About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly cleaning to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard.
“Suzanne was amazing! She was accommodating, left plenty of photos and detailed notes for us, and most of all, kept our fur baby safe and happy during and after his walks. We've never felt more comfortable, and wouldn't hesitate to book her again!”

“We are incredibly grateful to Karen for taking such wonderful care of our two dogs during our vacation through drop-in visits at the house. This enabled them to stay where they were comfortable and not be boarded. Karen was both professional and friendly, making us feel completely at ease while we were away. She was in contact with photos and summaries of visits which gave us peace of mind. She fed them, let them out, and engaged them in play. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dogs, and they loved her. We will certainly be booking her services again in the future. Thank you, Karen, for your outstanding care!”

“Rachel is wonderful :) My two rescues can be quite reactive and skittish to just about any change in lifestyle. She's more than willing to jump right in & find what works for everyone. I will be using her as a regular sitter from here on out!”

About: I've been caring for animals for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I currently care for my own high-energy Shepherd mix, so I'm comfortable handling large, energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. I've also cared for multiple cats while their owners were away, making sure they were fed, had fresh water, clean litter boxes, plenty of attention (or space, depending on their personality), and that their owners received regular updates for peace of mind. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience caring for dogs with medical needs. My current dog is undergoing heartworm treatment, which has taught me how important it is to follow medication schedules, activity restrictions, and provide calm, attentive care. I also helped care for my childhood dog throughout kidney disease. Whether your pet is playful, shy, young, senior, or needs a little extra patience, I'll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have a dog of my own, so I'm used to early mornings, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and sticking to a schedule. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility for drop-in visits, walks, and pet sitting. I'll always make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I always follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and exercise needs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pets with medical needs, so I'm comfortable paying close attention to behavior and making sure they stay safe, happy, and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is in good hands.
About: For two years, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs through walks, drop-ins, and longer stays. I’ll make sure your pup gets the exercise, attention, and care they need while keeping you updated every step of the way. With advance scheduling I can walk dogs at any time and do drop-ins before 7pm! I offer a first 30 mins trial walk for free and my usual rate for any visit after that! For dogs, I always make sure they are hydrated and fed first (unless there is a specific routine) then we go into a walk and some play if they’re up to it! For the cats, I make sure they’re hydrated and fed usually after a play session so they feel satisfied and can rest easily.
“Katharine Has watched our 4 year old pup. Several times. Remi is always excited to see her. We feel score in traveling knowing Katharine is there to care for Remi. About: I am a Pre vet major in college with a minor in wildlife ecology. I also have experience as a vet intern. I am also currently working at a wildlife rehab 3-4 days a week so some days I am only available for early morning walks or late night walks. My whole life I have grown up around dogs. My mom was always brining different starts into the house until they found homes. When my family or friends would go away on vacation I would take care of their pets for them. I would go over to their house and feed and play with them until they got tired. I even would take them on walks or bring them to the dog park if they asked me to I would take their dog to the dog park to play. Ever since I have been in 6th grade I have been volunteering at an animal rescue every Saturday. While I am there I help raise donations and work with the dogs that have behavioral issues. I work part time at two jobs so my hours are pretty flexible. I mostly work in the mornings and free the rest of the day I have a huge fenced in backyard with plenty of space to run around. I also have 2 dogs and 3 cats to keep ur fur baby company. I am able to crate ur dog if needed.
“Janine did a great job spending time with Nala on a very hot day when it was difficult to do things outside! She communicated with us and sent us pictures of Nala during her visit!”

“We love Jayda and will definitely be using her again! She was so great with our girl, took her on walks and sent us lots of pics through out the visit- which made us feel so comfortable! Absolutely recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Meadow
Harshita was a great sitter! She performed all her tasks meticulously. I wasn’t worried about my cats while they were under her care. I had peace of mind while my family and I traveled overseas. I also appreciated how she went above and beyond to tidy up the house before the booking reservation was over. She took out the garbage, cleaned up around the litter and food area, swept and did the dishes. I can’t recommend her enough and will definitely rebook her for the future!
Juliana is the best, I trust her completely with my 2 cats, Nellie & Clark! She has been watching my cats since Clark was a kitten and now he is 2 years old. He can be high energy and difficult towards my older 10 year old cat Nellie, but Juliana handles them with such love and patience. She is able to separate them during feeding times and distract Clark with playtime! She is always prompt and goes above and beyond to ensure I feel at ease that the cats are doing well while I’m away. When Juliana is watching them, I never worry!

Michael was amazing with my two shy cats. He was gentle and patient and overall just what they needed. He was respectable of our space and followed instructions well. So grateful he made my first Rover experience a smooth and positive one! Reliable and very responsive. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future.

I’m a very nervous pet owner, so leaving my cats alone while I’m on vacation is always a stressful experience. But Oluademi did an amazing job taking care of my cats and helped put me at ease every step of the way. She followed my (admittedly pretty complicated) instructions perfectly and with attention to detail. She often went the extra mile to spend time with them and reassure me that they were doing just fine, so I could enjoy my vacation. I would absolutely recommend her!

This was our second drop-in visit, and he once again did an amazing job. He took great care of each one of our cats, cleaned the litter boxes thoroughly, refreshed their water, and made sure everyone was happy. We really appreciate how attentive and reliable he is. Highly recommend!

Lauryn was so nice and attentive to feeding my cat and fish. She always kindly asked if there was anything more she should do, and communicated with me every day to tell me when she was going to stop by. She always took pictures of the food she refilled during each visit. Thank you Lauryn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
