About: Newly back on Rover again--get in touch! :) I have experience volunteering and fostering with One Tail at a Time rescue, and have an immense soft spot for the little ones who are sensitive and reactive and who just need a little more help getting adjusted to this strange cohabitation with our species :) I have taken care of pets for 4 years now, which include many housesitting and drop-in gigs, as well as extensive experience being a core volunteer at a volunteer-run cat cafe (The Kitty Crib). I also have a dog of my own; he is a 7-year-old pitbull named Linton. He is an anxious pitbull, so I have a soft spots for these silly guys who just need a lot of love and encouragement :) I value open and honest communication! Please feel free to tell me about your pets' quirks and anxieties. Outside of petsitting, I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois, and I also teach undergraduates. I live with my partner of many years, and together we also have two pet snails, a pet fish, and a pet tortoise. I have lots of availability to hang out with your pets while I read and grade :) Let me know if there is any question you have or if there is anything that could be helpful! I am the owner of a very energetic pitbull so I don't mind being stampeded by your friendly giants/littles :) I deeply care about animals' relationships with humans as cohabitors of the home and about their happiness. I believe that each animal has different temperaments and needs--I prioritize curiosity and patience in their care!

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I once had dreams of being a vet and spent two summers as an intern at a vet clinic, but learned quickly that that is not necessarily the career to choose just because you love animals, haha. That being said, I love both dogs and cats and have been a volunteer at animal shelters since 2017. I currently have a sweet but shy 6 year old cat named Rhiannon. I work remotely on weekdays, so I am home throughout the day for companionship and frequent potty breaks, if needed. I love to go on evening walks in my local park as well. I live in a single family home with an unfenced yard, but any bathroom breaks would be under my full watch and care. I have one sweet but shy cat, but she has her own room if your pet is not okay with other animals.

About: I’ve taken care of my dog who went through a traumatic hoarding situation at a young age. She is skiddish and stand off-ish when on walks and I’ve learned how to safely deal with these situations in over a decade of having her. I also take care of my cat who has food allergies; having to deal with frequent vomiting in the past and medication. I have also been a dog, chicken, and bird sitter for my neighbors whenever they go out on trips. I enjoy spending time with animals and will take as much time out of my schedule to be with them. I am a student at the university. My class schedule is late mornings and early evenings. I will have time every morning, lunch time, and evening to take care of your pets. On the weekends I am available for around the clock care! I work as a research assistant in a lab where safety is my number one concern. I will follow any procedure you have left me to a tee. When taking care of the pets I will make sure to match their energy so they do not feel intimidated. Making sure they get their necessities then providing enrichment when possible. If out on a walk or playing in a yard or park your pet would never be unsupervised and always on leash unless in a secure fenced in area.

About: I have always loved pets and grew up in a house full of various animals. This includes dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, and fish. My love for pets has only grown through the years. My experience in pet care is from having my own pets, pet sitting for family, friends, and taking on pet sitting jobs and volunteer work during my youth. My main option on here is dog walking and drop-ins but I also do house sitting. I’m currently between jobs so have a lot of free time on my hands. It would be my pleasure to spend it looking after your furry friends and provide outstanding care while you are busy or away!! I'm willing to do additional other tasks if requested. I have years of experience caring for pets and currently care for my own 3 year old stubborn but adorable beagle. I will treat your furry kiddos as if they were my own. I'm very good at following specific instructions so you can be sure that your pet will receive the care and attention exactly as you request. I was the primary caretaker of my dog, Aiden, for 16 years until he passed away in 2025. I have frequently helped my friends by sitting and walking their dogs of all sizes for the last 5 years. I truly love cats and I get along really well with all the cats that I meet. What I lack in feline caretaking experience I make up with a pure heart and a positive attitude! I recently graduated from UIUC and I am taking some personal time to search for the right career. That means I have a LOT of availability every day of the week. My schedule is highly flexible. I am fit for long walks and active play time so if your dog has a lot of energy I will do my best to tire them out. Most importantly, I deeply care about treating your pet with the level of respect they deserve and I will work hard to follow your instructions as exactly as possible.

About: I have had all kinds of pets since I was a kid. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and bunnies. I see them as the family members. I’m currently working part time, so I am very flexible. I can do drop-in visits of 30min or more. I can work around your schedule. Im leaving in an apartment with my two lovely cats. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 6 years. If not my own, family’s or friends. I love all types of animals and caring for them. I have a dog of my own whom I trained as well. Pet care fits into my daily life because I’m majoring in Animal Sciences and would love to be able to be around more pets! About: Hello! I’m a first year veterinary student with 3 years experience as a veterinary assistant at a small animal general practice. I’m skilled in safe animal handling, physical restraint, preventative care, and administering medications. I’m Fear Free Certified and always prioritize low-stress, compassionate care. Moreover, I’m comfortable with sitting for senior pets with medical needs. I have personal experience managing chronic illness in my own dog for 2+ years, including giving at-home subcutaneous fluids and consistent oral medications. I have experience with bathing and would be more than happy to offer baths or nail trims upon request for an additional charge. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priority. As a student, I attend classes during the weekday, but my schedule allows me to run home during lunch breaks and between classes for potty breaks, feedings, and check-ins. My evenings are completely free, so your pet will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship during the evening hours and will not be left alone. My home is a townhome with no pets and no children, providing a calm and controlled environment. There is plenty of space for pets to move around comfortably, and I can easily accommodate crates or set up separate areas if needed. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s established routines and household rules, including furniture access and sleeping arrangements, to help them feel at home.

About: One of my earliest memories was at the age of five. My mom brought my sister home from the hospital after she was born and I asked, "Can we have a kitten instead?!" Our parents started us with goldfish like most do. We then graduated to hamsters, followed by kittens. Currently, I have two dogs of my own that I consider to be my fur babies. Our pets can be much like our children, so I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to provide the care your animals need. My experience with animals comes from having my own as well as taking care of friends and family members pets as well. I love animals so much, I paint them on canvas as another passion of mine.
