Hi, I’m Blake! I currently have two dachshunds, ages 6 and 12, as well as an 11-year-old German Shepherd/Chongqing mix rescued from the Chinese dog meat trade. I’ve adopted another senior German Shep mix from China, but still waiting for his flight. My first dachshund lived to be 17, so I have extensive experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and rescue dogs with trauma or special behavioral needs. I’m comfortable working with pets of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I also have experience caring for cats. My rescue background includes working for No Dogs Left Behind as an Adoption and Foster Coordinator and with Cannoli’s Sweet Life Senior Rescue as an Adoption Ambassador. Animal rescue remains a major part of my life, and I continue to support nonprofit organizations whenever possible. I graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Business Administration and now work full-time as a professional pet sitter while running my own business, Blake’s DogDash Inc. I’m currently working toward a professional dog-training certification and plan to pursue a veterinary technician degree in the future. I’m passionate about providing dependable, individualized care and making every pet feel safe and comfortable. My long-term goal is to open a dog daycare that also helps provide care and shelter for dogs rescued from the meat trade.
