith again in the future. Thanks Faith!”

“We had Swagata watch our puppy for multiple days while at work since she wasn’t old enough to be left alone all day. Swagata was very accommodating and helpful, she sent lots of pictures and our puppy was always happy and well cared for. We will absolutely have her care for our puppy again in the future.”

This was our first time having someone complete drop-in visits to check on my cat as previously we had left the cat at another person's house. Sam was able to visit our home to meet our pet, and we left some instructions for her before we left. We had booked her for every other day; however, our cat became anxious and she offered to check on him. We booked her for extra days, she checked in/out upon visit and provided updates and pictures of our cat. Would definitely be using her services again when needed.

Ayla was a great sitter for my dog and senior cat for a long weekend. She came for an interview before the booking where she was pleasant to talk to and my dog warmed up to her a bit. During the booking, she took great care of our babies. Her communication was excellent. Will definitely book again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
