About: I’ve owned both cats and dogs from a young age. I also have previously worked at a boarding and grooming facility, and have volunteered at local humane societies. I am currently part-time and have extensive availability. Just make sure to check with me about extended house visits or reoccurring appointments, and I will let you know my schedule ahead of time! About: I’ve had dogs (boxers) my entire life, and I have always loved them. I have cared for others’ dogs on multiple occasions, including walking and feeding. I spent a summer between college semesters working at a pet hotel where I took care of dogs of all sizes including cleaning up after them, feeding them and giving them water, playing with them, etc. I’m currently a full time graduate student looking to take care of pets during the open spaces of my week between, after, and before classes. I think pets respond best to patience and love, rather than aggressive behavior. Everyone has their own rules and routines for their dog, which I’m willing to follow.

About: My husband and I have a high energy 1 year old German shorthair pointer who LOVES other dogs. Dogs are meant to be apart of the family so they should be treated that way! We raised him from 8 weeks old so have experience with puppies and high energy dogs. I am huge on communication and will do my best to meet your pets’ needs and routine while you’re away. I respect the amount of trust that comes with leaving part of your family—and maybe your home—in my care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ve had dogs and cats (and a couple smaller critters here and there) since childhood and understand that pets are family. I currently have four small rescue dogs at home and am active in dog sitting for local friends and rescues. I know how it feels to leave your loved ones in someone else’s care, and I will do everything I can to give you peace of mind and make your fur babies as comfortable and happy as possible. My schedule is flexible, and I’ll do my best to work with you around my full-time day job. I’m generally free in the evenings and on weekends, so keep me in mind if you need a night away but want company for your furry housemates. For boarding and daycare services (in my home), we ask that all dogs be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and taking monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. We typically do not host pets from multiple households at the same time, but please let me know if you have more than one dog for boarding/daycare and I’ll get you a quote. For the safety of our pets and yours, we are not able to host large dogs, cats or (human) children in our home, but I’m happy to come to yours! My husband is my “sidekick” in all things pet care. He generally handles our crew at home while I’m at a booking but may join me at initial Meet & Greets, on walks or bring meals to me during overnights. I thought Theresa was completely outstanding. She really went above and beyond taking care of my two larger dogs, who both need a little extra hand-holding. She even took the time to hand-feed my younger, anxious dog to make sure she was eating and was comfortable. She was also really aware of the fact that my dogs can be territorial around food and made sure the environment was safe and worked for what they each needed. I also thought she did a fantastic job gauging the safety of the environment and paying attention to the weather. We had a heatwave this weekend, and she was really tuned in to the dogs during their outdoor walks and made sure they were safe and comfortable. I loved the photo updates, too. And I don't know if this is just a normal Rover feature, but it was really fun being able to see the routes she took while walking them! Communication was absolutely perfect throughout the whole stay. I also really appreciated the time she took to come to our home beforehand, meet the dogs, and meet us as a family. She asked thoughtful questions and really took the time to understand our dogs and what they needed, which gave me a lot of confidence going into the weekend. My two dogs are very special and very beloved, but they are also high-care, high-anxiety dogs who need a lot of reassurance and attention. Theresa was wonderful with them, and I would absolutely have her care for them again. I highly recommend her!
Rachel was such a caring and kind sitter for our two precious kitties. We are very grateful to have found Rachel and plan on hiring her for future pet sitting needs! Highly recommend. My first time using Rover and wasn’t sure what to expect. I usually take my two (older but active) dogs with me on trips, but couldn’t this time. Sarah bonded with the dogs quickly, and then went beyond my expectations in check-ins, providing not just basic care, but giving meds, playing with them, and giving me the reassurance I needed.
Breonna was amazing with our dogs and cat. They’re not comfortable with most people, but they loved her and even our cat who never talks to anyone came out to say Hi to her. She cared for them during our 8 day trip out of the country. We felt at peace the entire time, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to care for our babies. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
