About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals with a variety of cats and dogs. I’ve learned a lot through fostering pets and volunteer work. I am very passionate about working with and caring for animals! I am a college student currently in Champaign. I have class during the day but have plenty of time to work with animals in my free time! I am willing to come over and take care of your pets depending on their needs! About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, snakes, tarantulas, and horses. With my love and closeness to animals growing up, I continued into the veterinary medicine world after high school and have worked within clinic settings for the past 7 years! As my apartment is too small to accommodate any dogs or additional cats, I would be treating your home with the utmost respect! About: I have been around animals my entire life. I once had dreams of being a vet and spent two summers as an intern at a vet clinic, but learned quickly that that is not necessarily the career to choose just because you love animals, haha. That being said, I love both dogs and cats and have been a volunteer at animal shelters since 2017. I currently have a sweet but shy 6 year old cat named Rhiannon. I work remotely on weekdays, so I am home throughout the day for companionship and frequent potty breaks, if needed. I love to go on evening walks in my local park as well. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my entire life! My parents ran a dog foster care out of our home when I was five and now that they are empty-nesters are doing it again. I have taken care of dogs from 160 pounds down to 2 pounds as well as cats and rabbits. I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs, so I have two rabbits who I care for daily at home. I am a MA student at UIUC so I have classes during the week but am free before and after classes and happy to stay overnight with your fur babies. Aric was great with our dogs and they are not easy dogs. We have 2 older dogs, both with issues of their own. He was great about giving the medication to each of them. We loved getting the pictures for each visit. Made us feel better knowing they were getting taken care.
I thought Theresa was completely outstanding. She really went above and beyond taking care of my two larger dogs, who both need a little extra hand-holding. She even took the time to hand-feed my younger, anxious dog to make sure she was eating and was comfortable. She was also really aware of the fact that my dogs can be territorial around food and made sure the environment was safe and worked for what they each needed. I also thought she did a fantastic job gauging the safety of the environment and paying attention to the weather. We had a heatwave this weekend, and she was really tuned in to the dogs during their outdoor walks and made sure they were safe and comfortable. I loved the photo updates, too. And I don't know if this is just a normal Rover feature, but it was really fun being able to see the routes she took while walking them! Communication was absolutely perfect throughout the whole stay. I also really appreciated the time she took to come to our home beforehand, meet the dogs, and meet us as a family. She asked thoughtful questions and really took the time to understand our dogs and what they needed, which gave me a lot of confidence going into the weekend. My two dogs are very special and very beloved, but they are also high-care, high-anxiety dogs who need a lot of reassurance and attention. Theresa was wonderful with them, and I would absolutely have her care for them again. I highly recommend her!

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
