About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. “Michael was great. He kept communication clear and let us know how the dogs were doing. We have two huge boys who are pretty much lap dogs. He handled them gracefully. Definitely recommend!”

About: In addition to my life of loving, respecting, and caring for animals in my community, I've also worked as a Veterinary Assistant. I have experience assisting Technicians and Veterinarians in running an Animal Hospital that serves about 25+ small animals per day. I've worked individually and with my team to do anything from a nail trim to a blood draw, to monitoring vitals during surgery, and fostering a calm secure environment while doing so. I've maintained a fear-free environment and prevented waiting-area conflicts between patients while at the front desk completing clerical duties. Now I'm currently caring for some of my former patients and clients with a diverse abilities and needs in the comfort of their homes. I am applying to veterinary school and have a lot if flexibility with my schedule. Since I'm taking a break from working in hospitals and focusing on my academics, I would love to keep petcare as part of my routine, and I can adapt to your pet's routine. I treat overnight stays like your furry friends favorite sleepover. I will be sure to maintain their daily routines promptly and thoroughly, sprinkle in some of their favorite things, and shower them in love to keep them distracted from missing you too much while you're away. As for my more shy friends, I will be sure to acts smoothly and calmly throughout the night. I will try to build their trust by bringing as much predictibility as possible in this unusual situation.

About: I am a animal lover who has cared for many different animals over my lifetime. From a young age I have owned dogs, cats, birds, and many more! I enjoy being around animals and have taken care of pets both in home and while owners are away! I am a happy soul and would love to meet and care for your pet! I work full time in NYC in and can do walks in the afternoon lunch hour most weekdays. Weekends are always free for more walk and play time. Willing to adjust and accommodate with your schedule! “I have a mini dachshund with advanced renal issues. She needs subcutaneous fluids on daily basis. Even one day away is critical in keeping the disease from advancing. For the 2 days I was away, I couldn't have asked for a kinder, sensitive and caring person to care for my little Ruth. She is a life saver and we are grateful that we can rely on her the next time we are away. Thank you Jen from the bottom of our hearts.”

“Alec was phenomenal and took good care of my pups. He met my dogs on a meet and greet with sincerity and professionalism. Even contacted me to let me know that one of the dogs ate the other dogs food lol.”

About: I've been caring for animals for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I currently care for my own high-energy Shepherd mix, so I'm comfortable handling large, energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. I've also cared for multiple cats while their owners were away, making sure they were fed, had fresh water, clean litter boxes, plenty of attention (or space, depending on their personality), and that their owners received regular updates for peace of mind. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience caring for dogs with medical needs. My current dog is undergoing heartworm treatment, which has taught me how important it is to follow medication schedules, activity restrictions, and provide calm, attentive care. I also helped care for my childhood dog throughout kidney disease. Whether your pet is playful, shy, young, senior, or needs a little extra patience, I'll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have a dog of my own, so I'm used to early mornings, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and sticking to a schedule. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility for drop-in visits, walks, and pet sitting. I'll always make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I always follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and exercise needs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pets with medical needs, so I'm comfortable paying close attention to behavior and making sure they stay safe, happy, and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is in good hands.

“Julia was amazing with my cat! From the moment we connected, she was communicative, professional, and clearly a true animal lover. While I was away, she sent the sweetest updates and photos that genuinely made my day—my cat looked so happy and relaxed with her! She went above and beyond to make sure he was well-fed, played with, and comfortable. I came home to a happy, calm cat and everything in perfect order. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. I would 100% book with Julia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind sitter!”

About: I have been looking after my own dog as well as dogs in my neighborhood for around 3 years now! I have walked dogs, fed them, watched over them, and most importantly, showered them with cuddles and kisses. I cannot imagine my life without my dog so I understand what a privilege and responsibility it is to look after yours. I look forward to getting to know you and your pup! :) I am currently a full time student at Hofstra University so I can help mostly on weekends. Please be mindful that I am a student and that I have classes Monday through Thursday, but that I am willing to help whenever I can :) I promise to always respect your requests as a pet owners, care deeply for whatever pet I watch over, and be conscientious of what the dog needs at the current moment.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Uniondale
Jenny was responsive and on top of things. During the meet and greet she asked a lot of questions to make sure that she had all the information. She was happy to meet our two cats. During her visits, she checked in with me and sent pictures. Everyone was happy to have her visit.

Juliana is the best, I trust her completely with my 2 cats, Nellie & Clark! She has been watching my cats since Clark was a kitten and now he is 2 years old. He can be high energy and difficult towards my older 10 year old cat Nellie, but Juliana handles them with such love and patience. She is able to separate them during feeding times and distract Clark with playtime! She is always prompt and goes above and beyond to ensure I feel at ease that the cats are doing well while I’m away. When Juliana is watching them, I never worry!

Michael was amazing with my two shy cats. He was gentle and patient and overall just what they needed. He was respectable of our space and followed instructions well. So grateful he made my first Rover experience a smooth and positive one! Reliable and very responsive. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future.

Ella is fantastic!! I needed someone to administer subq fluids & medication to my senior tom cat while I'm away from work. Ella has done an excellent job with him everytime she comes. It gives me great peace of mind to know he's being well cared for <3 Thank you Ella!

I’m a very nervous pet owner, so leaving my cats alone while I’m on vacation is always a stressful experience. But Oluademi did an amazing job taking care of my cats and helped put me at ease every step of the way. She followed my (admittedly pretty complicated) instructions perfectly and with attention to detail. She often went the extra mile to spend time with them and reassure me that they were doing just fine, so I could enjoy my vacation. I would absolutely recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
