Given my flexible work schedule, I would easily be able to fit drop-ins into my weekly routine. If you need me to come by at a specific time, I would likely be able to honor that time.

Safety, trust & environment
My home has two water fountains that my husband I maintain. Each morning, I top off the water fountains with fresh water. I have the fountain filters on a subscribe and save, and a calendar reminder on my phone to clean the fountains every 2 weeks. I care a lot about my cats’ water being fresh and clean, as I’d want to drink water that way. My cats have an automatic feeder for their dry food, and are served wet food every night. They each get a few Greenies each morning, and the occasional treat through the day. I trim their nails every week. My short haired cat gets brushed every week, while my medium haired cat gets brushed every day or two to prevent matting. We have four litter boxes. We use Pretty Litter, which changes color if urine pH is off. Fortunately, it’s never been a concerning color. I scoop the litter every few days, and we change the litter and clean the boxes/mats every 2 weeks. Working from home has been a blessing because there is plenty of opportunities in the day to pause and play with my kitties. We have a variety of tunnels and toys. My husband also built a cat condo into the wall, with scratching and climbing posts.

Information Laura M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your cat tries to escape when opening the front door. One of my cats will poke her face into the hall while the door is opening and try to run into the apartment hallway, so I’m prepared to stop a possible escapee!
A typical day
Depending on how curious your kitty is of me, I can be as playful as they’ll allow. For cats who are unsure of my presence, I’ll be sure to let them come to me, speak to them with a calm voice, and give them ample opportunities to smell my belongings. With your approval, I’m happy to start any first interaction with some treats to establish trust. For more social kitties, I’ll be sure to play with them as much as they’d like! I’m often very active when playing with my own cats. I’m happy to bring a wand toy if that’s their thing!

Cat care experience
I work from home - so I have a lot of flexibility in caring for your kitty. I don’t have dogs, and do not take care of dogs on Rover. I don’t smoke, don’t have kids, and have a clean, quiet, peaceful home. I only board for one feline family at a time. I have 3 cats who have been very accommodating of overnight feline guests. My neighbor and friend is a vet, and has been a great resource when I have concerns about my cats. I’m also vetted through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Illinois.

Amazing sitter!

Laura was wonderful! She spent lots of time with our cat, Theo while we were away for a week and Theo did great! She sent lots of pictures and always provided great updates. We will be reaching out again the future!

I could not have asked for a better, more attentive, friendly and reliable cat sitter!!!! I wish I could give more stars. My cats are afraid of everyone. Laura pre prepped with me; brought items with her and her cats scent to make them more comfortable. Her daily check ins were detailed and made me feel at ease. I would recommend her for anyone who loves their kitties and needs someone they can trust.
