“Stephanie is awesome. She does recurring drop-in visits with our dog, Rudy, and she’s knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. She plays with him in the backyard, and when he wants to come inside, she spends the rest of the session working with him on tricks and commands. I really appreciate this because some sitters treat drop-in visits more casually and would probably just sit down for the remainder of the scheduled time. Stephanie also has a ton of experience with temperamental dogs. I was very impressed with her knowledge during our meet and greet, and it’s comforting to know Rudy is in such good hands. I would 100% recommend her.”

About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. About: I have a degree in veterinary science and I’m currently on the road to attend veterinary school! I have lots of knowledge on pet behavior and how to properly care for them. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician for the past few years. I’ve worked in general practice, emergency animal hospitals, and even a pet hotel. I’ve cared for hundreds of patients, provided preventative care, treatments, medications, cleaned their kennels, walked dogs, and played with them. I also helped my senior dog turn around her health around by helping her lose 8 lbs! I’ve been working with animals for the past few years, I truly love what I do. I’m a veterinary technician so I’m no stranger to daily pet care for cats & dogs. In my home, I take care of both of my cats. I feed them, clean their litter boxes, clip their nails, and clean their ears.

“Amazing again! We came back from our trip to very happy kitties:) Susan was great in keeping us up to date on both the kitties and the house. She will be the first one we’ll reach out to next time we travel!”

About: I've been caring for animals for years and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I currently care for my own high-energy Shepherd mix, so I'm comfortable handling large, energetic dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and reading body language. I've also cared for multiple cats while their owners were away, making sure they were fed, had fresh water, clean litter boxes, plenty of attention (or space, depending on their personality), and that their owners received regular updates for peace of mind. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience caring for dogs with medical needs. My current dog is undergoing heartworm treatment, which has taught me how important it is to follow medication schedules, activity restrictions, and provide calm, attentive care. I also helped care for my childhood dog throughout kidney disease. Whether your pet is playful, shy, young, senior, or needs a little extra patience, I'll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have a dog of my own, so I'm used to early mornings, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and sticking to a schedule. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility for drop-in visits, walks, and pet sitting. I'll always make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I always follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and exercise needs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pets with medical needs, so I'm comfortable paying close attention to behavior and making sure they stay safe, happy, and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is in good hands.

About: Ever since I was a kid. I was relied on by friends, family and neighbors to care for their dogs. As a dog owner, I know how important your pet is and I would treat them as well as I treat my own. Whether I come to provide walks or have the dog stay with us, my home will be their home. Currently, over the weekends, I have lots of flexibility and time to care for your dog. During the summer, I have more availability for more long term care. Lots of attention, walks, playtime with our dog Rosie and myself. I have two kids (10 and 13) and my wife in the house who will also shower your dog with love and attention. I will follow whatever routine has worked for you as the owner to ensure an easy transition. I have a fenced in yard in the back where our dog goes out all the time. It is a safe place on a safe block in a safe neighborhood. Our doors remain locked throughout the day but also cannot be opened by dogs if unlocked. I have cameras around the house and an alarm system for the house.
“Julia was amazing with my cat! From the moment we connected, she was communicative, professional, and clearly a true animal lover. While I was away, she sent the sweetest updates and photos that genuinely made my day—my cat looked so happy and relaxed with her! She went above and beyond to make sure he was well-fed, played with, and comfortable. I came home to a happy, calm cat and everything in perfect order. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. I would 100% book with Julia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m Oli, a recent grad with almost ten years of experience petsitting. I’m back on Rover for the first time in a while after some of my long-term clients moved/had kids & aren’t in need of a sitter as frequently as before, and I’m looking forward to building relationships with new clients and making friends with your pets. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience taking care of dogs & cats of all ages and sizes with varying levels of needs, including rescues with significant anxiety/trauma and seniors with medical issues/cognitive decline. I can also maintain/clean freshwater fish tanks, and although I have minimal experience with exotic pets, I do have some familiarity with their needs and am quick & eager to learn more if you have any! Thanks so much for checking out my profile & considering me to take care of your non-human family members :^) I’m currently looking for work (great job market right now!!) and generally have a lot of free time. I’m mostly available during weekends and overnight during the week (when I know 100% that someone will be home to take care of Spencer), but I’m good to arrange weekday visits too!! Unfortunately, I cannot board your pet(s) in my home currently — my 14 y/o dog Spencer is ever-so-slightly senile and has developed some issues with reactivity & resource guarding

About: I've had pets my whole life. As I child i've had a dog and 2 cats. When I was 21 I got my first dog and 6 years later I adopted another fur baby. Ive trained these 2 dogs since they were puppies and they are very well house trained and lease trained. I have pet sit on many occasions. I schedule feeding times, walks, play sessions, and grooming as needed throughout the day. It's all about balance and ensuring that the pets in my care receive the attention and care they need while also managing other responsibilities. I cannot thank Stephanie enough for taking care of my sweet pup! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous, hoping to find the right sitter while I was out of town for a few hours. Stephanie put all of my worries at ease during our meet & greet and I got to see firsthand how sweetly she interacted with my dog. During the week, my pup came down with an ear infection and needed to take antibiotics. I told Stephanie, and she gave my dog the antibiotic with ease. She is trustworthy, dependable, and an all around great sitter.

Jenny was responsive and on top of things. During the meet and greet she asked a lot of questions to make sure that she had all the information. She was happy to meet our two cats. During her visits, she checked in with me and sent pictures. Everyone was happy to have her visit.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
