About: I've always loved dogs since I was little but never actually had one. On a drive up to my dad's job, is when my birthday wishes had finally come true. My dad and I had rescued my dog, Ebby, from a busy nearby highway and since that day my love for dogs has grown even more. All I've ever wanted to do was make them as happy as they made me. I've owned my dog for nearly 10 years now and our bond is still strong, even after my four years spent up at college. I look forward to walking a bunch of dogs using this Rover app and I am also willing to take them on little runs if it's okay with the owners!

Between experiences with my own rescue dogs, working and volunteering in animal shelters, being lead supervisor at a doggie daycare/boarding facility, pet photography, and several years in the pet retail industry, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and experiences. I can easily crate dogs if need be, and can give medication to even the pickiest of eaters. I have no issues with getting dogs leashed, including getting them into harnesses or head-halters.

I am available after 5:00pm on weekdays, and requested times on weekends, and I am very accommodating to special dog needs such as length of walks and staying within certain areas. I also worked at a dog shelter and have worked with dogs of all ages and sizes. I Iove getting to know each individual dog and their personalities. I will treat your dog as if it is my own, and am comfortable giving oral medication to your dog. Depending on requests, I can also take dogs on car rides and to the park/beach. I currently work during the day on weekdays, but I am available after 5:00 and am available on weekends when you may need! I am happy to do short check-ins or walks. About: I have been an animal lover my entire life, and dogs are the greatest animal of all. I currently volunteer at North Shore Animal League as well as the Hope for Cleo Animal Rescue in Suffolk. I'm a wildlife biologist, and I've spent most of my life taking care of animals — in a veterinary setting, on wildlife conservation projects, and growing up in my own home with my family pets. I work as a full-time biologist during the spring/summer, and will have open availability over the fall, winter, and spring to help with your pet care needs! I started out as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital, where my days were cleaning dog kennels and cat cages, feeding and watering, walking dogs, giving oral and topical medications, holding animals for exams, and keeping daily records on everyone in our care. This job is where I learned how to understand an animal’s body language, and how to adjust my own to make sure they feel safe. Since then I've graduated from university and have worked as a field biologist for state and federal agencies, most recently monitoring endangered shorebirds at Jones Beach State Park here on Long Island. I don't adjust a dose or skip one because an animal is being difficult — I'll message you instead. Following written protocols precisely is most of what my professional work has been, in a veterinary hospital and in the field, and I treat your instructions the same way. I pay attention and I report: appetite, water, litter box or bathroom habits, energy, and anything that looks off. If something seems wrong I'll contact you right away. If it looks like an emergency and I can't reach you, I'll get your pet to your vet or the nearest emergency clinic and keep calling. And I look after the house. I clean up after your pet and after myself, I keep your keys and door codes private, I don't bring anyone with me, and I leave the place better than I found it. You'll get photos and a short real update after every visit. I also welcome any feedback, as that helps me do a better job in the future!
