About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. “Wei came to my home to care for my 2 cats. She was attentive and sweet and my cats felt comfortable with her. She also made sure they had adequate water and food, and she diligently cleaned their litter boxes. I am thankful for her help!”

“Suzanne was amazing! She was accommodating, left plenty of photos and detailed notes for us, and most of all, kept our fur baby safe and happy during and after his walks. We've never felt more comfortable, and wouldn't hesitate to book her again!”

“Michael was great. He kept communication clear and let us know how the dogs were doing. We have two huge boys who are pretty much lap dogs. He handled them gracefully. Definitely recommend!”

About: I have experience caring for pets through both professional work and personal ownership. I currently provide dog walking and pet care through Wag!, where I’ve worked with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, including senior dogs and more active breeds. I’ve also had the opportunity to build trust with repeat clients by providing dependable, compassionate care. As a proud cat mom to two cats, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and recognizing each pet’s unique personality. In addition, I’ve volunteered with a cat rescue, where I cared for cats with a wide range of temperaments, cleaned enclosures, socialized cats, and administered oral and topical medications when needed. I also spent a year working at a family-owned pet store that specialized in dogs, cats, and exotic animals, giving me hands-on experience with daily animal care and pet wellness. My goal is to provide every pet with a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while giving pet parents peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Since I also drive, I’m able to reliably travel to visits, walks, and drop-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each week. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe pets feel happiest in their own home, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before each visit. I always ensure doors, gates, and harnesses are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“I have a mini dachshund with advanced renal issues. She needs subcutaneous fluids on daily basis. Even one day away is critical in keeping the disease from advancing. For the 2 days I was away, I couldn't have asked for a kinder, sensitive and caring person to care for my little Ruth. She is a life saver and we are grateful that we can rely on her the next time we are away. Thank you Jen from the bottom of our hearts.”

I’m working part time during the summer so I have lots of availability to care for your animals! I can provide care throughout the week and on weekends! When I sit for families I always send lots of photos and videos to parents because I know they miss their furry friends so much!

“Amazing doesn’t quite describe Susan because she’s so much more. She took such great care of our two kitties while we were on almost 2 week vacation. She provided daily updates on the kitties and on the house and even took our mail in. It made our vacation so much more pleasurable knowing that we didn’t have to worry and we came home to very happy kitties. I will definitely ask Susan to watch them again and hope that she’s available when we travel:)”

“Breanna was an amazing pet sitter for my dog and cat!! She went above and beyond caring for them and was super communicative and loving with them. Would definitely have her pet sit for them again ❤️❤️”

“Katharine Has watched our 4 year old pup. Several times. Remi is always excited to see her. We feel score in traveling knowing Katharine is there to care for Remi. She is attentive, loving, responsible, caring and communicative. She sends pictures. Will continue to use her to watch Remi. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to her if you are in need of a sitter.”

About: I've been caring for animals for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I currently care for my own high-energy Shepherd mix, so I'm comfortable handling large, energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. I've also cared for multiple cats while their owners were away, making sure they were fed, had fresh water, clean litter boxes, plenty of attention (or space, depending on their personality), and that their owners received regular updates for peace of mind. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience caring for dogs with medical needs. My current dog is undergoing heartworm treatment, which has taught me how important it is to follow medication schedules, activity restrictions, and provide calm, attentive care. I also helped care for my childhood dog throughout kidney disease. Whether your pet is playful, shy, young, senior, or needs a little extra patience, I'll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have a dog of my own, so I'm used to early mornings, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and sticking to a schedule. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility for drop-in visits, walks, and pet sitting. I'll always make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I always follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and exercise needs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pets with medical needs, so I'm comfortable paying close attention to behavior and making sure they stay safe, happy, and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is in good hands.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Merrick
Jenny was responsive and on top of things. During the meet and greet she asked a lot of questions to make sure that she had all the information. She was happy to meet our two cats. During her visits, she checked in with me and sent pictures. Everyone was happy to have her visit.

Christy was an excellent sitter for my cat Velvet while I was away for a week !!!! Christy was courteous, professional, and attentive to all of my cat's needs! The daily check-ins and pictures provided by Christy were much appreciated and helped soothe my nerves. I would definitely book Christy again in a heartbeat, and I will definitely refer her to others I know who need sitters for their fur babies! Thanks again Christy for a job well done and for going above and beyond!

Juliana is the best, I trust her completely with my 2 cats, Nellie & Clark! She has been watching my cats since Clark was a kitten and now he is 2 years old. He can be high energy and difficult towards my older 10 year old cat Nellie, but Juliana handles them with such love and patience. She is able to separate them during feeding times and distract Clark with playtime! She is always prompt and goes above and beyond to ensure I feel at ease that the cats are doing well while I’m away. When Juliana is watching them, I never worry!

Michael was amazing with my two shy cats. He was gentle and patient and overall just what they needed. He was respectable of our space and followed instructions well. So grateful he made my first Rover experience a smooth and positive one! Reliable and very responsive. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future.

I’m a very nervous pet owner, so leaving my cats alone while I’m on vacation is always a stressful experience. But Oluademi did an amazing job taking care of my cats and helped put me at ease every step of the way. She followed my (admittedly pretty complicated) instructions perfectly and with attention to detail. She often went the extra mile to spend time with them and reassure me that they were doing just fine, so I could enjoy my vacation. I would absolutely recommend her!

This was our second drop-in visit, and he once again did an amazing job. He took great care of each one of our cats, cleaned the litter boxes thoroughly, refreshed their water, and made sure everyone was happy. We really appreciate how attentive and reliable he is. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
