About: My passion is taking care of animals. I've always had animals in my house growing up and currently still have a house full. I understand each animal has their own identity and quirks. I currently have a wide range of animals from 2 cats and a dog to multiple reptiles! About: I am a lifelong dog parent, with over 4 decades of experience with many different breeds; ranging from Terriers to Labs, Shepherds, Huskys, Bully Breeds, Hounds, Herding dogs, Sporting and Working breeds, Toy groups, and many mixed breeds. I am home nearly around the clock, and committed full time to giving great care and attention to my highly -valued dog guests. I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks; studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people, which has been an invaluable learning experience for me. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach and style that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs and their pet parents. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.
About: I've had dogs since I was 8 until I moved out and went to college. When I moved back home my family had 2 dogs until I moved out again. This time I got a cat as I was living in an apartment. After I met my husband another cat was adopted. That led to 3, then 4. Once there were 6 but now it's down to 4. Chloe & Charlie are Aunt & Nephew and Cosmo & CJ are brothers. I've also had gerbils, hamsters and Guinea pigs. I work full time but have my evenings available after 4:30. My weekends are fairly good to for taking care of your furkids. I will work with you on caring for your precious animals. At this time I do not bring other animals into my home. But at your home, I will play, feed and pick up after. For doggos I will walk them and feed as needed.
About: So let's be realistic, we have pretty busy schedules as adults. I don't though so don't feel bad when you schedule me haha. I've been a papa to the biggest of fluffers and smallest of small dogs. I'm very familiar with the feisty kittens and old grumpy cats, and at one point even a gold fish I kept for 2 years. I have been in customer service for years now, and every time when making someone's day easier or allowing them to feel less stress it brings me the most joy. I've been a mix of animals owner most of my life from fostering animals in need or assisting family and friends with taking care of their animals. I also supply baggies for bathroom time and long sleeves if it's chilly outside. I go on a lot of walks!! Anytime I'm not home baking or hanging out with a friend I'm normally just out and about exploring my neighborhood. My set preference schedule is actually just for when I have to either go to the gym or when I schedule appointments because Mondays work easier. Your pets are the number one priority. If they require something and I am attending them I make sure it happens. Not only is your space respected when I watch them but also the pets space. Feeding times, walk routes, and any medical requirements and boundaries will be discussed because all situations are different. If something happens like say something fell or they went potty by accident I will clean it up no problem. A work space is better when it's clean but also when it's fun!!! I do bring things like cleaning baggies and lint rollers but I can also make sure any particular scents are avoided.
About: I've lived with cats for most of my life, and I have experience sitting for both senior dogs and puppies! I'm comfortable around dogs of any size and can handle most medications and messes, provided some instruction. In case it's relevant, I also have some limited experience with a variety of other animals, ranging from birds and mice to horses and rabbits! I'm currently waiting for the growing season to start up again (I'm an environmental technician), so I have plenty of free time during the week to spend helping out with pet care.
