She sent regular photos, with heartwarming and hilarious descriptions of how Autumn was getting along with the cats and chickens. Nothing makes me happier than dogs I've cared before, coming back and pulling on their leash to come into my house on their next visit! I only work half-time so I have plenty of time for pets. I know how important your pet is to you and I'm very responsible. My dog guests are walked at least three times a day including a walk or hike of 30 minutes or longer. They are also able to use my fenced in backyard when the chickens are locked up for the night .

“She was very kind and very accommodating! I was having surgery that day. The time I was going to be let out of the hospital depended on things going as planned. She fine with my being later than I had planned. My brother, who wasn’t so sure about leaving “our” Charlie with someone he didn’t know, picked Charlie up for me and was very pleased with Aratrika and the way she treated our little girl!!! I will definitely be bringing Charlie to Aratrika whenever I need a sitter. Thank you so much taking such good care of my little one!”

“Ryan was our first time using Rover and he was awesome! Our silken windhound Maverick loved playing with his border collies. I loved getting updates with pictures of them playing together. It’s so hard to find someone who will do daycare for a non-neutered show dog, even when they have zero behavioral problems. 100% recommend Ryan if you want your pup to have a great day!”

“Huxley had such a good time at daycare playing with other pups and Feiran was amazing and so communicative! She updated with videos and took such cute pics of huxley . He will definitely be coming back to see her!”

“Excellent communication, flexible with pickup. I needed help while visiting Champaign as a guest lecture. Sarah made my life so much easier by taking care of Caspian during my talk.”

About: I adopted Hanson, a retired guide dog, and he’s now an angel in heaven. He showed me how deep the bond with a dog can be and is the reason I started caring for pets. Over the years, I’ve looked after many dogs for friends and family. I give them lots of love and attention, and every pet I’ve cared for has grown really close to me. I treat each one like they’re my own. Pet care is part of my everyday life. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just spending quality time with them, caring for animals is something I naturally make time for. It’s not just a task—it’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to each day. I live alone, so pets get my full attention and a quiet, calm space to relax in. I make sure they feel safe and comfortable—whether that’s sticking to their routine, giving lots of playtime and cuddles, or just being nearby so they don’t feel alone. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow any instructions closely to keep things familiar for their pet.

About: Hi! I’m Bailey — I’ve worked in the vet field my entire career and am studying to become a veterinarian. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters and love all animals! With my experience and care, your pets will be in great hands for pet sitting. I am currently only working part time and have tons of time on my hands my main focus will be caring for pets and college! I have three cats and a snake myself, I have grown up with dogs, cats, reptiles, you name it. Caring for pets will always be my priority!
About: Animals are my passion and caring for them is my kind of fun! The quality of care and love I provide is reflected in my pricing. I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. I also have experience caring for exotic animals including guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and lizards. I am happy to learn the needs of whatever baby I am caring for! I will not board any exotic animal or cats for their safety, but I'm more than happy to provide stop ins! ***If I do not believe I can care for your pet properly for whatever reason, I may have connections to those who do have the ability and I will be happy to help you find a new care giver.*** I am currently caring for two dogs from my home three times a week M,T, Th. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

It would be my pleasure to spend it looking after your furry friends and provide outstanding care while you are busy or away!! I'm willing to do additional other tasks if requested. I try to provide the best care possible so very thorough instructions are always welcome. Updates will always be provided as well.
“I’m so grateful to have found Sarah and to have her walking my dog when I have long work days. My senior dog has gotten even more finicky as she’s aged, and Sarah totally follows her lead on whether she wants a longer walk or some extra belly rubs each day, and Sarah keeps me posted on how Ava is doing during the day. It’s such a relief and gives me so much peace of mind!”

Whether it’s a slow walk for an older pup or high-energy playtime for a young one, I meet animals where they are. I have two dogs of my own—Theo and Sage—so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. Beyond personal experience, I have a BA in animal science and I’m currently in the process of earning my master’s degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication, with a focus on companion animals. I also work as an assistant educator, so I bring a calm, thoughtful approach to every visit. I’m confident administering medications, caring for nervous or senior pets, and yes—I genuinely don’t mind deep-cleaning litter boxes. I treat every animal like family, with patience, care, and a whole lot of love I’m currently working full time until 3pm. However Whether it’s morning walks, meal times, or evening play sessions, I’m used to planning my day around pets’ needs. I live in a three-story townhouse with plenty of space for pets to feel comfortable—whether they want to play or have their own quiet area. My own dogs are friendly, but I can easily keep pets separate if needed. I also have some dog training experience, so I’m confident handling different temperaments and routines. Your pet will be safe, loved, and well cared for here or in your home! I do ask that your pet be crate trained and doesn't bark in the crate since I do live very close to neighbors.

I am not able to offer care in my own home, but I'm happy to do what it takes to meet your needs.

I also have experience caring for cats, including my own. Whether your cat is playful and social or more independent, I can make sure they’re well cared for with fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and attention tailored to their personality. As a college student, I’m looking for a way to earn money while doing something I naturally love. I would truly appreciate the opportunity to care for your pet whenever you need an extra hand. I’m currently on summer break from my university and work part-time, leaving my days and evenings fairly free for check-ins or overnights. I provide care for pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment while you’re away. During high school, I pet sat for both dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their normal schedule, including timely feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. I also have no problem following specific instructions to make sure your pet receives the care they’re used to. When staying in a client’s homes, I make it a priority to respect the space, keep the home secure, and communicate regularly so you can feel confident that both your pet and home are being well cared for.

“Rachel took care of our dog, Autumn, for the week between Christmas and New Years. She was wonderful! Her home is a warm, comfortable, friendly place for any pet, and she took Autumn on long engaging walks, and even hiking in nearby state parks. She sent regular photos, with heartwarming and hilarious descriptions of how Autumn was getting along with the cats and chickens. Rachel was super communicative, and we are so grateful she was able to accommodate pick up and drop off on holidays - not many folks can/will do that. It means the world to have found a sitter like Rachel; we will definitely reach out to her the next time we travel without our pup!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 5 years old. I have experience giving dogs pills, being consistent with training processes, and with senior dog care. I have also taken care of cats. I’m able to take care of dogs and cats in the mornings and evenings during the week and all day on weekends and holidays. I am a homebody so once I get done with work during the day, I am not leaving and play with my animals. I have a fenced in yard with a very friendly dog and cat. If needed, I have a room where I can separate my cat from other dogs to allow non-cat friendly dogs to stay. This room has his food, water, bed, toys, and litter box, while also being one I spend a large amount of time in so he is not lonely. My dog is fed once in the morning and is allowed to eat when he wants to and he runs outside in the backyard when he feels like it. I do adjust how often he gets fed and if he is free feeding when other animals are present. In clients' homes, I follow feeding and care instructions.
