“Renea and her family are the best! Everyone was so kind and welcoming to my pup Nya and made her feel right at home. It was my first time using this service and the pictures she sent throughout the day let me know that Nya was being loved and having a great time. I highly recommend her for daycare or overnights. Thank you Renae!”

“Kathryn & Matt Took great care of Charlie. Charlie was always excited when we pulled up to their house. They have a nice setup for your pet to play in the backyard or go on walks in a nice neighborhood.”

About: I have had pets for most of my life. My family and I currently have one very playful dog, two cats and a bearded dragon. I, along with my family, have cared for family, friends and neighbors pets for several years now. I work from home, usually only leaving during the day for a few minutes in the afternoon for school pickups (most days I take my dog with me) or the occasional quick errand. I take breaks throughout the day for indoor and outdoor pet play time and daily walks. While I am usually home, if I need to be away for a time there is almost always at least one family member home. When working, my office door is always open. I have a fenced yard for outdoor play time and potty breaks and plenty of sidewalks, trails and parks near my home for daily walks and places to explore.

“Angie and her family are wonderful. They genuinely love dogs! My puppy Samson was loved by Angie and her family... even better he came home and slept all night! That’s the sign of a good daycare! Thanks Angie! We will be back!”

About: Our experience includes dog sitting several dogs at a time from family friends to dog breeders. We have a loving home for dogs and always excited to meet new fur friends! Our two dogs: BlackJack and JoJo (Catahoula Leopard Dog & German Shepard) also love to say "hi" or play - both are very friendly! If your dog is active and likes to play, then they will love our 0.5 acre fenced yard. Or if they prefer hanging out, we have a huge deck for them to use. We have plenty of dog beds in the house for them to relax in. Work from home, so we are always watching your dog. Our dogs go for walks in the morning and the evening. Since we are working from home, we can do as many potty breaks as needed, especially if they are puppies. We have a fenced yard. Our backyard is over 0.5 acre. They are always supervised when the dogs are in the backyard. Dogs are welcome on the couch or if they are crate-trained, then we have some available for both small and bigger dogs.

“Gwendolyne was amazing! I was in a pinch, just visiting the area and had a show to attend, and was originally planning to leave my dog at the place I was staying while I was gone, but there was a lot of noise and commotion, so the day of the show I was scrambling to try and find a less stressful situation for my dog. Not only was the request last minute, but the hours were late, and I was losing hope I’d find anyone to take my dog. Gwendolyne was so sweet and communicative. She took such good care of my dog and I felt at ease while I was away. I’m so grateful that we found her! Definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, getting “my” first puppy when I was 16. In 2022, our family began fostering pups through a national rescue. We’ve helped friends who just need a safe place to wait for their forever homes, but we also had medical cases who needed medicine administered, regular vet checks, and a high attention to their condition, health, and wellness. Our family will treat your furbaby as our own, following your specifics for their care, and adding all the love and attention we can! I’m a full-time homeschooling Mama of four who also works from home. Since I’m home a lot and my schedule is flexible, I’m available at all different times and can work with your schedule. Our pets are like our kids, able to run amuck wherever they like! They can snuggle on the couch, cuddle on pet beds throughout the house, and hang out in our backyard. The yard isn’t huge, it’s a woodchip area, but we have a community green space nearby and are up for walks there as well!

About: Hi! I’m Ana — a compassionate and experienced caregiver specializing in senior pets and those with medical needs. I’ve lovingly cared for my own aging dogs and cats, including blind, diabetic, and mobility-challenged companions. I’m confident administering insulin, oral meds, supplements, and supporting pets on specialized diets or comfort routines. I understand that aging pets need a little extra time, patience, and tenderness — and I provide just that. Whether it’s help with stairs, gentle walks, or a calm lap to rest on, I’m here to offer steady, attentive care while you’re away. I treat every pet like family, and I’ll keep you updated with notes, photos, and peace of mind:) Caring for animals is already woven into my daily life. As a lifelong pet parent (including senior and special-needs animals), I’m used to early mornings, meal prep, medication routines, walks, cleanups, and cuddle time. My days are structured around care — whether it’s my own pets or yours — so showing up reliably and compassionately is second nature to me. I build my schedule with flexibility to give each pet the attention and calm presence they deserve. Whether it’s a drop-in visit, an overnight stay, or a daily walk, I integrate pet care smoothly into my week, keeping communication open and routines consistent for peace of mind — yours and theirs 🐶🐱💛 In my client’s home, I focus on maintaining your pet’s familiar routine — meals, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and medications — with as little disruption as possible. I respect your space, keep things clean and organized, and always follow your instructions carefully. I bring a calm, grounded presence and take the time to build trust, especially with older or shy pets. In my own home, I provide a quiet, cozy space and a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time and potty breaks. Pets are always supervised and treated like family. I’m mindful of their energy levels and comfort, especially for seniors or those with medical needs, and I make sure their days are calm, enriched, and consistent. Whether I’m visiting or hosting, your pet’s well-being is always my top priority — and I’ll keep you updated every step of the way 💛🐾

“Kathryn was so sweet and accommodating! Our dog, Cocoa, took to her right away (and Cocoa doesn't like most strangers)! Kathryn is super-responsive, and though we only had one doggie day care day with her, I can see why she has so many repeat clients. We would definitely use Kathryn again if we are ever in the Escondido area!”

About: I have taken care of my dog since I was in college, living with my brother. My brother has relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe the dog while he’s at work. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your puppies! My schedule is flexible for any kinds of services from Monday to Sunday. I have a fenced yard to keep your fur baby company. I also can play the ball with your puppies and have some treats if needed.

About: Cat owner for 13 years, adult and senior with and without dietary restrictions and post-medical care. Dog experience too but not my own. Being patient, kind and understanding is most important I work from home and set my own schedule for activities and obligations. I don’t overload my schedule so I can give myself and any obligations a fair and dedicated amount of time I introduce myself to animals with trust and kindness and let them introduce themselves and have fun at their own pace! Do they like walks, fetch, cuddling? If your dog is present for doggy day care with me, cats will be restricted to a room for the duration and the dog will have run of the house with supervised time in my backyard in addition to walks

About: Growing up in the country, my environment was filled with dogs, which gave me hands-on experience with different breeds early on. I have cared for everything from small, high-energy breeds like Chihuahua's to larger, and stronger breeds like Rottweilers and Pit-bulls. This exposure taught me how to adapt to the unique needs of each dog, including their exercise routines, feeding habits, and personality quirks. My ability to connect with dogs of all sizes and temperaments ensures they feel secure and cared for under my supervision. I have demonstrated and learned all these factors through the San Diego Humane Society and my Dad (dog trainer). Rounded up I have five years of experience with various sizes and breeds, making knowledge, communication, and compassion key skills of mine! These skills have been used to care for all types of dogs, whether it be seniors, new borns, or behavior challenged dogs! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine, my flexible schedule allows me to prioritize the needs of the animals in my care. As a graduated student, I have the freedom to manage my time efficiently, ensuring I can provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I schedule feeding times, walks, and play sessions around my coursework, giving each pet the structure they need while staying on top of my responsibilities. My ability to balance these tasks ensures that pets always feel cared for, even during busy periods. Having free weekends also allows me to dedicate more time to pets, who need consistent attention or engagement. I use my time for exercise, mental stimulation, or grooming, depending on the pet’s needs. My focus on time management ensures that pets are always prioritized, with plenty of quality time and attention incorporated into my routine. Whether it’s providing a calm and nurturing environment during the week or engaging in more active care on weekends, I ensure that pet care fits seamlessly into my lifestyle, allowing me to meet the needs of every animal I care for. Caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home, revolves around creating a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment that fosters trust and well-being. Safety is my top priority, which includes securing the living space to prevent accidents, removing hazardous items, and ensuring pets have access to fresh water and appropriate food for their dietary needs. I carefully monitor their behavior to identify any signs of distress or illness and address them promptly. For outdoor activities, I use secure leashes or harnesses and supervise them closely to protect them from potential dangers like traffic. Building trust with pets is essential to providing effective care. I take time to understand their unique personalities, preferences, and routines. By approaching them gently, respecting their boundaries, and offering positive reinforcement, creating a sense of security and reliability. Whether it’s maintaining consistency in feeding schedules, spending quality time playing, or offering soothing companionship during quiet moments, I ensure they feel valued and cared for. The environment I provide is clean, stimulating, and adapted to their specific needs. I offer comfortable resting areas, engaging toys, and plenty of space to explore. If I’m in a client’s home, I respect their established routines and follow their care instructions precisely, maintaining a seamless transition for the pet. Ultimately, my approach combines attentiveness, compassion, and professionalism to ensure every pet thrives under my care.

Gwendolyne S.

Amanda & Mandee F.
“What an honor to share my experience about Amanda’s nurturing dedication to not only her family and pets but to animals who aren’t hers as well. My experience and knowledge of Amanda’s level of dedication and responsibility go back several years to when I was working in rescue. Many of you may not know that rescue is a fast paced heart wrenching journey that often doesn’t come with a lot of answers when placing a dog but rather lots of questions and unknowns. As a rescue coordinator I felt relief when Amanda and her family were caring for one of our dogs. I knew that she would be watchful and communicate any and all information to us that would help us get to know and care for the dogs we were responsible for. From feeding special diets, quiet decompression time, to walks with the whole crew and let’s face it…all the kids are so gentle and caring as well. Not every dog is easy and many had some interesting challenges…we walked them together and was I grateful. Come time to find a very special unique girl a home (little did we know she was already home), and this pup wasn’t going to be easy to care for. Amanda knew what the challenges were and was willing to walk that journey no matter what to make her officially theirs! If you’re looking for someone who will love your pup when you’re not available, give great feedback to what she’s observing and know she can be trusted with making your pup a priority…she’s that and so much more.”
