Animals have always taken up a huge chunk of my heart. I form an unbreakable bond with every animal I meet (even if they aren't very fond of humans). At a very young age, I was introduced to my first real pet. The connection was instant. I began pet sitting for family and friends whenever possible, taking care to keep close attention to each animal's specific needs and wants. An immense love for animals consumes me, so much that I put the animal's needs before my own, no matter the circumstances. I have cared for and looked after birds, cats, dogs of all sizes, as well as but not limited to: bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, ferrets, chinchillas, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, reptiles (bearded dragons, iguanas, monitors, water dragons, snakes) turtles, tortoises, tarantulas, and freshwater fish. I ran a rescue right out of my home for many years by the name of Busy Birds. I took in frail, sick, senior, or unwanted animals from all over the state and the surrounding areas and nursed them back to health. Many of them stayed with me as fosters until they were adopted out to their permanent homes. But a large percentage of them won a place in my life forever. I have worked in the Veterinary field as a veterinarian assistant for three years. I have administered medications as well as syringe-fed fledglings, wild birds, and kittens on multiple occasions. I am also familiar with special needs animals. I walked dogs for a living and pet sat many different animals for multiple years. I have also managed four pet stores throughout my life and am very educated on diet, play, and intensive care.
