Hey everyone, my name is Aric. I am originally from Peoria, Illinois but live in Champaign, Illinois. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. We get along great. Currently, I have one dog and two cats of my own. I have extra space in my house and am able to keep Rover animals separate. Please read all of my profile and contact me before requesting a service. One important thing to know is that Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. If you can pay directly via Cashapp, Venmo, or Zelle, my rates will be lower than what is listed. Aric watched my guinea pigs again while I was out of town, and I’m so grateful I was able to get his help last minute for a weekend trip! He is incredibly trustworthy, dependable, and great with my guinea pigs. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands while I’m away. He’s also a great communicator and always makes things easy. I would absolutely recommend Aric to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets!
Aric truly went above and beyond! Not only did he save the day with my late request, he also took fantastic care of my crew (hound, buns, and fish tanks). Little touches like bringing my trash bin back from the curb and buying my dog another cup of yogurt when he ran out shows how much he cares.
Aric was absolutely wonderful with my guinea pigs! He is incredibly trustworthy, reliable, and a great communicator, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear that he genuinely loves animals and takes caring for them seriously. I felt completely comfortable knowing my guinea pigs were in his care, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!
CAT AND PLANT OWNERS LOOK NO FURTHER! I cannot say enough good thing a about Aric. It was my first time my kitty and I were using Rover and I hope I can always book with Aric while I live in CU. Aric not only refreshed the food and water for my kitty, but he also went above and beyond to clean the litter box everyday, send photos of their play interactions, AND water my collection of plants. I have plants that require humidity and others that are more finicky and don’t take tap water and ALL my plants were in good condition when I got back. Usually my cat loses a little weight while I’m gone (probably due to stress and worry), but when I got back this time I’m convinced he has a few extra pounds on his slim frame! :) If you are looking for someone to help watch your kittens and go above and beyond to help out with other more specific requests, like plant care, book with Aric... trust me!
Aric took care of the needs of our two cats while we were away from a month. He would drop in twice a week, replenish their food, water and litter and make sure everything is in order. He even volunteered to care for our plants, feed the fish and keep an eye for our pet snake! He was very responsive, helpful and professional. We truly felt at ease and glad that we had a responsible and smart person who is very attentive to the cat’s behavioral changes and monitoring closely their wellbeing. We encountered a problem with the snake, who escaped and got herself injured. Aric was very helpful and patiently located her and placed her back in her enclosure. We really appreciate him and all the work he put in! Would definite highly recommend him and definitely rebook with him in the future!
Aric was a great sitter for my cat. He was very attentive and communicative during the week. I loved the picture updates and his effort to do a great job. Thank you Aric.

Schedule
I take great care of my animals every day. I am very good with structed routines for me and my animals. Currently, my dog and two cats live with me. I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day.

Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. My profile accurately reflects services and prices. However, there may be some potential flexibility in order to meet the needs of my clients. Please read my entire profile including the introduction area where I mention how Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. Day Care and/or Boarding: All my animals are up-to-date on vaccines. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

A typical day
I have a fenced back yard for dogs to run around and exercise. For cats, I have a cat tree with a scratching post. It is my request that Rover animals have their own toys provided by their humans. I prefer not to provide toys for many reasons including scent, adjustment, germs, diseases, taste, size, safety precautions in case of potential choking, etc..
