About: I've been caring for animals for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I currently care for my own high-energy Shepherd mix, so I'm comfortable handling large, energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. About: I have been around dogs for most of my life, having owned two dogs from ages 6-20, and I have since gained hands-on experience caring for pets with a wide range of personalities, ages and needs. I’ve pet sat for both cats and dogs, including caring for four cats and two dogs at once, managing litter boxes, wet and dry food routines, playtime and plenty of attention and affection. About: Over the course of my time I've taken care of and lived with goldfish, parakeets, a big old mutt, several great cats...and chickens. Considering that I grew up in Manhattan, I'd say that if that doesn't account for exeptional qualifications to love and care for our furry (or scaly, or feathered) friends, I'm not sure what could! Our kids are off exploring the world as newly minted adults leaving my wife and I with two finicky cats. With a little extra time on my hands I thought it would be a good idea to help other pet owners out to work all day or preferably, gone on a much needed vacation but looking for someone to check in on their furry loved ones. I freelance from home as a designer, so I typically have time at both ends of the day to extend a helping hand to anyone who needs a little extra care for their pet. We have 2 cats at home of whom I am the primary caretaker of, so adding a visit to a neighbor in need would be easy.
