“I thought Theresa was completely outstanding. She really went above and beyond taking care of my two larger dogs, who both need a little extra hand-holding. She even took the time to hand-feed my younger, anxious dog to make sure she was eating and was comfortable. She was also really aware of the fact that my dogs can be territorial around food and made sure the environment was safe and worked for what they each needed. I also thought she did a fantastic job gauging the safety of the environment and paying attention to the weather. We had a heatwave this weekend, and she was really tuned in to the dogs during their outdoor walks and made sure they were safe and comfortable. I loved the photo updates, too. And I don't know if this is just a normal Rover feature, but it was really fun being able to see the routes she took while walking them! Communication was absolutely perfect throughout the whole stay. I also really appreciated the time she took to come to our home beforehand, meet the dogs, and meet us as a family. She asked thoughtful questions and really took the time to understand our dogs and what they needed, which gave me a lot of confidence going into the weekend. My two dogs are very special and very beloved, but they are also high-care, high-anxiety dogs who need a lot of reassurance and attention. Theresa was wonderful with them, and I would absolutely have her care for them again. I highly recommend her!”

“Our Lucy is a pandemic dog who gets very sad when she is alone. Our Alexa notifies us of her mournful cries. However, with just 2 visits a day Rebecca divided her with enough engagement and affection that we never received even one notification over a 3 day period!! You brought games for Lucy to play and loved on her like she was her own.l She brought games for Lucy to play and loved on her like she was her own. We are entering our older years and Lucy is a young dog. There are some rules that we have for her so that she does not become too exuberant for our aging bodies. Rebecca, listened to those closely when she met us and reinforced them for us, when she was here. That is very important to us for Lucy's overall training and for us being able to keep her for a long time. When we did the meet and greet with Rebecca, Lucy formed an attachment to her. We used Rebecca's name often during that visit. When I told Lucy that we were leaving for 3 days, her ears went down - when I told her Rebecca was coming to visit her ears perked up.”

About: I’ve owned both cats and dogs from a young age. I also have previously worked at a boarding and grooming facility, and have volunteered at local humane societies. I am currently part-time and have extensive availability. Just make sure to check with me about extended house visits or reoccurring appointments, and I will let you know my schedule ahead of time! About: I have worked at a vet clinic for 5 years as a vet assistant so I’m very knowledgeable in the field. I have taken care of family dogs and 1 personal dog. I’ll be available Tuesday after 3:30pm, Thursdays after 12:30pm, and some weekends until October 14th. I’ll have a different schedule after that as I’ll be in a different stage of vet school. About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, snakes, tarantulas, and horses. With my love and closeness to animals growing up, I continued into the veterinary medicine world after high school and have worked within clinic settings for the past 7 years! I am experienced and comfortable with administering both oral and injectable medications, bathing, and much more. I plan to become a certified veterinary technician as well in the near future. While I do work full time during the week, I am still often able to accommodate multiple visits a day due to my lunch break! I don’t mind an early morning to make sure your pets are taken care of before the workday either. Because mid-day visits are on my break, the time I will be available for these visit will be dependent on the travel time. As my apartment is too small to accommodate any dogs or additional cats, I would be treating your home with the utmost respect! It’s your (and especially your pet’s) safe space, and that needs to be protected. I will always clean up after any messes if they are made by your pet and reach out to make sure you’re aware!

About: Long time pet owner of a Yorkie who recently passed at the age of 16 and rescued cat for 14 years. Senior and puppy/kitty care. I just retired. I have a part-time after school job so I have day time, overnight and some weekends available to come to your home. I recently lost my Yorkie of 16 years. About: Greetings! First - thank you for considering me and my services. I have been a pet owner all my life, and have been the proud parent of hamsters, fish, cats, dogs, and a rabbit! I'm also a responsible house sitter, having been both a homeowner and a renter, I understand the value of not just your pets, but your possessions, your mail and plants, the cozy space of your home, the relationships with your neighbors. I have provided these services for friends and families for most of my life. I have always loved animals and I have always owned pets, been a member of dog parks and puppy play groups, and I volunteered for the Champaign Humane Society for many years. I have also had pets with medication needs, so I am experienced in that area. For years I also groomed my own dogs, and I know that each pet has its own needs, preferences, and personalities. Finally, I recently lost my dog of 15 years, and although I now live somewhere that does not allow pets, I need animals in my life! From my own experience of being a Rover customer for many years, I also know how important it is to pet sit within your home with no disruption to your pet's routine or surroundings. I'm retired, so I can be flexible with your scheduling needs for both your pets and your home. I'm both an early riser and a night owl, so whatever works for you also works for me! I have been both a renter and homeowner, so I know how valuable your pets are, but also your cozy home, your plants, mail, and relationships with your neighbors. I have owned a bunny, hamsters, cats and dogs. But I also have an affinity for birds and reptiles. I have provided services for friends and family most of my life, now I just want to bring in a bit of extra cash to supplement social security. I'm also mainly a homebody, so if your home or your pets need extra care or a lot of time, I'm fully available.
