About: Hi! My name is Marissa, 26 years old & I live in Rockville Centre. Growing up, dogs were always part of my life. While living home with my parents, I helped care for our 3 dogs- Sugar, Cookie & Leche- which gave me experience caring for multiple dogs at once, of all different breeds, ages & temperaments. More recently, my boyfriend and I rescued a cat, which has given me experience with cat care as well! I’m committed to providing quality & attentive- care, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I am patient, flexible, and dependable, and look forward to meeting new fur babies and their owners! I have availability during the day into the late evenings from Sunday- Friday. About: My first job was as a dog walker when I was 12! I have grown up with cats and dogs - caring for them from puppies/kittens through to their golden years. I have also dog/house sat for a large rescue + their several senior cats! My goal is to get to know each pet I interact with so that me and your pet can enjoy our time together. Furry friends are family and I treat them as such. I have also volunteered at 2 different rescues over the past several years helping care for cats as well as walk and play with dogs of all ages. I am currently finishing my last year of medical school so my schedule is not completely free. However, I do typically have evenings, weekends, and a random day off during the week! I work midday so I can walk your dog before 11am or most likely after 7 pm. Even if you just need me to go feed your cats! About: Over the course of my time I've taken care of and lived with goldfish, parakeets, a big old mutt, several great cats...and chickens. Considering that I grew up in Manhattan, I'd say that if that doesn't account for exeptional qualifications to love and care for our furry (or scaly, or feathered) friends, I'm not sure what could! Our kids are off exploring the world as newly minted adults leaving my wife and I with two finicky cats. With a little extra time on my hands I thought it would be a good idea to help other pet owners out to work all day or preferably, gone on a much needed vacation but looking for someone to check in on their furry loved ones.
