Hello! My name is Sam; I’m an experienced petsitter and have worked with animals - including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small rodents - nearly my entire life. I volunteered at Save-A-Pet in Grayslake for over 6 years. Additionally, I worked as a dog handler at Central Bark doggy daycare in Grayslake, and was a stablehand at Shorewood Acres in Grayslake for 4 years. These experiences fine-tuned my ability to read dog and cat body language and behavior, ensuring that your pets are safe! I am Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid & CPR Certified. Additionally, I have my own 90lb GSD/staffy mix, who helped me learn so much more about dog training, enrichment, and nutrition. I can assure you, your pets will be safe with me as your pet sitter, dog walker, or drop-in visitor. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet. Thank you for your time and consideration!

I am huge on safety and comfort for every pet that I work with. To ensure the safety of both your pets and myself, I consistently monitor body language and behavior to assess how your pet is feeling! I follow all special instructions given to me to a T.

Sam was absolutely wonderful! We had her come by 3 times for drop in visits for breakfast & walks. The dogs seem to do great with her & I always felt comfortable + worry free when she was there! Sam was very communicative and patient, especially when we were having technical difficulties with the door. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone & everyone! This was my first time booking with Sam and she was fantastic. She was very attentive to my three cats and aware of their needs. I would definitely book her again.
This is the first time that my sweet old cat was in Sam's care and everything seems to have gone very well. I especially liked Sam's thoughtful questions when we met, and I really, really appreciated her daily reports. I will definitely book Sam again.
Sam was great! It was our first time leaving our fur babies with someone who wasn’t a family/friend so I was a little nervous but the nerves quickly settled! She followed all directions and was amazing with both our dog and cat. They definitely seemed to have really liked her! We definitely would book with Sam again!

Schedule
I currently WFH on a flexible schedule, so I am super flexible on bookings! I am able to make weekdays, nights, weekends, and mornings work to fit your needs. FOR OVERNIGHT CARE, PLEASE READ: If you are seeking overnight pet-sitting, please note that I can only stay overnight for clients whose pets are dog-friendly, as my own dog would need to come with so that he is cared for overnight as well. I would require a meet and greet (these are free!) before your set dates to make sure they get along; my pup has never met a dog that he doesn't like!
