“Rebecca is amazing! We are new to the are and this was our first time using Rover and she made it a great experience. Our animals love her and she is incredibly dependable. Thank you so much Rebecca for taking such great care of our animals.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was about 5 years old. And that was when I received my first pet, a chihuahua mix. I’ve cared for her since she was a puppy and she just recently passed away due to old age. I have the patience to deal with puppies and elder dogs! I love them all! I’m currently working part time at a restaurant so I have some down time! I’m available mostly in the afternoons from 2pm - 8pm. I care for every pet as if they were my own by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. In a client's home, I follow their pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of attention and affection.
“Chris is a dog lover! He is very caring, respectful, always prompt and helpful. My dogs love him. Mostly he just walks them, but on occasion has fed and walked them while I was away for the afternoon. Great communication about visits, dog behaviors etc. Great guy!”

“Brittany took great care of Zelda over the weekend while I was out of town! Zelda is reactive towards dogs and anxious around strangers, but Brittany did great with her and Zelda loves when Brittany stops by to walk her!”

“This was my first experience with River and I must say it was great. The entire process was easy and seamless. Bill was awesome with the dogs. Riggs and Gibson came back content and obviously exercised. Thanks so much for your help today while I recover from my foot ailment.”

“Malachi was great with my pup (that is the important thing) and very eager to provide me with great service. I would recommend him to anyone. We had a few technical glitches, and there are a few thoughts I think I will share with him privately, but those don’t lower his star rating because he really did provide great service. He was very communicative, respected my property, and took great care of of my dog. You should book him and see for yourself.”

I am home nearly around the clock, and committed full time to giving great care and attention to my highly -valued dog guests. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach and style that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs and their pet parents. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.
“Kayla was a warm, very reliable and punctual dog walker. She quickly became besties with our dog who can be a real stinker about who she likes and trusts. She was a pleasure to work with and we would no hesitation working with Kayla again.”

“Gyula walks my two Labs regularly, and I highly recommend him for your dog's needs. He has years of experience working with all types of dogs and has the skills to manage them competently and with a great attitude. Gyula is prompt, attentive to the dogs at all times, and naturally works with them as he's walking them, which has improved both of my dogs leash manners. If you need someone to take care of your dog, I'm confident you and your dog will be happy with the services Gyula provides.”

About: Hello! I'm Sarah ♡ I am currently on Rover to assist in my weight loss journey. Being able to walk dogs a few times a week will be a great way for my to stay active and have fun while doing it. A little about me, I am currently back in college as a computer science major with goals of being a software engineer in 2025. I had two beautiful dogs who were honestly my life so I completely understand how important an animal can be to somebody. I don't take that relationship lightly. I have volunteered regularly at animal shelters and anytime I'm around dogs I'm instantly happy. I absolutely love animals. I am a responsible, caring, and organized college student who wants to be able to lose weight doing something I love. Your pet's safety and comfort is my number one priority. Please reach out to me if you think I'd be a good fit! I'd love to meet you and your furry friend! I'm currently a full time student with a full time internship. I can commit 10-12 hours/week on pet care. Ideally I would like to be able to walk 5 days a week for 30 minutes minimum since a huge reason for my return to Rover is to aid in my weight loss efforts. Safety is a huge priority for me. I want to always maintain the safety and integrity for your pet as well as myself. Always know that when I'm in the care of an animal it's with genuine love and care. In terms of dog/house sitting- I'm currently have no availability for that. I adored pet sitting in the past and found it so much fun! However, unless the dog is not incredibly active I don't have the time to properly pet sit. Being a full time student with an internship prevents this unfortunately.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Round Lake Beach
Kayla was very understanding of our rules and expectations. She handled the dogs with care and very open lines of communication. When there were any changes Kayla was very flexible and understanding. I would highly recommend her for n trust with your animals. Her care allowed my wife and I to have a stress free weekend. She even went above and beyond and fed our cat out of her own kindness. Thanks for everything. Will definitely hire again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
